I request if you can give me the contact details of the owner as I had very bad exoerience from them.My brand new car has been burnt in so called acident by these jokers and there is hardly claim they are entertaining.

Agarwal Packers And Movers — Damage of items and non corporations during shifting from Bangalore to Kolkata

I had engaged DRS-Agarwal packers and movers for my houshold shifting from Bangalore to Kolkata.
(Vide GC no 845067 dated 01.06.08 for the car and 845066 dated 02.06.08 for entire other household items)
I had following very bad experiences:

(a) On the day the container reached in Kolkata, my address, a team of in experienced and raw people sent for unpacking and organizing from the local kolkata office. Practically we had to work shoulder to shoulder with them to make it happen.

(b) The packing items (plastic and cardboard boxes) till date (i.e. 18.06.08, 11 days after unpacking) is lying in front of my flat in the apartment, blocking the lift passage, creating nuisance to other neighbours and putting in embarassing conditions. I had made atleast 30-40 calls to local calcutta office of DRS (Agarwal) and Bangalore office, but now given up. The apatrment maintenance people are insisting to throw them out asap. I do not understand these items which are to be reused, how company can behave in such non professional manner.


(c) Though I had given the car in very neat and clean conditions in Bangalore. In kolkata I was delivered the car 3 days behind promised date and in a very dirty, shabby condition. The seats have been totally made dirty and black greasy spots. This delivery has also been possible after my atleast 25-30 phone calls to Kolkata representative and Bangalore representative.

Best Movers Packers — Lost items and damage all the items

Hi,

I got transferred from Gurgaon to Bangalore. For moving house hold items i contacted Best Movers Packers. They said that items will reach Bangalore in 6 days. After 6 days when I asked for items they said it moved from there today only.

They keep on making me fool. Whenever I contacted them they say said it will reach you today and many times they switch off their mobiles.

Finally when my things arrived, my T.V. and some cloth packets where missing. Most of my things where damaged including A.C., Geyser, Bed, Almirah, Computer table.

I am very upset and don't know what to do?

I have insurance of 70 thousand by movers & packers.

Agarwal Packers And Movers — damage to car during transit and cheque bounce

Dear Sir,
i had sent my car from chandigarh to secunderabad through aggrawal packers an movers in dec 2007. The car was delivered to me in jan 2008 at secunderabad in a damaged condition. i brought this to the notice of the company and theeir surveyor assesed the damage and promised me a compensation of Rs 2500. But inspite of my repeated reminders and phone calls on which i spent considerable amount and energy, company failed to give me compensation for full 1 year. This year in march they sent a cheque for Rs 2500 of HDFC bank, which when i deposited to the bank bounced. Thos act of the company has resulted in great harrasment and mental stress and financial loss to me.Now i want to claim damages from the company for my harrasment and bouncing of the cheque. I want to claim damages for Rs 50000 for all this. Pl advice

Personal Belongings — Damaged and broken goods

I had sent my cargo from India(chennai) to vietnam(HCMC) through DHL, AWB No.[protected], it was said it will be delivered Door to Door and they convinvced me in paying extra amount of money as Insurance for the cargo in Chennai (Anna Nagar), when i recieved it in Vietnam, the cargo was in the customs for more than 7 days, my package was opened, all these things i can assume and consider it as goverment legal isuues, but the cargo was left on the apartment lobby and we were asked to sign the receipt, since my wife and kid were alone and language was a problem, she had signed it, when she opened the cargo to carry things one by one she found most of our electornic items were broken, she immediately called up DHL india. they had told us to send a snapshot of the same as in position inside the pallette box, we also did the same now when we ask for a claim, we are just getting a response from them saying sorry... , i have elclosed only few snaps, still there are few snaps (musical keyboard) unnattached. i dont know how to go about this issue...

Agarwal Packers & Movers (DRS group) — Damages to household items while moving

I used the services of Agarwal Packers for Packing & moving my entirehousehold items from Pune to Bangalore.They have damaged a lot of items.Eventhough they have charged insurance premium against damages they are not resolving even after one month.

DRS AGARWAL PACKERS & MOVERS (P) LTD — VERY BAD QUALITY OF WORK

I shifted from Chennai to Faridabad and utilized Agarwal packers after considering their name.

Here are the lessons learnt

1) DONOT Pay in advance and neither give a post-dated check. Only after delivery verification and satisfaction of ALL items, make your payment.

2) Ask Agarwal packers to properly pay their packer staff and as staff ask for tips about 100 Rs. for each staff. Usually 4-5 staff memebers will come. If you ask them to come twice, they will ask tips twice.

3) Agarwal charges about 25% extra. You can definitely taken another decent packer and take pretty good insurance using this 25% money.

4) Agarwal will send a carpenter to survey and fix broken things. His fixing may not be up to your satisfaction but you will not have any other option.

5) At time of preparing packing slip and deciding insuarnce value, do not allocate any money for books, old used clots. Usually nothing happens to them. Put the value of actual cost for items like, TV, Refrigerator (MUST), AC (MUST), Water Filter, any ready made furniture which you bought from shop like Computer Table, Shoe rack.

6) Ask packers to clean the rooms properly at time of packing and unpacking before you hand-over the tips to them.

Agarwal Packers And Movers — Loss of goods and damages

To be very frank I am very ashamed of myself on why I choose Agarwal Packers for shifting when I had other choices. I am not new to moving but this is worst experience I have had with a so called PROFESSIONAL ISO certified company. Local vendors do much better and professional job.

My house hold items were handed over to Agarwal Packer’s team on 9th April 2011 for packing. GC number is 4164008. The items reached Delhi on 19th April 2011. Since they want to protect their interest first rather than customers and presumably they know how unprofessionally they work, they take rest of the money in cash before unloading. So all payments were cleared before unloading.

Now after paying the balance in cash people started throwing cartons out of truck and lift as if “lets dump and push off.. to hell with these guys and their luggage”. I had to remind multiple times that things are to be handled with care. Same is visible from the photographs and the condition of items which I have received. Following are the damages (of major items) and concerns I have. Its almost a month of delivery and no professional surveyor has come neither have I been compensated for the same.

1. Each and every box was so dirty as if they have been bathed in mud and dust. Fully packed boxes have loads of dust in it.
2. Steel trunk has got dent as well as hole!!! It seems that someone has either thrown the box instead of lifting or deliberately tried man-handled it. One of the latches is missing and chain to hold the lid has come out as if someone tried to open it. It’s not made of cheap material and has been with us in all our shifting again without a scratch while being moved with unprofessional & non-Agarwal packers.
3. Mattress which is hardly three months old has been torn.
4. Fridge, which was packed in a crate has got dents and scratches.
5. Scooter has got its seat torn. Front plastic portion is displaced and broken to the extent that one can see wires inside and front light can fall anytime. There are multiple scratches, damages and holes all-over the body. Center stand itself is broken. There is lot of mud in the handle. Photographs are attached for the same.
6. Many of the cartons were wide open and have items falling out from them. You can clearly see from pictures attached. I will only come to know what has fallen (or stolen) once I need to use them which may or may not happen in next few days also.
7. There are scratches on kids skate board which makes it very ugly. Even kids plastic stool which was in a carton is also broken.

After multiple reminders they had sent one gentleman who tried to mend few things like replacing broken mirror of dressing table but had made more damages to it. They are totally miserable. Multiple people (with in Agarwal packers) have given me phone number of their senior official (VP North) but there is no response. Neither is there any response on mail.

Mor eoever they charged me for a direct vehicle but they have not sent it in a dedicated vehicle.
What I request and expect now..
• Speedy and fast settlement at the earliest as per MY Satisfaction not as per their company centric policy
• I was told that this vehicle is Direct Vehicle and I paid for the same whereas I had received a quote for shared vehicle also from your company. However, it seems that it was only a marketing gimmick to get business and that’s all. I seriously doubt on kind & mode of vehicle. So ideally I am eligible for all refund but expect at least Rs9400, which is the difference in these two quotes apart from settlement.

I am sure that you will do the needful or at least help me reaching the right authority who can take right and favorable decisions.

Personal Belongings — Non receipt of consignment

This is a bull company.I have not received the consignment till 19/03/2012 which was couriered on 03/03/2012.what the [censored] is this??????????????????????????????

Is this the service which the M.D.always talks about????????????????????????????

I too had a similar situation.
The company lost goods worth 8K in transit. There is always a pattern. First they say, they are looking after lost goods and it will be found, then they say since there was no insurance they are not liable to pay any damages incurred and they they will simply dodge the calls and ignore the messages. The manager will always say that he has escalated this to his superiors and he is also awaiting their reply. I had to tell him that I will be force to sue him in the consumer court if I am not compensated adequately.
This is the just downright irresponsible and merits an action if the consumer is left in lurch and is not even offered the courtesy of hearing his grievances. 49k is not an small amount. Hopefully, Mr Amit gets compensation he deserves.
