Airtel Broadband — Billing and Shifting

I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!!

Airtel Broadband — Fraud agents collecting money for new broadband connection

Hi,

Couple of days back I sent an email to Airtel customer service requesting a new broadband connection. I gave my cell number for contact.

The next day i received a call from a customet service executive asking for my address. They also informed me the tech department will be in touch with me within 48 hours. But i received a call from an agent within 2 hrs. They asked me to make a payment of one month charges and modem cost. They even came to my office to collect the money. They said they will provide the connection that evening itself.

But no on turned up and their contact numbers are switched from next day on.

It looks like either the airtel customer care mail box is either hacked or someone internal is part of this fraud.

Its greatly appreciated if Airtel would look into this and stop such frauds in future
I do not think there is any improvement in the service. The same thing continues, me calling Airtel daily and getting the complaint number. At times they provide us a fake complaint number. Customer care executive are using the same sentence :
• “ Backend issue”
• “ Will be resolved as soon as possible”
• “Will get a call back from our backend team”
Inspite of writing to the NODAL department we didnot get any proper reply from them apart from an automated reply. In the month of August 2011, you can see how many complaints have been raised daily except Sunday. For one particular complaint number 2171962 given on 11.8.11 till now no solution is provided….

We do not know how long it will take for you guys to solve this issue. It is going to be one month. There was a period where internet was synonymous with Airtel for their services. And also cashback (Rs. 100 ) was credited in the monthly bill when the complaint was not attended within the mentioned timing. During that time the service was excellent. But now????????

Bill is being generated promptly without providing service. The customer is not treated properly. Today the Service and Customer care was very worst than a below average broadband service provider.

Our actual problem started on 5.8.11. Without resolving the issue the complaint number has been closed. Finally we insisted to maintain the same complaint number until the problem is solved. Example you can see on the same day (11.8.11 ) three complaint number was given.

Everytime the executive and also the team head will promise us telling “ you will get a call back from our backend “ but till date no one called us. Only we are giving call back for their irresponsible state. Usually Mr. Aravind will give the resolved timing as 6.30pm and Mr. Venkat as 5.00pm. Once I asked them why are you giving the fixed timing and from next time Mr.Aravind resolving time changed from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. As everyone knew no one will have followup after 8.30pm.

If I have used my telephone for telemarketing instead of calling Airtel people, I would have benefited for the number of calls made. Finally it just created mental tension and physical sickness. They are unable to solve an issue that kept pending for the past 15 days. A very very worst and unforgettable experience with AIRTEL.
I faced the same issue 2 days back, it was from a reliance number902581XXXX.Can u confirm if its the same? Did they provide u any bill?

Airtel Broadband — Reimbursement after cancelling the connection

Hello,

With the promise of installing the internet within 4 days ( according to the executive, port was already present in my apartment), I applied for an air tel broadband connection on May 2011.
As there was no action on this for a period of time, I requested for cancellation on 20th May through airtel customer care( the request number is[protected].
Whenever I tried to check the status of reimbursement, I was getting irresponsible responses like i didn't pick my cellphone whenever they called etc, again they will take another complaint. And there was a series of complaints opened ( the same response for all of them), the last one being 3223380.

Can you please help me on this issue?

Airtel Broadband — Broadband Shifting not happening even after months

My broadband connection is not getting shifted even months after putting the request. Sent mail to Nodal office and Appellate authority. No use. Nobody is even bothered to check with me the status . My bill is getting generated even though connection is deactivated for shifting. Only thing they check is bill payment. Atleast 10 people call to check that. Worst customer care.

Mar 26, 2011:
As I was going abroad and I wanted to put the connection on hold temporarily ,
so that I don¿t get charged during the time. But the person from Customer care

But later I came to know I can transfer it a different location without
cancelling . So I asked Surendra to transfer my connection to my friend in
IndiraNagar , Bangalore. But Surendra insisted on cancelling the connection ,
as I think he had offered this connection to some other customer ,if I cancel
it. But I insisted on the transfer . Few weeks passed , but still no news about

April 26 , 2011:
I started getting calls from Airtel payment collection dept asking me to pay
the bill for the period Mar 26- Apr 26, 2011. I said the transfer of the
connection is in progress and I will pay once the connection is active. I
contacted customer care multiple times regarding the transfer , but nothing
happened.

May 2011:
Contacted customer care again and finally someone was sent to the new address
to install the connection. But those technicians installed the physical line,
but couldn¿t activate the connection due to some problem.

June 2011
Later couple of other guys also came , but still they couldn¿t make it work.
I am repeatedly getting calls to pay the bill which is being generated even now
even though the connection is not active.

So now I have 2 requests.
1. I am back from my trip abroad and is now in Bangalore . So I want this
connection to be transferred to my new Address. Please do the needful.
2. I can pay for the bill for the period I used the connection . I need
a waive off for the time the connection was not transferred as it is a delay
from Airtel customer care.

I had used the connection till Mar 25. I can pay the bill generated for Feb 26
to Mar 26 ¿ 625 Rs. I can pay this amount.Any other amount is not my liability
as I had put the transfer request and this job was not done by customer care.
Also since the connection was not activated, no usage happened on that. You can
check the usage to verify this.Hence, I need a waiver for the remaining amount

Airtel Broadband — I Paid but didn't get services

Myself Harish Arora and transferred my airtel broadband no. [protected] from sector 21D to sector 29 Faridabad. I hardly get the services for not more than 10 days. whenever i complaint, it was been told that the sewerage line work in sector 29 is going on and the the line is been cut-off due to that and the same will be rectified shortly but it is not been rectified and ultimately i mailed that if it not been rectified then to disconnect the services, even though i paid 2 bills.But Airtel get started to generate bills.Here i want to demonstrate the correspondence i have made with Airtel regarding complaints.....

Airtel Broadband and Telephone Services — issue in billing with my Airtel telephone & broadband connection

I am using my land line no.[protected] since last more then 5 yrs. in this connection I am using a special retention plan of Rs. 449/-month along with Rs. 75/-P.M. for calls on 2 GSM numbers (Friend and Family nos). I was happily enjoying the services from Airtel till March 2011. but when I received the invoice for the month of Apr-11 they have also charged for friend & family calls along with top up of Rs. 75/-. in the month of May they have adjusted the same charges. but again from the month of June2011 I am regular getting bills with the charges on F & F calls. Now they have disconnected my internet connection.
In this regards, I have called so many times and sent underneath mails as well. but no one is ready to resolve the problem. every time when I speak to customer are they told, my request is in progress, will be short out as earliest possible. but that is still pending. I am regular getting calls to pay the amount but no one is ready to resolve my problem.

So, I request you to help me out in this regard. I will be highly obliged to you.

Airtel Broadband — Billing without connection

I was outside the country for past one year. My father was using the internet. This year in march he called customer care to change the plan to unlimited. the customer care called him back to inform that the plan has been migrated to Rs 1200 Unlimited. After a month he got a bill of Rs 4050 and when he called the customer care they said they will review the bill and will get back to him. But they never did.

In May the airtel wire which was connecting from the main board to our house was broken by a truck. My dad complained for the same several times and he was told that soon it would be repaired and connection will be put up again. since May to september nobody from airtel came to fix it. Last month an airtel representative came to collect the bill of Rs 7620 and my father told him the problem. He asked to pay the Rs 4050 and assured him that connection will be cut off and he wont have to pay any more bill. He got that confirmation from the customer care also. But today i got one more bill saying RS 9465.
I want to know how the bill is being made when the connection has not been stored since MAY.
I have called customer care several time from a non-airtel number since i don't have any other airtel connection. But i could not talk to any representative even after waiting for half an hour holding my phone.

Airtel Broadband — bad service and cansumer haressament

To start with , I had called airtel customer service to apply for broadband connections ,next day a executive arrives to check if it was feasible .he Confermes that it was on 11 /8/2011 then it took him 5 days to come and collect the papers which happened after numrus calls .finally a person comes on 17th to collect the papers on 17/8/2011 promising that the connection will be done in 3 days. After that i call all the sales guy and his boss for information on the same . this went on till 2/9/11 for them to tell us that the connections was not possible because all the slots in the connections were filled . till now we havent got our initial deposit back (13/9/11).
Problems - No decency to pick up the calls in Working hours. (ppl involved Sunil who atlest picked up calls some time but Prakesh his boss didnt pick any of our call till date .) only person who actually helped us was subramaini (who is technical guy) ,neither the sales guy nor there boss were either responsible or courtiers to pick our call or reply .

Please be aware of the this people for mental tourchers .

Airtel Broadband — Exaggerated Bill

Hi,
I am having airtel broadband, I have been making payment each month for the bill generated and it has never happened that I have not made a payment for the bill. This month however The bill that I got is twice the usual bill. I raised a complain for that on 15th of this month.
Today I got a call from the customer care and they said that I have not paid my last month bill so its that amount that is being shown. I told showed them in the online account that I have been making payment each month they suddenly how come the bill gets doubled this month, even though I have made a payment last month.

Airtel — Fraud agents collecting money

Hello, myself Balamurugan Jeyachandran from Padi area, chennai. I have recently faced with this fraud agents in the name of Airtel. A girl named Shylaja called me from a number mimicking as a Airtel customer care, gave me plan details of 799 with 1mbps unlimited with no deposit ax. I agreed for the plan and they sent one guy next day called Shiva ([protected]) came to my home and gave all details about the plan, connection, etc. He filled the form and gave an invoice bill (which is a fake I guess) for Rs.2199 with Wifi modem and 1 month advance rent. I gave all documents and then he disappeared. Right next day onward his mobile was switched off and no contact hereafter. I tried with Airtel customer care and fed up as they state they have not received such records yet. I applied to that guy on 15th sep 2011 and now it is 20th sept. I really am disappointed why Airtel is not taking action of such fake agents which cheat people and make bad intentions about Airtel?. because of such acts, customers are losing hope on Airtel and kind of scared. Please do not make such agents pop and make legal customers cry.I really need some explanation here...Friends of chennai please beware of such frauds....Thanks

Even though its beeen 24 hrs since I appealed to this forum yesterday my work still lies pending and un attended. This Sunil Chaubey character still remains in the same mode - giving rude answers, passing the buck to different teams, and ordering the customer to get the issue sorted out himself

Airtel Broadband — payment of bill regarding 01214030753 a/c no. 14211658

I have to bring to your kind notice that I submitted my bill of the
month June 2011 by a cheque no 550692 Bank of Baroda at airtel shop
garh road meerut near seven eleven on about 28 th June 2011. Money was
transferred from my account on dated 02.07.2011. For proof I am
attaching bank statement. But unfortunately my bill account has not
been updated yet. Kindly take necessary steps as soon as possible so that payment of current month can be
made.

Note: I have made several representation regarding this to concerned authorities but My complaint has not been resolved so far.

Its been 3 weeks, since I have raised a telephone shifting request with Airtel. There customer executive gave me a SLA of 3 days but it has been 3 weeks and my connection have still not shifted. I have written to 121 n number of times and the only answer i get is, your request is being treated on priority. Airtel has the most pathetic customer care service. They are not forthcoming in providing the correct information and making fool of a customer, Sept. is coming to an end and I am sure they will send me the bill for this month that too without providing any service.
