I wanted to shift my house-hold stuff from Mumbai to Gangapur city and got the call from R.K.Poonia through Just-dial. I told him all the stuff that I want to transfer and he gave me the quotation of 11,000INR and told me that it will be delivered within 6 days and on these terms I agreed. he sent the man on 29th July,2010 and after packaging all the things and loading in the truck he demanded 1100 INR more on the name of service tax and denied giving the bill. After that I moved from Mumbai. I didn’t get any information till 5th August, so i called him and he told me that your stuff is still in Mumbai and he can’t transfer it on the agreed price 110000 INR. Then i reminded him the previous negotiation on the price but he told that either I take back my stuff from his go-down by paying 5000 INR or pay 10000 INR extra to get it delivered or forget my stuff. I was shocked hearing all this. But all the stuff I bought from my hard earned money and is quite valuable so after a lot of negotiations he agreed on delivering by paying 2000INR extra. After that I called him several times and he always gave ambiguous statement about the delivery. After a lot of struggle and talks, I finally received my stuff on 17th August, 2010 and he sent 10 persons with my luggage who threatened my uncle (because he was alone at that time) to pay 3000 INR instead of 2000 INR. Also when I checked the luggage, it was broken and some of the things were missing from the cartons. After that I tried calling him several times to talk about the delivery issue but every time he either cuts the phone or said to call back. So this is simply black-mailing and threatening the customer after having received the luggage of the customer.
This is black-mailing, threatening and harassment. I paid the full amount he asked as well as the 1100 INR black money in the form of service tax and even than I had to pay 2000 INR extra on delivery and bear the harassment. Every time I called him, he told me that the luggage will be delivered tomorrow and due to this I rescheduled my plans so many times. He also damaged the luggage and stolen some of the things from the carton (from unpacking and repacking).
Refund of the extra amount 3100 INR and payment against the damage of the transferred and stolen luggage. Also proper action should be taken for black-mailing, threatening and harassing so that these type of things will not happen again in future with other customers because the company will do the same type of practice with other customers unless these type of things got punished.
