Action Balaji Hospital, Paschim Vihar — Deficient Medical Services

I would like to highlight poor & unreliable medical services of our capital New Delhi. I had taken my mother to Action Balaji Hospital, Paschim Vihar, a reputed hospital in West Delhi with all modern facilities, on having some complication a couple of months back. She had a bout of blood oozing out along with cough. On arrival she was immediately admitted in ICU of the hospital though at that time she had gone there on her foot & fully conscious with no other problem. After about eight hours & another bout of same complication as above ocurred and the doctors at the ICU put her in ventilator & sedation. For next two days she was kept in same condition. In the meantime I had to sign a No. o[censored]ndertakings so that the hospital and doctors be safe in any eventuality & I was told that they could not diagnose the disease in spite of several tests conducted on her. After 48 hrs she was taken out of ventilator & sedation. In another 24 hours she completely came out of sedation & again became quite normal talking to me when I went to meet her. During the above period the doctor told me that her pulse & BP was quite normal with little fluctuation though they did not allow me to see her case paper. After nearly six hour suddenly I was told that she had another bout of above mentioned complication and she had expired of that.
In the above sequence of event it is amply clear that she had died of not getting any treatment as even after three days the doctors could not diagnose a cause for the complication she was suffering from. During my short stay at the hospital I saw quite a few people died at the hospital. I was also had bad experience about doctor in terms of relationship also. The doctor was quite rude and repulsive in nature though nowadays so many training & seminars are held for improving doctor-patient relationship. The big Pvt hospitals in Delhi has only become business houses with doctors their salesman. Is there a son who lost his mother due to deficient service can do anything against the hospital.

Yes, i completely agree with you, Balaji Action hospital is a useless and hopeless hospital. They have builed a huge building but the staff is not less than devil in handling patients, specially people who handle medical insurance for the patient visited. My wife has delivered baby at the hospital on Holi - festival, there was not sufficient staff to handle things in the hospital, it is a life saving place without having proper manpower, wht will you do at the time of complications. Dont ever go to this hospital if you want treatment on your insurance - cashless, they dont get approval and also send the case to TPA as you have to pay mostly from your pocket only. They dont bother to send papers to TPA, and ask you to pay from your pocket and get reimbursed later even if your papers are in process. The hospital is having only one fax machine for receiving approvals, that is also useless, employees of the hospital dont know the room of CMO if you ask them to do a complaint. Atlast please please not go to this hospital...

THIS PARTICULAR HOSPITAL IN QUESTION RAISED THE HOPES OF LOCAL RESIDENTS WHEN IT WAS COMING UP...THE SERVICES HOWEVER ARE FAR FAR FROM BEING SATISFACTORY. AND IN THIS CASE IT IS EVEN MORE SCARY AND DANGEROUS AS HOSPITALS ARE PLACES WHICH ARE MEANT TO BE LIFE SAVING INSTITUTIONS...THEY HOWEVER ARE FAR REMOVED FROM IT ...NOT ONLY DOES ONE LOSE OUT ON PRECIOUS LIFE...THE COMPLETE SPIRIT OF THE PATIENT AND THE FAMILY OF THE PATIENT IS PUT TO TEST ! IT IS TRULY PATHETIC!

I very much agree with all said above for this hospital cum hotel . they only attract patients only by outer exposure but actually there is a grave yard inside it for every patient . there is no difference between a hospital and a hotel, both are interested to make money by any means . i lost my beloved mother in the age of just 42 years due to carelessness of illiterate bihari doctors . here i dont want to expose about all those bad days which puts me at backfoot. Only in simple words i want to share that my mother which was healthier than me having only little fever get admission in ward first day, second day in ICU, third day on ventilater, and fourth day in grave yard . From dwarka to balaji about 15 km, she ride with me on bike not by ambulance, was continously chating with me as normally she does, who chooses stairs despite lift is now no more with me . NOw listen docors statement, " her liver is failed, kidney is failed, there is water in her chest, she is having septisemia, and at last but not the least she is having breathing problem so she is on ventilater " these are some different statements on different days by illiterate doctor named as " SEHERA " (contact no.[protected]. NOW U CAN GET CONCLUSION YOUR SELF ABOUT THIS HOSPITAL . It is very hard to believe that my mom is passed away in just four days .

If any one is planning to diagonis his / her disease in this WORST CLASS HOSPITAL, so please take a U turn, otherwise u are going to listen abusive words from doctor ( jallad) ang going to kill urself. Here the infrastructure is very attractive but the doctor are well trained butcher which have no feeling towards patient, here they provide all facilites for the attendent of the patient but no care for patient specilly in ICU which is more needy . Here jallad visted only once in 24 hours to cure patient which is in ICU. they say we will stop medicine i[censored] not deposit fee on time, i.e. i[censored] are one hour late to deposit fee they will delay medicine by one hour to patient said by fee attendent MISS/MRS. KAJAL . my beloved mother takes her last breath due to carelessness o[censored]ntrained DR. shera in medical ICU. U people must believe that my mom was 98% stable at home, her BP, HEART PULSE RATE, RESPIRATORY SYSTEM WAS perfectly smooth. i cant believe this that my mom which was pillon rider on my bike from DWARKA to BALAJI 14 km. from my house, for treatment, which was laughing and chatting in that whole journey is passed away in just three days . initally she was problem of vomiting before departing from house, to diagonis this problem she headed to BALAJI ACTION HOSPITL paschim vihar, doctors put her one day in ward, and next two days in ICU on ventilator, where she takes her last breath. IN these three day they were unable to know the exact problem of my mom . whenever i asked about problem they have different versions of answers only they were busy to chck different type of report.and test...And atlast they say she have multiorgans failure . Her BP, PULSE RATE, RESPIRATORY WAS OUT OF ORDER DUE TO THEIR CARELESSNESS ONE MONOPOLY OF ADMIN. IS TO HIRING OF SOUTH INDIAN NURSES SO THAT ATTENDENT IS UNABLE TO TALK WITH THEM AND THEY CAN EASILY CHAT WTH EACH OTHER...THUS THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOTEL AND HOSPITAL, BOTH ARE INTERESTED TO MAKE MONEY. BOTH ARE ASKED WHICH TYPE OF ROOM U WANT, BOTH HAVE FACILITES OF EATABLES, BOTH HAVE LUXURY INFRASTUCTURE TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS.
MY ADVISE ALWAY CARE YOUR PATIENT YOUR OWN, NO NURSE, NO DOCTOR IS INTERESTED IN PATIENT.

i totally agree with everyone here. i am sure there would be more sufferer than us who could not reach here because of limited internet access. my father expired last month who was a healthy from last 40 yrs with complain of fever and vomiting. the doctors were irresponsible for 1 day and when they tried to intervene they moved him to ICU. my father kept on telling us that he is not getting proper treatment but we thought he is not liking been in hospital. in 3 days he passed away and we could not do anything. we lost everything. i wished i could listen to him. they suggested dialysis and i dont know what went wrong thy put him on ventilator later and dint disclose his condition to us until my father senior and other police staff came as my father was a police inspector and threatened the doctors. i wish these doctors and staff should suffer and have the same pain that me and my family is going across right now. my parents were set examples of true love for each other and now i just see her without him kill me.

I have had the similar experience with this hospital - negligence, incompetence, unprofessional attitude, rude doctors and staff, commercialism, lack of proper briefing to patient's attendants. It is better to avoid going to this hospital.
