[Resolved]  Apeejay School, Noida — Bad management and poor teacher in primary dept.

I have found Apeejay School, Noida as the worst school ever one can choose for his or her child. In Primary department, there are over 40 students in each class and not even one dedicated helper (maid) to help the teacher. When we find it difficult to handle our one or two kids, how does the school management expect one teacher to manage so many children alone. There is lot of frustration among teachers too and I know few teacher who are planning to quit because of this situation. It is also affecting the children. The teacher is hardly able to pay attention to the class and then the nursey incharge blames the child for being naughty. We have ourself seen teachers reacting very badly to a small mistake of any child. Becasue of no help the teachers are not able to even perform their routine duties. There is no check if the student is in the class or not... the child will be in play ground for hours together and the teacher will never come to know because if it is just impossible for one teacher to keep track of the activities of 40-45 children. The school just wants to take brilliant students. My child is very bright and active in class but we have seen his performance go down since the time he has joined this school. We never had this problem when he went to the play school (Mother's pride) and to see if there was a problem with our child - during summer vacation I even put him in a summer camp and was in constant touch with the teacher to monitor how he is doing in the class. As expected, he was just like any other child in the class... we realised that it was because of lack of attention in the class (Appejay) that he gets distracted which is affecting his performance. The Nursery incharge says there is a problem with our child behaviour and we even consulted a child psychologist to check if there is anything wriong with our child. To our surprise all his test and ratings were normal and even the pyscholigist said that it is lack of personal attention in the school that is giving the child an opportunity to do what ever he wants. I am really regretting making such a bad choice for my child, I just hope the management gets to read this complaint and understand that they have an important role to play in a child's overall development. Just opening a school and winning few tournaments doesn't make the school "GOOD", they should plan to improve the overall qaulity of education and support staff in the school.

APJ SCHOOL ISMREALLY BAD. YOU ARE RIGHT JUST WINNING SOME TROPHIES AND ORGANIZING GOOD INTERSCHOOL(CODE) DOESNT MAKES THIS SCHOOL GOOD. THE TEACHER OF THIS SCHOOL ARE SOMDISCRIMINATING TOO, THEY ALWAYS FAVOR THE TEACHER WARDS AND THE PRINCIPAL TIWARI IS SUCH A HEADACHE, HE TALKS RUBBISH FOR HOURS. THE SCHOOL MAINTANENCE IS VERY BAD, THE SCHOOL DOESNT HAS MONEY TO FIX BASKETBALL COURT FOR 3 YEARS BUT IT HAS 11 LAKHS TOMSPEND ON ANNUAL DAY FUNCTION. THE SCHOOL IS EVEN VERY CORRUPTED, THEY TAKE MONEY FROM STUDENTS FOR SOME ACTIVITY AND THE ACTIVITY NEVER HAPPENS. THEY HAVE TEACHER WHO KNOW NOTHING BUT ARE H.O.D. THIS SCHOOL WAS EARLIER VERY GOOD I ACCEPT THAT BUT JUST FEW YEARS BACK IT HAS BECOME THE WORST.
I agree with the complainant, I got my kid admitted to this school last year. There are more than 45 kids in class . So far my experience is that its difficult to get attention of a teacher with such a poor Teacher Student ratio. Notes written in diary are hardly noticed and responded.
Learning graph of my kid has slowed down. From the hygiene perspective also they have not done much. Moreover the way they manage the closing hour of school and kids are handed over to private transporters is horrible . Small kids in queue of 7-8 board the buses on road, which is prone to very high risk . What is the use of huge infrastructure when they cannot manage the saftey of kids at all.
Apeejay is the worst school u'll ever come across. The fees they are charging is not less. Teachers have a high attitude no attention is given to ur feedback or to ur child. Worst way of teaching.
This is my 8th year in APJ school noida and I really am afraid to say that the teachers have some real problems in primary department, handling these many students makes them frustrated which leads to the bad and rude behavior of teachers to students. The school's bathroom stinks like anything, kids roam here and there for hours and hours in the ground, The buses don't follow their routes properly, one teacher handles more than 10 classes a day, kids use bad language and bully others, I must say the school is horrible, even I am planning to leave this school like other and these people are just trying to defend their school.
Forget about your experience with your child...look at the massive fraud that this institution has indulged in.
Not many know that the National Education policy does not allow anyone to make a profit from education.
That means that no school can take fees more than what is required to pay salaries, maintenance, electric bills, power bills.etc.

Can anybody who all have so many complaints can name few schools in Delhi /ncr who are totally perfect regarding education, fee wise and in teaching morals to the students.

According to me, these schools really put in their best and should be replaced by useless schools like Apeejay School, Noida:
1. The Millennium School, Sector 41 & 119, Noida.
2. Shiv Nadar School, Sector 168, Noida.
3. Presidium School, Sector 31, Noida.
It is a school with sub- par teachers, at least at primary level. Why ?? Because they hire teachers at cheap salaries, sometimes on hire and fire basis ( contractual basis) - what you pay, is what you get. This is what is hurting the quality. The original poster has some valid concerns . Yes, other schools may have same number of children in the class ( in my times- 35 per class was not an unusual number) but teachers who taught us were masters of their subject area and very experienced... simply too good.

In the past Apeejay has produced some really stellar students ( i am talking about 1993/ 94 class batches). But that was then and today... the focus seem to lie elsewhere ( profit ) !!!
Agree to it completely 50-60 students in each class, exorbitant fees that is above 10K per month in primary section, with no extra curricular activities like skating, Karate nothing . Every year in annual appreciation students are shown winning medals in skating, Karate, dance etc. but they do not even have coaches for these activities These days activities like Karate, Skating are done free of cost in other school but these are not at all there in this school curriculum.
Teachers are nice, but they are under stress and cannot do much, as the student ratio is worst.
100% agreed, specially Apeejay School, Greater Noida is pathetic condition.

Books not available for Class 2 though new session started from 3rd April 2017.

Identity card not provided till date.
Hi, I jus came across this site while searching for my kid's nursery admissions in Apeejay, and got very surprised reading the comments, especially from Apeejay Alumni...Its a genuine concern from a parent about mismatched teacher /maid to student ratio..Its not about the teacher's ability or qualification which is questioned here...Things are not always the same n tend to improvise or downfall over time, if not maintained ...n it takes efforts to maintain name and fame which Apeejay has gained over years...Those who had their golden school days (12 to 13 yrs)in Apeejay should think that it's more than a decade and a half when they were in nursery class, may be with less class strength and class teachers who were younger at that age ...if we consider the same good teachers are still teaching nursery kids, then we should also keep in mind about their growing age and need for a helping hand (maids/teachers);and if v say they have changed, then u have no right to blindly judge them and and stand in support like da supporters of a political party ...
It is a simple but genuine problem n I expect some easy solution to this instead of entering a debate over the issue..

Dear Sir,
I know we shouldn't judge a school blindly. We should also keep in mind the growing age of the teachers, but then the school should also behave the same.
The school increases its fees by 30percent, for what?
Public cares about better service, and we can pay any amount for a reasonable amount of service. But for such a deteriorating school, why should the public pay so much, only by keeping in mind the school's earlier achievements?
THINK OVER IT!!
Regards
I am newly admitted to Apeejay school, noida and found that it certainly isn't as per our expectations. The student- teacher ratio is not good since there are 50 students in one class. The school authorities don't behave well. The students have a rowdy nature.
coming to education, I think this school lacks in many things. The syllabus is of a lower level as compared to that of other schools. the teachers don't explain the chapters, instead they just make the students write the question- answers, and that too, are the ones which they're comfortable with. They don't let the students write the answers in their own words.
Bullying is a major problem in Apeejay school, Noida. the newcomers are being bullied everyday in some or the other form. The teachers are not concerned with it at all.
I humbly request all the people who praised Apeejay to kindly look from a neutral point of view, instead of making others fool, as this was not the case with The Millennium School, Noida, which I previously studied in.

And please think twice before replying to this, because THIS IS THE TRUTH!

I'd like to add a few more instances in the legacy of Apeejay School, Noida.
In the music class, the teacher just passes his time sitting idle during te whole period. He focuses only on the students who had opted for learning to pplay 'tabla'. when other students ask him to teach them, he just replies shamelessly, saying "I'm not in a mood to teach. Go away and sit, until the bell rings. I request the principal to go out of his cabin and watch the originality of the school, instead o just sitting comfortably in air- conditioned room.
The school boasts about the guards and teachers. but, recently, in the break time, I found two a boy and a girl making out in the classroom!, and there was not even a single guard or a teacher to look up. My straightforward question is to the principal, Mr. SC Tiwari, "Is this what you teach your students to be? The students abuse, beat each other, smoke in the classes. Is this what you teach your students to be?"
I warn the apeejay school noida staff, that THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK FOREVER! People will soon realise the originality of the school, and will surely withdraw their children from here.
Apeejay School has been the worst in customer satisfaction and problem resolving. Even after 3 months of my complaint, the school hasn't given even a notice to these complaints. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Apeejay School, Noida had recently organised children's day celebration in the school. Teachers danced on bollywood songs. The students were hooting, whistling, shouting to the fullest! But the teachers weren't stopping them at all! They were just ignoring them. This happens in no school other than Apeejay.

The School recently organised a seminar on road safety out in the open at the time when smog was at its fullest. Students attended it, but immediately after going to class, a girl fainted. Obviously that was only due to Smog, and the school is responsible for it.

Apeejay School is a place where teachers say that they aren't in a mood to teach, where boys smoke, make out with the girls of the school and the girls equally support it.

After the shocking incident of Ryan International School, Gurugram, Apeejay school, noida had installed CCTV Cameras in its buses, more than half of which have been either damaged or taken out.

Clearly, it is the worst school one can ever choose for his/her child.
The most hopeless school ever. The principal and teachers are only and only interested in commercial gains. Anybody who is willing to pay gets admission. You can go anydat, anytime and you would see new admissions taking place, to all standards from Nursery to Class XII. It's a no questions asked policy...pay money..get seat ...simple.
That's not all, the school has a coaching for everything, for studies, sports everything. So basically kids pay to come to school and do nothing. If you want your child to study...join Avanti Coaching, if you want your child to play sports, join Bhaichung Bhutia coaching academy.
Teachers are only interested in selling school's branded copies. It seems they are working as salesgirls on a commission basis. So there is one copy for even numbered chapters and one for odd number chapters. There are 3 copies for social studies, 3 for maths, sanskrit teachers suggests, only to use half a copy, and English teacher asks them to write the whole chapter in copies... They are really soo innovative (and disgusting) I really wish they would put even half that effort in teaching and studies.
Mr. Hasija built a strong reputation for the school, but after he left almost a decade ago, the school is on a downward spiral.
Not a single teacher is motivated to teach, each and every teacher spends half her time looking for jobs.
Really a hopeless situation.
If you are serious about your child's education don't send him here. Even government schools are better.
