[Resolved]  Adith Multilingual — Non-payment

This company was not paying well to their project takers, simply avoiding or they will ask us to work whole project and not pay the money. For me I am a tamil translator, They called me set a dead-line, I set one dead line to them, before the deadline they insist to gimme the project, after a week I asked them about the money they simply said that the project was rejected, they doesn't paid about 13, 000 Rs. Not only for me they deceived lots of translators in this deed.

Be careful before working for this translation company.

Yes this company called Adith Multilingual is a non payer . They did not pay me for the translation I did for them from Hungarian to English. Its already 2months .
And almost 7000 US $ later... it is a sad story indeed.
Even me, a native of the UK can not understand how I fell for those empty promises. Yes, this fraudulent company is a rip off. That is for shure.
Dear all,

I agree your comments. Adit Malti Lingual is no doubt is deceiving translators. I have recently done some translation works for Adit Malti lingual and the payment was not made yet although I have fullfilled all the term and conditions specified by Adit Malti Lingual. Jagdish is very good in doing fraud.

Please be aware of these criminals who are looting people in a sweet way..
I would like to discourage translators from working with Adith Multilingual Pvt.Ltd. in Bangalore, India as the company proved to be unprofessional in their way of dealing with payment for the completed projects. Leaving mails unanswered and hanging up on translators calling to ask about their delayed payment is a common practise of employees and managemet of Adith Multilingual in Bangalore. Evading telling the truth and postponing already postponed date of payment is what you will have to deal with while working for Adith Multilingual.

To give you some facts - in one month I called them 20 times. This means calling nearly every working day and it means time and money. I sent many mails, also the the managing director, but I didn't receive any answers fomn her. I was never connected to Accounts to to the Managing Director when I requested to speak to her.I spent about 5 months calling incessantly, listening to lies and fearing that I may not receive the money that I had well earned. In the meantime online I found other translators who told me this is common practise for Adith Multilingual. Needless to say the experience left me bitter and now I am twice as much careful before accepting any translation work from anybody.

And they still had the cheek of mailing and calling me in order to give me more projects. That means the quality was good, doesn't it? I know it was. I take my work seriously and want to work with people who do the same.

Luckily, there is not many agencies like Adith Multilingual.
Hi Friends,

I was contacted by this agency about one year ago. I had learned that they were blacklisted in so many forums and websites and one of my friend also had bitter experience, I said NO to their project.

Since they are blacklisted and more and more translators are aware of this, they seem to have running few bogus agencies.

I am not 100% sure about this, but be careful while working with Park Translations and LS Translations from Banglore.

Thanks.
Hi There

I have translated more than 200 000 words for Adithmultilingual up to date. The last project I completed from my hospital bed as Geetha begged me to help because they had no other choice. She and her manager both promised me that I would be paid at the end of September (almost 2 months after my first invoice was due). After these promises and not receiving my payment I continued to work as I believed that I would be paid. Finally after my doctor told me that I was not allowed to work any longer I told Geetha politely that I would not be able to do any work for now.

I have not heard anything from Geetha or Sumana for 3 weeks now, even after I told them many times that I would post them. They can not now say that my work was not up to standard or there was a problem with quality as this was never mentioned and they continued to offer me work until I finally refused. Adithmultilingual owes me a substantial amount of money and I have not received one cent. My assistant no longer works for me as I have not been able to pay her anything either and I have nothing to show for the months that I worked for a seriously low rate under extreme deadlines.

Is there anyone who has ever received payment from them???

I have been asked to do a lot of translations for them in a project lasted a couple of months from Summer 2008 from English to Italian.
I haven't seen any money and I have written them many times, most of which I didn't even received any answers. Do NOT trust them.
Hi To all translators,

As you have all noticed that many translators have received payment from our company but still are posting negative comments about us. Some of the translators have fake names, we have never worked with them especially Superbee, Verner, Javed Ahmed, SD, Ashish and so on who are trying to spoil our company's name.
Be careful with these fake peolple, company is already taken this to cyber court. Their details will be traced and the propoer action will be taken for misusing the Information technology.
Infact they have lack of knowledge about this legal system and that is why they are creating the false statement.
Translators who received the payment creating their own stories for the delay payment which is highly unprofessional.
Warning for agencies : Be careful of these translators before assigning the work. One side they take their own sweet time to complete the job and other side they create stories for delay payment.

Regards,
Sumana
Attention to Agencies,

Be careful working with Jonathan Justus (English to Tamil and vice versa translator) first of all he does not even know what is translation. He will give it to you a machine translation and ask for the payment and go to Public Forum and post negative comments about us and black mail and try to extract the money. Infact in this forum itself is so clear that he has no other job and that is why he is creaing stories.
We prefer to suggest Jonathan Justus to find a suitable job for your profile rather than doing a wrong job and blackmailing us.
We are trying to take this case to all agencies along with this wrong translation document.
Infact we have fired him and we will never work with him again. So be careful.

Regards,
Sumana
To Swedish gentleman / lady,

Let us know when you have worked with us. Give us your name atleast to understand who are you.
Rather than giving us fake stories. We know due to professional jealosy you are creating ths story.

Warning for agencies:
This is another fake translator. He/ she has never worked with them. There is no name and gender to understand who the person is.
We are trying to locate this person's details to cyber court.

Regards,
Sumana
Dear Collegues

I just came about your complains and STRONGLY disagree!

I do a lot of translation work for AMSPL and did so for the last 4 years.

i ALWAYS have been paid on time! After reading this blog i contacted AMSPL personally and asked them what is going on.

They explained me that there are aware of this problem and that some disgruntled ex-employees, who founded their own company try to distroy their reputation to get more business for themselves.

Also did they place a complain with the Indian cyber-police who are currently working on the case.

i just can say for myself, but this practice of trying to destroy a company's reputation, based on no facts whatsoever is highly un-professional, not to say illegal!
Adith Multilingual are a bunch of shameless crooks.
DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE.
They will NOT pay you for your services. They will string you along for months with ridiculous requests or excuses, or simply stop answering your mails.
I got a mail from them today in which they astoundingly blame their clients for not paying them and that is why 'they haven't been paying translators'.
Not only shifting their responsibility from the unpaid for service, but also slandering the reputation of their own clients.
DISGRACEFUL PARASITES.
Awful for INDIA'S commercial image, they have to be penalized.
This company is BLACKLISTED in all reputable translation sites for consistent non payment.
On their latest mail to me, they blame their clients for not paying them.
Shifting the responsibility from themselves and slandering someone else's reputation (clients, translators) is their strategy to get away with it.
They operate by constantly getting new unsuspecting people to work for them for a month or two, until they finally want to be paid and then discard them and find someone else for a while.
NOT TO BE TRUSTED
Dear All,

I just came about your complains and STRONGLY agree! I wonder how Sumana is answering to this session, but there were no reply when I tried to contact her thro' mail????? After submitting all the invoice papers in denomination sheets and mailing them by post, now they are asking to send those from notary sign in each paper and sending a a soft copy. They promised me to pay the money after 45 days of completing the work and now it is gonna be 8 months, I think according to their calender, a month for us is a day to them!!! This company is going to be sued very soon that is for sure.
I totally agree. I did 2 jobs back in July and August and still haven't been paid. They'll come up with all sorts of excuses. When I took on the job I only had to fill in an NDA which I did. When it came to them paying me they suddenly decided I needed a "NOTARY SEAL" which I had to pay for (£40!!!). This was supposed to have held up my payment. That was another lie unfortunately because next I was told the client hadn't paid them yet (even though the work was aproved!!). Now the client not paying them is not my problem. My contract is with Adith, not their client. I have held up my end of the bargain, they haven't held up theirs on many occasions even after promissing many times to pay on a certain days or even give payment details. I have been emailing them at least 5 times a day and I intend to up this tenfold untill I do get paid. I will NOT give up which is what they expect all o[censored]s to do. They hope to get away with it. I genuinly believed Adith was a respectable company to work for but after all the lies and (useless) promisses I'm beginning to believe this is one big con (maybe even call it a SCAM). I gave them a deadline (after which I intend to take legal action and leave negative feedback) which they completely ignored. I'm sure I'm gonna get some useless excuse in about 3 weeks or so. Even if they decide to pay up eventually this is still a BIG MONEY MAKING SCHEME because don't forget that all the time they have my money (and all those translators' money) they can keep it in the bank and draw INTEREST. Quite clever when you think about it: a scam inside a scam.
Well let's see what the next email is going to be because I will never give up especially having done 2 jobs for them and it COSTING me £40!!!

Adith Multilingual — NON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT

I was contacted by Jagadish from Adith Multilingual to write articles for them. I was assigned the job of writing articles from June 10, 2009. They were very clear about the terms of payment and the deadline for writing the articles. In fact they even extended the deadline by a day if I was not able to complete the assignment. I wrote a total of 28 articles comprising of mainly 400 - 600 words. All the articles were duly completed by June 23, 2009, upon which the company sent me a P.O. on the same day for 28 articles wherein a payment of Rs.3,997.90 was detailed.

Thereafter I waited for many days to have details on my payment. Finally on July 2, 2009, I sent an email to Selvi with whom I had corresponded for the assignment, questioning about the payment. The reply came on July 11, 2009 stating that payment will be made once the articles were approved by their clients and I am asked to raise an invoice.

Please note that nowhere in their previous correspondence i.e. when writing the articles had they mentioned the fact that the articles would be approved by their clients. They had only mentioned that the payment will be made within 30 days of raising an invoice. The P.O. was sent by them on June 23, 2009 on completion of the assignment. So there was no way I would have known the facts before I started on my assignment.

However after much follow up I was informed on August 7, 2009 that only 10 articles were accepted from the 28 articles written by me and a invoice should be raised for only 10 articles for which I would be paid only Rs.1,500.00. I still raised an invoice of 28 articles as I had spent time and effort on writing the articles and wanted to be paid for the full effort. But they did not agree to it and finally on August 22, 2009 I raised an invoice for 10 articles.

As per their terms they were to have made the payment within 30 days, so I should have received the payment by end of September 2009. But it has been 5 months since I have completed the work assignment and am still following up for my payment. They have been only been shirking me from one department to another and making false promises of making the payment. On so much delay I sent an email to the company asking for a late payment charges of Rs.500.00 alongwith my payment for the assignment. They have been absolutely silent on the matter and not even bothered to reply. They are in fact so shameless that they have not sent me the payment inspite of me sending them sarcastic emails.

I have many international clients who have sent me payment even before I inquire about the approval of the articles.I have never had to follow up twice with any of my clients before, but Adith Multilingual has surpassed all limits of my patience. It is indeed a shame that an Indian Company boasting of being one of the best in Asia is a cheat and they have not just cheated me but a number of other freelance writers. I was shocked to see so many complaints filed against them and people suffering at their hands.

Thankfully my earnings as a freelancer is not bread and butter for my family. But what about people who have made freelancing their profession and depend on its income. So for me it is no longer a question of money, but I do want the company to be punished for cheating people and causing them so much pain and anguish.

I hope that the Indian Consumer Complaints Forum will make note of my complaint and help me in getting not just my payment but also justice for me and other freelancers in my position.

Thanking you,

Armin Sodawaterwala
I agree with people who had troubles with Adith Multilingual. I have problems with them also. After I have finished the job for them, and waiting for 45 days, I've discovered they are blacklisted. Of course, they notified me to wait another 45 days and not answering me on my emails for last 10 days. I understand if someone has to be "clever" and convince me about number of days, signed NDA, seals etc., but that 's not the way to work. No one can be above the law and justice so I contacted a Debt Recovery Agency in India and they have an idea about this case. Their answer on my question tells me that there is something very wrong about this company and I'll finance it from my own sources if necessary.
I had the same probelm with that SO CALLED company. I carry on a translation project for them from English to Portuguese (what I believe was a translation project for SAP). I finineshed the project on the specified deadline. Howeve, they NEVER PAID ME! After calling them requesting my payment, the laid whom I was dealing with send me a FAKE bank deposit. So, if you are a translator and see any job post by Adith Multilingual [ www.adithmultilingual.com ] stay AWAY... They are a SCAM!!!
