Airtel Broadband — Billing and Shifting

I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!!

My name is Moise.L Chennai I am writing to dis with great respect on the name nodal officer with hope that you will take immediate necessary action.i gave airtel broadband connection on on tuesday, oct 13 2009 and i thought airtel is very good in customer service and i will get connection in the evening of same day itself but now it is 8days ending even no single call from airtel broadband.Mr.Kandaiah, senior officer sales and another representative who accompanied with him and collected cheque immediately when i applied connection and went by priomising me that i will get connection on 13th oct itslef but when i called him his response was very irresponsible and in the way oof hurting customers. even as i am central Govt employee i will get lots of offers in BSNL Broadband through my office or U can check the offers given for Govt employees in BSNl but i dint care about money and gave airtel connection with hope but i learned a good lesson airtel is just name sake but useless in customer service from my own experience my application(enroll) number is 907170.i done a great mistake by giving cheque and my great mistake is i thought to go for airtel by not knowing about your worst customer serrvice please kindly refund my money immediately today evening itself i called to BSNL they will come and give me connection today itself.i will advice my friends also to never go airtel which is very very worst in service and your irresponsible employee name Mr.Kandaiah i never seen such a irresponsible sales offices who giving very worst replies lik today employees hoiday for all 8 days when everyday i called to him i really fed up up with his replies but when i registred in net HE CAME IMMEDIATELY to collect money in correct time.very cheapest behaviour i have never seen any of the good corporates or any other organisation anyway my goodness is before giving connection itself i came to know about worst customer service of airtel. plz refund my money immediately thats enough for me i am going for any other good network which provide good customer service and never for airtel in my life. kindly immediately refund my money.taking action on Mr.Kandaiah or not is up to you to save more customers.

My Airtel Broadband connection is in the name of "Divyank Shivhare" on telephone no.[protected] and my Account no. is 11601919
The current plan I'm using is 699 Combo which offers 256Kbps Unlimited broadband. The customer sales executive on 22-10-09 called me on my mobile no. viz. [protected] telling me about the plan 999 which offers speed of 512kbps unlimited. I agreed to take the plan, after 5 minutes another executive called me for the confirmation asking my DOB and name, which I told her.
A day later I called to check my status (on 121) The customer executive which picked up the phone gave the Ref No.[protected]. He told me that 999 plans offers speed of only 384Kbps, and my request was not forwarded. He told me to give written application for the upgrade.

Now I'm furious about following things

1. Why the customer executive misguided me?

2. Also the executive is misinformed about the plans given on your website" http://www.airtel.in/applications/leads/impatientones/experience/index.jsp?cid=194&pid=turbo1... "
3. And does a plan 999 exists offering 512Kbps speed?

Two things first

1. Am not someone working/canvassing for airtel, to put it aptly am also a disgruntled subscriber with Airtel Mobile services.
2. Am not supporting what airtel is doing.

If you read your agreement with airtel (at the time of signing up) there would be a fine print (in the smallest possible font) saying something to this effect "unlimited is assumed to be a specific limit governed by the fair usage policy" . The catch word here is the fair usage policy and it will differ from plan to plan and since you have opted for the unlimited plan its set at 4G. For other plans say a normal 256kpbs plan, the fair usage policy would be only about 500 mb or 1G max beyond which the data transfer would be charged.

To summarize, we can't do much except fretting and fuming over these service providers who continue to loot us until we go naked.

i asked for the shifting of the broadband from my old house to new house 2 months ago.
-since then shifting never happened but every month i recieve a bill.

I called the customer care 1000 of times almost every morning i stay with them like airtel is paying me for doing this. They always say that it will be shifted within 3 days and it is almost around 3 months now.

airtel this is what i have expected from bsnl not from airtel.

Airtel Broadband — Worst After Sales Service

I have been using airtel services from last 12 years and was really satisfied with the quality services airtel had, untill recently where i have been chasing airtel customer care dept from last 10 weeks to de-activate my braodband connection.
Somewhere in Mar-Apr 08, i installed an Airtel Broadband Connection .The details of the same are given as below:

In August i was transferred to Ahmedabad so requested your customer care-executive to discontinue my Broadband line.I was promised that my job will be done within a week but till date the problem has not been resolved.I kept on getting calls from ur customer care executives insisting not to discontinue the service or to take alternative plan & inspite of my refusal one of your lady caller activated new plan.Everytime i talk to ur executve a new Complaint no was offered to me with same promise to de-activate the service within a week.My landlord back in mohali has been getting montly bills from airtel and because of this he has impounded my veichle.Since i have changed my base i.e from Mohali to Ahmedabad required you to take necessary action against the defaulters and to de-activate my broadband service at earliest.

My 1st complaint with airtel was on 24th sep bearing comp no[protected]

i had also given a written application/E-mail to airtel -Mohali.

Kindly resolve this issue at the Earliest

i am having broadband line no[protected]..My line has been discontinued for non payment fo bill. Need to know ...my connection is on 6 motnths advance paymnent basis. How you can do this? i have alrredy paid 6 months in advance..if any dues are due ...you should send me the bill...

Airtel Broadband — Customers not respected at Airtel office

I had shifted my home on 04-10-09 and I gave shifting request letter to Chennai Broadway Airtel office on 05-10-09. I have given a written request to Mr. Amjath. He said that the new connection will be installed within 3 days. I visited back to Broadway Airtel office on[protected] to check the status of my connection but still my request has not been entered. Mr. Noorulla was there in the desk at that time. He searched for the letter I had given and he coolly responded that he has not yet entered my request. He had taken the request then and he said it will take another 3 more days to get the connection. When I ask for details he was not responding me properly and he didn’t even ask sorry for inconvenience. This is the 2 time I was facing problem with Mr. Noorulla. I had complained to nodal officer on the same day, he said that severe action will be taken against him (Just for name sake). Till now, I was not informed about that matter. Later I got the connection after eight days i.e., on 13-Oct evening. Due to the bad service from Airtel, I have decided to withdraw my Airtel connection.

Airtel Broadband — Partiality in Airtel

I had shifted my home on 04-10-09 and I gave shifting request letter to Chennai Broadway Airtel office on 05-10-09. I visited back to Broadway Airtel office on[protected] to check the status of my connection but still my request has not been entered. He had taken the request then and he said it will take another 3 more days to get the connection. Later I got the connection after eight days i.e., on 13-oct evening. I received the Airtel bill which is included with shifting charges. My friend didn’t pay for the shifting charges amount while he changes his connection and his number is[protected]. Airtel service cannot show partiality to their customers. If I am asked to pay for shifting charges, I am ready to disconnect Airtel connection. My contact number is [protected].

HFI — Airtel broadband

I have applied for a broadband connection with airtel some weeks back. They promised to provide the service in 1 week, but still 2 weeks passed I have not got the connection nor did anybody update me the reason for their delay. Finally I reached a team leader Mr. Dayhyanithi([protected]), he passed it on to Mr.Gopal([protected]). There is no proper response from anyone. I tried Mr. Wilfred ([protected])the person who promised the connection to happen in 1 week. There is no proper reply, every one of them said, we’ll call you back shortly. But there isn't call back. I am scared now to recommend Airtel to anyone. I feared BSNL, but now I am more scared of Airtel. Can anyone tell me why there is this delay or no customer care or inefficient employees working for airtel.

AIRTEL BROADBAND SERVICE — exhorbitant billing

I am a home user with limited hours utility. Suddenly last month bill was around Rs.2500/-. I made the payment. After 20 days one madam called and informed that the bill for November is around Rs.4000/- In another five days I got an SMS that the bill payable on 26 th November is Rs.6316/- which is not acceptable. I need airtel authorities to recast the bill. Other wise I will be surrendering the Broad band and object to the bill also.

A person called Rao, from an agency near navrang came and took check of 2400 Rs. for 3 months advance for a new airtel broadband connection. its been a month and i have'nt got any connection! i called him several times and he gives bloody excuses.

i take airtel broadband plan rs.555/- ., but after some wrong commitments due to some reasons i asked to please disconnect my no.[protected].i went to airtel office but they don't disconnect my no..finally after so much probelms i made a decission not to give your last outstanding.i.e.1800.but they raise the bill 2697.after 16 or 17 days i got phone from chandigarh to again start the connection by paying 1800 and change of plan.i had a wriiten letter of on eof your staff.that is ((all dues over after paying 1800)) only..from last month new plan is going good.i paid a new bill i.e 900 rs.after some days from airtel office continouesly from last 14 days i was getting a call to pay my previous balance.which is 897, , as cleared or adjusted according to your staff memebers as comitted and written reciept issued..the person who called me is ( Mr. Anil ) from chandigarh staff.his under staff is S.sarabjeet singh from ludhiana who collected the payment.
We are under 512kbps unlimited download plan & our downloading speed is very low. It takes more time to open a single page.We have called the customer care number but response is not up to our satisfactory.This problem has to be sorted out as soon as possible.

I had applied a airtel broadband connection on 19 nov 09, for which an executive came on same day and took Rs 1000 from us and gave us the form and receipt for the same. But after 7 days when nobody turned up for the setup of the connection i called many of your executive who asuured me that you povide the connection as soon as possible. but i am facing the same problem for a long time.
And your executiive Rajkumar (mob. no. [protected]) who collected my form is not taking the case seriously and also not responding me. He doesnt respond to my call also and doesnt pick my call.
