i am ashish pandey i am using airtel sim fo last 5 year. airtel always cut my balance whenever i recharge. recently they dedudcted rs 150 from my account without any proper reason. i called to customer care but they didnt repond me. please help me .

Airtel Prepaid — airtel prepaid sim card not working since 15apr10

My mobile no-[protected] was converted from postpaid to prepaid on 12apr10,recharged with amount 222rs."phone restricted & enter restriction code"is showing on screen since 15apr10,though I have not applied any security code for my own convenience.mobile service is restricted without any prior intimation to me,Same handset is working well while inserting another simcard customer care executive service is also not connecting since 15apr10 after trying a lot by my another mobile no-[protected].

Now a days telecom opertors have changed * to *9 to downlaod callerune from others i have not even pressed * when i called my friend but they have activated th song and i have been charged 45 rs it is radiculous.

i have purchased a new number for 2n of may, nd next day 3rd may recharge of my new number for the amount of Rs/- 50..my recharge amt is 42.33 bt my some amount is deduct for some time and many of time...at the time my balance is 0.03 paisa nd i didn't any one of call and msgs...so plz tell whats the problem...nd i called the customer acre for artel bt they cant help me,nd asked me,plz wait some time...nd that time balance is around 24.50r,..
i am used many phone numbers like reliance and trump also bt they had no problem like this..many peoples are asked me,that Airtel is one of the best service provider in india,bt i think they all r wrong.bcz i have sufferde of this major problem....

Me too getting balance deduction problem with AirTel from last couple of week everyday twice or thrice my prepaid balance is getting deducted by Rs.0.30. Evenafter logging a complaint with AirTel CCE's were not sure against what column this amount is getting even today as on date I am facing the same problem but CCE's are unable to solve it.

However, they have started charging 50pise / 3 min to talking to their CCE's also so I left the thought of clearing this issue with AirTel and will be soon shifting to other service provider. And y'day a smart CCE said that it is happening due to your handset go to Nokia care and install a s/w of not to deduct the unnecessary balance. I laugh over him and cutdown the phone.

Airtel — Charging repeatedly for Hello -tune subscriptions

Dear Registrar,
I am using an Air-tel pre-paid connection : [protected] in Bangalore. The sim is registered under my
cousins name. I re-charged this sim card with Rs 150. on May 3rd.
Immediately on may 4th I recieved a msg that I have been subscribed to AirTel Hello Tunes and charged with 30/- month + 15/ for the Airtel jingle song download.
(This is the first time : though I had not needed or requested of them for any such service).
Now the wierd thing happens (I cant say anything lower): I am charged twice again Rs 45/- by repeatedly unsubscribing and re-subscription for the same above.
Hello -tunes ( in a span of 7 days). Today, at 14-May-2010, 12.00 hrs, my sim-card balance displayed: 0.65 paise. What kind of service is this?
I have been fleeced of Rs 45 * 3 times) = Rs 135 /- . I have hardly made any outgoing calls from the SIM.

How do I get justice and the fleeced Rs 135/- amount back from Airtel.

The Airtel mobile services are highly unsatisfactory.My phone no. is [protected]. And the service provider deducted my balance at least Rs.170/- when I checked my balance on 06/05/10. Which is highly objectionable.I had to call somewhere urgently but could not due to balance only 52 paise. I am hightly harrased and demand a compensation of Rs.1 lakh. Airtel — Balance Deduction Without any pre notice


My name is Rohit P Patil. I own an airtel prepaid sim card no. being +[protected]. I activated the 98rs gprs pack last month. After one month it has automatically got activated again and i didn't even get any message saying that it will be renewed after every validity period. They told me that if i had activated this service earlier by dialing a number then this service will be automatically renewed but this piece of information was not provided at the time of activation nor did i get any notification telling me that this service will be renewed at the end of validity period.
This is serious hidden information that the customer is not getting and is being robbed in heavy day light. The customer service executive says that the money can't be refunded! whereas my question still remains that how can they automatically deduct your money without telling you that they will be doing so....
Am fed up with this balance deduction issues with AIRTEL network.

Airtel — Balance not being Refunded even after one month - making money by Fraud

1.I had taken a prepaid mobile sim card from Airtel dealer (Firdous Communication) in Chopra Market, Udhampur on 21 Apr 2010. I submitted the documents and photographs to the dealer who checked them and after finding them in order issued the sim card to me. I was issued with mobile number [protected] vide sim number '[protected]F'. On 04 May 2010, I received a message on my mobile that the documents submitted by me are not in order and I need to submit the documents again in 24 hrs, otherwise the connection will be disconnected. No reason for rejection of documents was mentioned in the message. I contacted Airtel dealer in Chopra Market and Airtel Customer Care Centre, but they could not provide me any details as to why my documents were rejected. I was simply told to resubmit the documents.

2. I was in a state when 24 hrs notice had been given to me and I was not being informed about the reasons for rejection of documents so that I can rectified the mistake(s) and resubmit the documents. Finally after lot or persuasion, I was given the mobile number of Mr Rajender (Mobile number – [protected]). After I contacted Mr Rajender he gave me the details of rejection of documents but only by next day (by 1600hrs on 05 May 2010) – the clock of 24 hrs deadline already ticking. I tried to give him the reasons for the kind of documents I had submitted earlier but could not convince him.

3. It should be understood that preparation of such documents takes efforts and time. I prepared the documents and submitted them with the same dealer on 07 May 2010. By this time my connection had already been disconnected. The connection was reactivated on 19 May (after 12 days). However the balance amount was shown as zero, whereas I had about 346?- balance in my phone when it was disconnected.

4. I lodged a complaint with customer care on 20 May 2010 (complaint number - [protected]) Thereafter I contacted customer care five times, on 08 Jun (ref [protected]), 10 Jun (ref [protected]), 13 Jun (ref [protected]), 16 Jun (ref [protected]) and 17 Jun 2010. I also contacted Nodal Officer Sandeep (mob [protected] on 17 Jun 2010.

5. Whenever I have contacted customer care, I have been told that my money will be refunded in my account within 2/3 days as a complaint has been lodged with concerned dept, but after waiting for those given days, the amount never got refunded. In spite of informing the person at customer care desk that this procedure has been gon through number of times without any results, they stuck to same drill of lodging complaint in their computer and pending

6.Afte analysing I have realised that Airtel has found this innovative method of minting money, wherein the dealer accepts the documents, gives the sim card and Airtel later blocks it and reactivates at a later stage after fresh documents have been submitted - showing the balance as zero.

4. I have the following to submit:-

(a) When Airtel dealer had found my documents in order before giving me the sim card, why they have been rejected later, after two weeks?

(b) Why Airtel, while rejecting the documents after the payment for sim card and recharge has been made, is not offering to return the money already paid by the customer?

(c) Why a short notice of 24 hrs given to the customer to resubmit the documents without providing the details of the reasons of rejection of documents so that the mistakes can be rectified while resubmitting the documents?

5. I had posted projected my problem via email to 121@airtelindia.com, on 08 May 2010 AND 12 May 2010 and was given unique reference nos. as[protected] and[protected]. However, I have not heard from Airtel since then.

6. It is requested that my balance amount (Rs 346?-) be given back to me earliest or I should be told that it will not be refunded so that i can shift to some other more efficient service provider..

I am airtel prepaid customer, while going trough my balance found out that there had been deduction for service which i did not apply or used.I called the customer service immediately and asked them.they just said that i have downloaded a java game for which they cut Rs 50, when i told them that my mobile internet service is not support as it is a china make.Even if i try to connect it says connection failed.
I called them ,the executive on sensing the issue said he is transferring my line to his senior but this transfer of line never materializes and line is disconnected.I had called them repeatedly 5-6 time and the same thing happened,After when I tried calling the toll free consumer there was an automated messages asking to contact via sms.

This very annoying and disturbing.As they cheating in which we actually have no control and also no one to the customer service executive just make excuses and cancel the call.What does this mean ?

airtel/prepaid services — deduction of charges for news/unwanted promo messages from my account.

Deduction of charges for promo messages with out any OK/confirmation from self for my prepaid account.
My number was post paid and I converted to prepaid to escape out of the unneccssary billing charges.But, again the prepaid account is also deducted for no usage of mine.

the customer care cell is not willing to give the email ID of customer care cell and asking to visit the relation ship centre.

at this IT age and free India ,why not a penalty be levied for unwanted money deduction from the self account and also not giving a solution via customer care.

Airtel — Balance being ignored

My phone no. is [protected]. I still have a balance of Rs. 10 valid till May 23rd, 2012. But Airtel is not allowing me to call anyone and the message says that this is due to lack of balance. Please look into the matter as soon as possible.

Airtel — Balance Deduction of Rs 20 everyday since mid of march, 2010

My balance of rs 20 is getting deducted form my Airtel Prepaid no. [protected] since mid of march, 2010. I have complained many times to 121, 198, Nodal officer and have send lots of e mails regarding this, but my problem is not getting solved by them. Plz help !!

Airtel — Deduct extra money for Net Surfing


I had activated the daily rental 10 Rs per day internet(100 MB Max) on 17th July, 2010 in my mobile to connect through laptop. My mobile no is: [protected]
While I was surfing net, around 89 Rs were deducted from my account. So I called the customer care and told them about the situation. They told me that this problem would get resolve by 6:00 PM on 20th July. But neither I got any confirmation call from them nor my money back so I called them again on 20th July. Now they are telling that the deducted amount was correct because I surfed the net through 'Airtel Live'. I told them that I am damn sure that I have only accessed the net through my laptop and no one can access the internet from laptop/PC through 'Airtel Live'. Internet can only get connected through 'Mobile Office' from Laptop/PC. Additionaly the customer care guy was telling me that do whatever you want to do but we will not return your money back. So I told them that I will go to the consumer court and complaint against your organization.

Please look into this matter. The amount which got deducted is not too much but I want to learn them a lesson, so please help me.

Airtel — Set up Ringtone


My family member have two Airtel Prepaid connection with number [protected]( Prabha Papney, Wife) and [protected] (Prem Chand, Father). Unnecessarily Ring Tone has been set up in these two connections and deducted concern amount. No one ask us to set this Ring Tone . When we try to contact customer care by 121 it won't allow us to move forward to discuss with Customer care executive. We are using this number for official propose and we are getting warning from our Manager for these Ring Tone.

Could you please look into our problem and refund our deducted amount.
