Airtel Digital TV — Very bad service, inefficient customer care

I am just posting all the mails that went back and forth between me and Airtel.

Hi,

Please read the mail below. I am a Airtel Digital TV customer. The
subscribed package is the Value package which costs Rs 200. I
recharged my acciunt on March 26 with Rs 300/-. Moreover I am supposed
to get back Rs 250 as I have one Airtel Postpaid and Broadband
connection. So how come my connection has been cancelled? I want my
connection back by EOD today and also I will not count the days when
the service was not there. If any action is not taken then I will take
legal action. Also I am putting this mail chain in consumer forum.

Airtel — No Refund & Cheaters

I hav been waiting for along time for my refund for submitting my Airtel postpaid card. MY MOBILE which was closed is [protected]. At the time of closing the postpaid connection they said tht I will get the refund within 3months from submission but its over to 7 months & still I hav not get the refund amount.
I hav gone through the customer care executives & they are helpless to me then why they must be called as customer care executives as if they r not at all supportive.
I m sick of being asking them for my refund &think tht Hon. Judje must take some severe actions against these types of cases for being harrased by these companies. and make me compensate for this type of behaviour of the with me &many more like us.

This is really ridiculous. I have got one sms that my account has been
recharged but STILL THERE IS NO SERVICE.

Airtel Digital TV service is so bad and so worst.I never see this kind of customer service in my life.I trasfer the connection from Bangalore to Andhra.So I pay 600 for transfer and they remove the antenna from my home as promised and in a week time they are suppose to install the same in andhra.But the problem is they didnt made atleast a call regarding that.I try to contact the customer care at morning 6'o clock morning.When you call the customer care it will give you nice description about there promotional activity later it will ask you for language option, just like 1 for english, 2 for hindi bla..bla..bla

Then the story will start i select english and asking to enter customer ID which is 10 digits and after entering that the problem will start..No response(complete silence for hours) or the airten voice interact message will come continuously just like" We are happy to help you please be online" even if you stay 1 hour also nobody will address you.This happened practically to me so many times.I really fedup with airtel service and i requesting everybody to do not take Airtel digital TV connections please.
My father has purchased Airtel set box from Kenger Bangalore dealer in Dec 08, at that time peolple who are there at the center said with 2000 we will get south pack, & my father agreed & purchased the box.up to 6 month there was any problem on fine day in the month of June 09 suddenly they disconnected the connection, we we called to customer care they said as we are in south ultra we need recharge with 1500& we will get another 6 months free, after we were happy, but suddenly after 25th we got message stating that we need to recharge monthly 450 to continue the service, we shocked & went enquire kengeri dealer who reluctant, rutheleslly said we can go to coustmer court.fgrom 2 days our connection has been disconnected, Now we are filling in coustmer court.
Hence I request All people to aware about cheating by Airtel dont purchase the Airtel dish, worst service, cheating peolple

My name is Anuroop Rao .I have recently taken airtel digital tv connection on 26 July but i am not satisfied with its service and i think the time has arrived that i should withdraw this connection.Because of its poor signal and satellite connection I am unable to enjiy my services as per mentioned.Its signal quality is very low and has frequent disappearence of channels.This is my last complaint.After this I know what i have to do.
Airtel Digital tv is unable to satisfy its customers and it is providing very bad service as compared to tata sky and other dth services.Fed up with its poor signal and low quality service.I think the company has a major problem in its satellite and that is should stop its service for a while and pay more attention to its satellite related problem.
I really want to withdraw this service.Oh god ! I have done a blunder mistake by buying an airtel digital tv.

As a customer o[censored]r Airtel Digital TV, I want to inform u that on 25 Sept 2009, a local dealer at Modinagar, U.P., was installed a dish of Airtel Digital TV and at that time it was creating a problem related to video hanging.Several time, I logged a call to your customer care with the following complaints ID:[protected])1143184.
But sorry to say that as a very good hype in India, you provide a very poor service to us.Till the date no Engineer visited to see the problem.Not only this, your engg. gives false statement to your customer care coz last night when I call your customer care, he response that ur call for video hanging problem was solved by an Engg., but the truth is that no Engg. is visited till the date.

I also find customer care of Airtel digital as most inefficient and unfriendly. They dont respond to your queries but only automated acknowledgement is recd. I took a new connection and its subscription expired recently. As I wanted to take the plan of my choice, I requested them to provide complete details of plans available for renewal, which they dont. They just inform you details of one plan over phone, but dont send the details by mail. It seems I have to discontinue their subscription.

hello sir i have the digital tv..my setup box and remots are not working from 1 week
I fully endorse the views expressed by various customers. These fellows never give any information on the channels we are supposed to receive. They remove channels or add useless channels as they wish. They even change subscription packages without our consent. Their customer care service is mostly manned by people who cannot provide any sensible solution and only waste customer's time with useless talk.

Is there no regulator to whom we can take our complaints. The Consumer Redressl forums in most Tamil Nadu is mostly not functional.
