[Resolved] Club Mahindra Holidays — company representatives | |||||
A harrowing experience. Yesterday (15-july-2017), my wife recieved a call from club mahindra inviting us to their outlet located at viviana mall, thane. The objective of this invitation was to exhibit their offerings to us. We were greeted by a lady who gave us a form which i duly filled. Then she asked me if i knew or heard about club mahindra. I didnt and i conveyed my polite response to her. She asked me the same question in active/passive voice (I thought i was attending a elementary grammar class) twice or thrice. Obviously my response budged to change. What came next was bit of a surprise. She curtly said, "why are you here? What are you expecting?". I bemusingly replied, "well, we were invited - so here we are - to know what your offerings are". Towards that she said, "ohh... So you are here just because you recieved a call from us?". I really was taken aback and was left astonished. "apparently..." was all i could manage. Whatever happened to mr. Porter's "customer intimacy and mangement" principles. Nevertheless, arent we used to this. But perhaps, certainly not if you are invited and your are visiting in the capacity of a guest. Well, then she left us on a ignorant note simply stating, "there will be another lady who would give you the presentation". Whatever happened to the gratitude and courtesy of the term "thank you". I did my part with the complementary of "pleasure" - was bit ironic though. Then came another lady - same questions - apparently time was of no essence. She was joined by her manager, at least that is how she introduced him. This gentleman had a brief look at the form which i filled few moments ago. Initially he started with few pertinent questions and as i was just getting the impression that finally we are getting somewhere - this gentleman disturbed the momentum. "so you dont visit resorts so much - club mahindra is just not for your likes". Now, bemusement would be a understatement here. This gentleman not only deduced what suits me but also got a firm grip of "my likes" in a matter of minutes. He must be an avid follower of "sherlock" seasons. I still pretended to maintain some sanity and curiously shrugged with a response, "well, maybe, but there is no harm in getting enlightened with your offerings now that we are here - as invited - anyways". This gentleman is in a capacity of a manager of his sales representatives. His representatives were curt, arrogant, ignorant and unthankful. But why am i not surprised - they are thriving under mr. Sherlock's guidance. Expecting anything else would be like trying to prove that the sun revolves round the earth. So, this was my and my wife's ordeal of 1.5 hrs. This was suppose to last 45 mins - atleast that is what was conveyed to us. So, this is what club mahindra is all about. If this is how they treat their prospects what would be the sequel once someone does sign up. I went through some of the posts on this page and not surprisingly bulk of them are really sorry for having signed up. I mean really - is this a scam? Was this information helpful? | |||||
