[Resolved] Club Mahindra Holidays — unethical misleading communication by sales and inadequate response from customer care

My club mahindra membership is 2772572. I want to cancel my club mahindra membership.

During the sales presentation by club mahindra, when i was sold this membership, i was told that by becoming a club mahindra member, i automatically become a member of the rci network, where i can transfer any of my 175 club mahindra nights to rci for getting free accommodation on their properties.

I kept calling up my relationship office - tushar mallik ([protected]) to check about the rci part of my membership, and he said that i would receive the rci booklet in some months. He had mentioned i would get it by jan 2018. Recently, i called rci and they said that my rci membership would get activated in may 2018. That is a disconnect.

Recently, i called rci and i was told certain things that shocked me:

If i want to use club mahindra nights to book rci, i am compelled to book 7 nights in rci in one go. I was not told during the sales presentation that rci needs to be booked for a minimum of 7 nights.
If i want to avail a stay at an rci property not only do i need to book it for 7 nights by transferring 7 club mahindra nights, i also need to pay rci a booking fee of rs. 9200 (Approx/-) for properties in india and south-east asia and a booking fee of rs. 24000 (Approx) for other international locations. I was not told about this payment for the rci booking. I was given to understand that it was a simple transfer of nights from club mahindra to rci.
I came to know that i only get a complementary rci membership for only 2 years, which i was not told during the sales presentation. I was told that i get an rci membership along with the club mahindra membership, which would imply that the rci membership would be valid throughout the tenure of the club mahindra membership.

When i called customer care at club mahindra, i was promised a conference call among club mahindra, rci, and myself, which has not yet happened.

I called tushar mallik (Club mahindra sales and my relationship officer) twice. On both occasions he cut my phone with a message that he would call me back later, which did not happen. Then, finally i managed to speak with him and explain my frustration. He said that he would check with rci and call me back within 2 days. Five days have passed and i have not received any call back. I tried calling him but he keeps cutting my phone.

I am deeply dissatisfied with the lack of ethics and the communication issues and i wish to escalate this matter and am also considering cancelling my club mahindra membership.

Please do the needful.
