Airtel Broadband — Billing and Shifting

I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!!

Airtel Broadband — faulty billing, wrong guidance and irresponsible behaviour

I have a airtel broadband connection No.[protected] I found huge variations &y discrepencies in my billing for the months of june/july 2009. I contacted so many people at Airtel, at all levels to rectify the same, but in vain. The collecting staff also misguided me stating that it will be adjusted in the next bill, quoting some technical reasons for not being able to adjust the bill and made me make the payment with some minor concession. This process itself took my life out by way of innumerable phone calls at various levels and the irresponsible behaviour of airtel staff forced me to decide to disconnect my broad band connection itself and I also informed the same to them. All this happened in the month of July/August and till date no body has disconnected my broadband, but disabled access and simply forwarding monthly bills to me. I am totally agaonised with this and need some help to deal with this issue. I have subsequently also contacted people over phone but all in vain.

Airtel Broadband — NOT YET FITTED & NOT RETURNED THE MONEY

I applied for the airtel broadband on 26/Nov/2009 for my home. The person who receives charge of the application, confirmed me to give the connection with in four days and that and taken the cash of Rs. 500/- as a installation charges but even after couple of weeks i'm yet to get the connection.

Once after got the amount, the person haven't called me once and informed about the status. The person is not behaving professionally right after got the installation charge.

Airtel Broadband — Airtel Broadband is a Unreliable Service

To all the present and future Airtel customers,

This is my update for the previous complaint. Here is my true nightmarish story with Airtel broadband. Before this nightmare, I was a true and all time loyal customer to Airtel. I admired for their services and devotions towards the customers. But after this case Airtel lost my faith and trust, and I will never support Airtel again till my last breath.
1. On 11th November 2009, my one close friend gave me the contact number of an Airtel agent (Santhosh -[protected]). I contacted him to come and meet me in my room, and enquire whether it is possible to get connection in my area or not. He came at about 7.30 pm in the evening. He showed me all the plans and I selected for unlimited 1 mbps plan @1699 p/m. Finally I told him, that after my board exam I shall be taking the connection. I also requested him to come on 6-7th December with application form.
2. I decided not to go my hometown for winter vacation and spend time with internet. I rang Santhosh on 5th December to come with application form. He came and I submitted my required documents, and paid Rs. 1000 for installation charges. He even charged extra Rs. 100 as an excuse for rotary seal and legal proof (later I asked in Airtel office, they told me it is not necessary). After filling up the form and before leaving the room he assured me that I would be getting connection on either Monday or Tuesday (7th-8th December) by sending his technician.
3. Monday and Tuesday I waited continuously in my room by canceling trip even to Tirupati with my college mates. I called to the agent and asked when his technician would be coming. He replied that they will be coming at 6.00 pm in the evening. But no news ever since.
4. On Wednesday at 10.30 am I went to Airtel office, and showed the reference number to the executive. The lady executive called the agent and assured of getting connection on that evening. I waited till 6.30 pm. I must also say that while me and a friend readying to go Airtel office at 6.45 pm, my friend met a major accident with his bike. But later, I again went alone in Airtel office at 7 pm. And again the executive called the agent same as was in the morning. So no result.
5. Next day I waited till 12 noon, but no response. So when I was going Majestic in the bus one Airtel official called me for verification. Due to inconvenience the line got disconnected, and there was a misunderstanding between us. Later I tried calling him again, but he never received the call.
6. On Friday and Saturday was also no concern from their side.
7. In between I called Customer Service 3 times. I gave my reference number to them, and they told me it was already updated in their office and my name is registered. Most shocking was to hear when they informed me that there is no feasibility at this moment to get connection in my locality, and it will take 10-15 days to get connection. So why I was told to get connection within 4 days, and instead I could have left for my hometown.
8. I received a message from the Airtel Customer Service person Manoj Kumar Srivastava to give my contact details. I did accordingly but no any response yet.
9. Worst thing is that, the agent Santhosh is also not receiving my calls. That only means he cheated me.
10. Another worst thing is going to happen if they send me false bill next month even without getting connection yet. I enquired, and found many such cases are there for bill without connection. I cannot say now what I will do if my temper reaches 100%.

Now you can understand from these points how incompetent, careless, disqualified and disgusting is Airtel, by giving wrong information they are attracting the customers. Even their agents are also fraud. They are playing number games, and no concern with quality service. Now, I am planning to book my flight to go my hometown and enjoy my holidays. When I will be back in February, I will take the necessary steps to get back my Rs. 1000.

Airtel Broadband — pathetic and utterly abusive language used by sales executive and is not ready to return money.

This executive fron airtel visited my house on 19th dec 09 , we enquired about the broadband connectivity. He confidently said that our area is under their broadband service approach. He asked as to fill a form, we paid him Rs750 and he said he ll be providing us the service by 21st dec evening. but till 22nd evening there was no response from this person, i called him and he said, you are not in approachable area and very abusively said that go customers cant do anything about your money and used a very abusive language and asked me contact airtel for money.

First off he was not suppose to collect the money if the connectivity was not there, he provided us with wrong information collected money , put us in mental harrasment and refused to pay back along with that used very abusive language.
need not say again airtel customer support is of no use.

airtel is really a pathetic service providers and do not respond back to customers properly. if these type of executives they have we cant hope any good from them.
Even my phone is dead from the last three days and they giving fake assurances.
I'mnotat all happy with their services.

8 months back i booked a airtel connection and paid thousand rupees as advance. They said they will make the connection within this week end(7 days). i waited for one month, after that i make a call to the airtel showroom they wont pick the call. at last i went directly and reported the problem. but they carelessly

after this, around 8 to 10 times i went to the show room but not even they response properly.


atlast they issued a number from banglore (hot line number[protected] on 05/10/2009 time 7.14 pm i spoke with that concern person they collected my account number and gave the confirmation we will return back your cash on 13 october. but not yet received any phone call yet.

Airtel Broadband — Complaint about wrong billing

I have send the following email to Airtel many times to which I receive only automated email responses. Airtel Customer care is also not helpful. Please help me:-

Hello,

My name is Aniruddha Saxena. I am a customer of Airtel Broadband since December 2008. My number is [protected]. Account number 14441309. I am a regular user of Airtel Rs 649 per month rental plan.

In the month of October I shifted my residence from Flat 7, sector 14, Pocket 1, Dwarka, New delhi 110078. So I contacted Airtel customer care to cancel my connection so that I can reapply for the same when I reach my new residence.

The person I talked to told me that instead of cancellation, Airtel can put my connection on hold for one month at Rs 250 zero rental plan & there will be no charges of 1 month if there is no usage of broadband or telephone services & the zero rental plan will be automatically deactivated within one month from activation or if I reactivate my connection at new place, whichever is earlier.

I reconnected my connection ner about 26 November 2009 at Flat 649, Sector 14, Pocket 2, Dwarka, New Delhi, agreed to pay Rs 300 of reconnection charges. But now when I received my latest bill (17 nov 2009 to 16 dec 2009, bill number:[protected] I was charged Rs 2706.25 of DSL usage since my plan was not changed as it was told to me.

I contacted customer care but now they are saying that it does not change automatically, customer needs to inform us.

I don’t know weather the previous person whom I talked in October knew the process or not but I should not bear the burden of his ignorance.

I contacted in October to cancel my account as I was shifting, the ticket number for that is 849892, which airtel didn’t do but change my plan to Rs 250.

Airtel started my Rs 250 plan on 3 November 2009, Ticket number is 12377080.

I already requested to change my plan to the regular one of Rs 649 per month rental. Request number is 12441533.

Please help me as I have not done anything which Airtel didn’t told me to do & now I don’t want to pay for which I am not informed for.

Dear Concerned Desk,

We are having a PRI Line, Many mobile connections and internet connections from AIRTEL in our office in NCR region but each time when some request is tehre to be resolved unable to reach to the right account manager designated to us towards this phone no :[protected] & many mobile nos...

Kindly request top management to look in to this issue and instruct respective dept. to extend assistance to resolve this on immediate basis.

Note : From last 25 days i am chasing for this request and response is really pathetic!

Airtel Broadband — Shifting of connection A/C no. 15407766

My name is munish dua. I had given the request to shift my Broadband connection A/C no. 15407766,from delhi to karnal. Airtel customer care people had given me the timeline of Three days but inspite of regular follow up no action and even no callback has been arranged regarding the same from Airtel. its already been 8 days. you are requested to do the needful. its really a service default from the company side and they are giving same excuses every time. I am really disappointed with Airtel being a public limited company and even then offerring such problems to their customers.

Airtel Broadband — Airtel Bharti Unregionable Bill

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Dharmendra Kumar Gupta, I am user of Airtel Broadband(Phone No.46140489 and Account No.[protected] since last 6 months.
the main problem is ........the company sending me unregionable bill to us. I complained time to time in the Airtel costomer care, but there is no response found.

Airtel - Broadband Services — Deliberate Overbilling

My Bill has constantly been exaagrated by the company. Inspite of my few talks at customer Care.

No online information for DSL Usage is being provided to me. ( It was PROMISED to be given at the Time of Marketing the connection).

Frequent UNWANTED Calls Disturbing me from companies BILL COLLECTION cell
even before due date.
Hi I had applied for Airtel broadband in Bangalore on 2nd of feb (sef no 0024840). One person, Mr. Rafat from airtel came to my house and I gave him all the necessary documents along with the check of 2000 Rs/-.
Mr. Rafat gave me wrong information that the speed in home shop offer is 1 mbps which in fact is 256 kbps. The very next day their manager called me for verification and then the connection was canceled because I didn't want 256 kbps connection.
I again filled the form and gave them all the documents on 9th feb . NOw they are asking me to give the money again which I am not ready to give unless I get back the previous money. It would be kind of you if you return the money ASAP so that I can again give you the money for the new connection.

Hoping for a positive reply and action asap.
