[Resolved]  Abn Amro — Discrepancies in Credit Card Statement

Sub: Discrepancies in monthly statement .
Ref: Credit card #[protected]XXXX-8163.
With reference to the above I would like to bring to your notice the multiple discrepancies incorporated in my monthly statement by ABN-AMRO Bank. First of all, I’ve availed a loan of Rs.19,400/- on 23rd May,2006 (Easy Cash # [protected]) and the EMI was set to Rs.1834/- for a period of 12 months. Every month I’ve been tendering more the Minimum amount due and the afore-mentioned EMI was completed on May 2007. But the subsequent statements (i.e., from June 2007 statemnets), has been reflecting some unknown charges of Rs.7100.87/-. Since June 2007, I've been complaining to ABN-AMRO bank and also sent several reminders but they did not respond to my complaints. Moreover, in the month of September 2007, the Bank has transferred a portion of my credit card outstanding into EasyPay for an amount of Rs.39,033.19 without my consent. I brought the same to the notice of ABN-AMRO, and the charges were reversed on 10/09/2007.
Again in the month of October 2007, the statement was reflecting Rs.7100.87/- towards EasyPay Principal balance . I brought the same to the notice of ABN-AMRO Customer care and the above charges were reversed on 11/10/2007 vide statement dated 08/11/2007.

The following are the summary details of November month statement.

As per my calculation the Total amount Due comes to Rs.8,404.63 whereas the Bank statement is reflecting it as Rs. 15,505.50. Also they have charged Duplicate Statement Fee of Rs.800/- on 09/11/2007 without my consent. I have availed Internet Banking facility from ABN AMRO bank long ago. As a result, I've all copies of past 2 years statement. So the question of Duplicate statement does not arise at all. Now I don’t understand why the bank has charged Duplicate Statement Fee. The ABN-AMRO bank is adopting unfair practices in their business.

I kindly request the concerned authorities to look into the matter and initiate complaint against the bank.

The Bank is habitual to force the customers to pay the unwanted payments such as Late fees, Execess charges fees, Finance retail charges on the ground that they debited the unused demands i.e. Jet set go offer, World is your programme without the accepting the consent from the customers, and always stated the amount be reversed in next coming statement, but no reversal was be made.

I am also facing the same problems.

ABN AMRO — Disputed transaction in ABN AMRO bank credit card

I have a credit card of ABN AMRO BANK.
There is a transaction of amount Rs. 2494.55 in my statement of Nov'08 which was not done by me. The merchant shown on the statement was TATA INDICOM PAYMENT MUMBAI. I reported the dispute with the ABN's customer care, they sent me a form and was said to send the filled up form back. I did the same. I called up several times after that but they told me that the issue is under investigation. I called few days back again and I was told that the transaction was an internet transaction and used my CVV number so I a liable to pay the amount.
I was deciding what to do next, I received my February's statement and surprinsingly there is again a similar transaction(same merchant) and this time the amount is Rs.3000.
I have sent 4th level escallation (as per the bank's site) emails about my issues and seeking for waiving off the disputed amount, but I got the reply that I need to make the payment, and suggested me as per the following statement:
"Under these circumstances the Bank would not be able to raise a charge dispute for the transactions and we would request you to raise the issue with the site/ merchant directly. "

I do not know how to raise the issue or also please suggest me some way to handle the issue.


Here are the two transaction in details and I restate that I did not have made the transactions:

ABN AMRO — activated Insurance policy without confirmation

Dear Sir/madam,
I Mr. Zubair Ahmad Salmani have credit card No. [protected] given by ABN Amro bank. When I have applied for the card that time this card was life time free and without any annual fee charge only on condition that i will have to use it within three month. So i had used it in the third month after receiving it and that amount before due date. Later on i have got a call from ABN Amro bank for Reliance Insurance Policy. isaid that your policyis very good but dont activate it till i will say. They had charged me for one more Offer for which i have not applied for that is 3 night and 2 day holiday offer charge.
I have contacted so many times to ABN Amro Bank to reversal all of the charges for which i have not applied. Even i have said that if you have any proof of application or request for that Policy and Holday package offer for which applied by me, come and show it to me i will pay all the charges.

On saturday again i have got a call from delhi regarding the payment of Reliance Health Policy which i had never applied. He was saying that if i will not make the payment than they will put my name on fraud list or contact to ABN Amro bank and cancel all the amount make it to zero.

I am requesting you to please check my whole transaction from begining on my card. If you will check it than you will come to know that these charges are because of Reliance Health Policy.

Regarding this health policy, when i have got call from delhi to take this policy I clearly said that your policy is very good but don't activate it until i say ( Jab tak main na kahun activate mat karna). This discussion was recorded in your system. kindly check it and than come to me. If you will get the proof that i have applied for this policy than i am ready pay whole amount. But if not than please dont call me and clear my bill.

If you want me to pay that amount than please come up with proof then i will pay.Don't harras me. pleae don' call and dont put my name in ban customers list. Dont directly go to court before checking any proof.

ABN AMRO — Late Fee reversal

Dear Sir,
I have a saving account as well a credit card of ABN Amro bank. I use to pay credit card bill through the ABN Amro saving account. Payment date of credit card is 3rd of every month. I transferred minimum amount to ABN Amro account by HDFC Account on 27th Feb. which was not credited By ABN Amro due to some internal Problem till 12th March. I complained them then my account got credited the amount. In between the payment date of credit card has been passed and the put a late payment fee of 650 rs. I talked to ABN Amro they are saying that they can do nothing.
Sir, they hold my money for around 20 days for nothing after that they fine me late fee charges. And now they are not reversing the charges.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Payment not reflecting

Hi

I have been using your credit your card for quite long and been paying the amount monthly until the month of Feb when I came to know even if I had the amount of 2200 for the month of Feb its not been reflecting in your account …

I started getting numerous call where in I had been saying that I had paid the amount through your agency who had come down to my office in sharda center to collect the money. I guess the worst part from my side was I had paid the amount through cash and I have misplaced the receipt for the same … But I had got a conformation sms from ABN AMRO saying that “ we confirm receipt of Rs 2, 200.00 as payment for your ABN AMRO Bank Credit card – ABN AMRO – www.abnamro.co.in “

I had also forwarded the sms to one of your customer care ppl who called me up from Delhi and alter he said its been updated in the system but I can only view the same when I get my next bill.
Later on 28/02 at 09:07am I had received a call from delhi office [ Number : [protected]], sorry I couldn’t recollect his name but if you can trace what he said was that payment is already received and I need to pay the an amount of 3000, if I recollect for the month of March … I had asked him also I need a prove of the same as I by that time I was really bugged up with the calls I was getting from the bank …he said it will come in my next statement but I had received the statement wherein I don’t find anything mentioning of the same but I find a late fee and other charges instead.

I again got a call on 01.03.2009 from the number [protected] at around 11:13am asking that they have not received the payment …. I really don’t understand why there is a contradict of the statement …

I just want to resolve the following issues …
1. The payment of 2200 which I had done also received a payment confirmation on the same in my mobile number – [protected] dated 03/02/2009 .
2. Misguiding from the call and the harrasement I had faced all this days ..
3. I had been paying the amount right on time before the due date after this incident I had gone back and checked all my previous statement even if I had paid the agency right on time it was given in the statement after 10 – 12 days …and you have put late charges on all the occasions…

I have dropped a mail to customer care service but i have not received any reply from them yet ...

ABN AMRO — regarding the debarring my account without the prior information.

My number has been debarred without my information even though i have made the payment at the right time.This made me to huge money loss without my phone usage.An it took 24 hours to get resolved.It has not been givern propert information by the persons in the customer care.I am filling this complaint with a high imporatance.

Recently i had taken a case M/s.Fittness one india Ltd., for Business loan to Abn Amro Bank, usally i ll give all files based on referral scheme to mr.sivaraman who is working in Abn amro bank as a Team Leader. I am also met mr. Arunkumar (Unit Manager) and Mr.Thiyagarajan( Sales Manager) they are assure to give payout of this case 2% of full amount. So, i gave all documents and disbursed loan amount of Rs.3000000/- (30 lakhs) to M/s.Fittness One India Ltd., (LOAN A/C NO:9497973) on 30/03/2009.

I am a 52 yrs old man, i am a free lancer, i am not working any concern, i am in being this field past 10 years and my family members, i have 2 children and my wife. first daughter just finished 10th standard. second son is studying 9th standard. in this circumstance, my first daughter is going to 11th standard so, i should pay for admission and school materials and my son also. just imagine how can possible without money, i am a lower middle class person, iam waiting so expectation for this payout. Based on this amount Rs.60000/- i borrowed some money from some people. but still date i am not received any small amount from your guys.

Last one month mentaly i am disappointed, because of your guys. i asked Mr.Sivaraman, he said, he is also not get salary last 2 months. i am so suffered from your bank employees. i met so many times alongwith my wife mr. Thiyagarajan, he is promising this day, that day but, we were so suffered, he is continuously lies. i sent alot of sms to Mr.Thiyagarajan, he replied but he never do any steps still date, i kept his sms in my mobile what he sent sms to me, and he said Mr. Ajith Veda( Regional Sales Manager) not approve your payout, he blames Ajith Veda, i sent alot of sms to Mr.Ajith veda, he is no response, Sir/madam, i couldnt tell my situation i am so critical position. onething in ur mind, i am not a begger, i am not asking begging. i am asking my money thatsall.

I hope you do favour to me, i expect one or two days, my problem will slove. otherwise If any happens to me bank will bear to the all. (I think, dont to spoil your bank name who are 2 guys cheating me.(Mr.Thiyagarajan& mr.AjithVeda)

ABN Amro bank debit & credit card — Used up all my money in debit card

Hi,

I had savings account in ABN Amro bank for almost 2 years with a minimum balance of 10k. Even though I didnt need any credit card, they offered me a life time free credit card and after 6 months charged money from my savings account. My balance was around 12k 3 yrs back, from last 1 year it has become 0 and despite complaining, calling multiple times, they have not resolved the problem. What can I do for this?
