i have got this mail regarding non payment of airtel dues


the following is my grievance:

i vacated my house in October in rajendra nagar where i subscribed to the airtel broadband in mid october. i called 121 in mid october for cancellation of my service and was told that my request was being sent by the customer care executive. my phone number was [protected]. However i was at fault at not pursuing my request further as i thought the cancellation would be done. i moved out from delhi and now im in hyderabad since mid october. So my phone number and contact address has changed.

All of a sudden i have received this mail from the cureman threatening legal actions.I called the cureman named Amit in the attachment sent to me. He told me that repeated message was delivered to me via mail,post and telephonic calls very frequently. He was however not attentive to my grievance.
the following is my case
- the airtel due received is a whopping 4766
- Since october this mail was the only communication i received . Since obviously my phone number and address has changed i wudnt have responded to their calls.
- Why was my bill continued even after i didnt pay nor use for so many consecutive months.
- the cureman told me that even personnel were sent many times to the house. But did the information that i shifted that place not reach the airtel office. And even if it did not, the broadband billing for successive months was still continued.(monthly charge of approx-1100)
- on saying this the cureman told me that even repeated mails were sent to me regarding the same. But when i asked him to remail me the copy of those mails which he could not. This is the because this is the only communication i received via mail for the first time.
the fact was even after non payment and no response for a month, the bill was still continued for several months knowing well that i still didnt use the connection(since personnel were sent to the house enquiring abt me wudve known that i vacated), tells me that there was a attempt if not deliberate to inflate the dues bill and push the burden onto the consumer.

As a civil servant I do accept that i was at fault at not persuing my case for cancellation of service. This is the third airtel connection i had and was always satisfied with the quality of service or the customer care rendered.In fact, i have been planning to take another airtel connection in hyderabad. But i would ask the Airtel office to Kindly differentiate between a bonafide error and malafide intentions of the consumer. Also if you look at my timely and prompt payment over the years of the respective connection, you will understand that i have always been a sincere payer. Hence i would ask for atleast partial remission if not full of the fees .

i have faith that the airtel office would look into my case with due diligence.

AirTel — Telephone threats

Hi,
My wife was using airtel telephonic services few months back .Presently i am in USA . We received a huge bill in 2007 end with my wife's number written on it .We discussed with airtel department and informed them of erroneous bill.
We were told by airtel department to submit the exact bill which belongs to us and They sent a guy to collect the bills and got our sign as well for termination of the service .
We were told that our number has terminated now .
We did not get any call from airtel dept for long and now suddenly their recovery agents have started calling our parents, relatives and whatever the number we might have called in that period . They are threating us with dire consequances in case we do not pay the bill . Now i really dont understand why should i pay this bill which does not belong to me . can anyone suggest me what action i should take ? . Although bill is very meagre but i want to teach this department a lesson now .They keep doing this to all their honest customers quite often .

Airtel — Legal action against airtel

My problem was not solved since 4 months with airtel
I am the user of mobile no [protected] and I am paying every month bill, the connection is in the name of my company, I requested airtel to change the name to my name from company, they ask me to submit so many documents for new plan, new address and etc, I explained them that only the name has to be change remind the address and other plan will be the same as previous, then they ask me to submit the NOC from the company, I did, but they never change the name
when I check with them, again they ask me all the documents for address proof and etc, again I explained them that only the name has to be change,

Later on they inform me that they have changed the name and they given me the ref no for the same,
As per the ref no. the name has been changed, but it has not reflected on bill,
when i check with them they replied that It will be reflected from may month, but actually not,
again i talk to them and send them several mails, they said it will be re solved within 48 hrs, like this way I passed 4 months, Finally they ask me to provide the date of birth, new name required on bill, driving licence no ect. I did all, still it has not done,

like this way four months has gone, When I check with them now they are coming from the begining and asking the same documents what they asked four months,

I have been irritated by airtel a lots, I made around 80 calls to them and sent them so many mails, but no use, I have all the ref no, evidence about all the interaction had with them,

I had an Airtel No [protected] obtained in 2004 on premium as it matched my land line No[protected]. In March 2009 I was told to send fresh form with address as the same is not found with Air Tel office at Chandigarh/Shimla/Dharamsala. I was advised to deposte it with local aitel dealer which I did twice. Despite meeting the requirement my No was disconnected. I had a balace of Rs 700 plus. It was highhandedness on the part of Airtel, how could they disconnect the number without giving a final notice? Why the hell they did not verify my identity, speaking to me directly, . How on earth they diconnect a number in use for 5 years? I have filed a case in Distt Consumer Redressal Forum Disst Kangra (HP) camp at DEHRA . Now they are sending feelers to me for a compormise with a promise to restore the same no. and a paltry amount. Disgraceful. I want to know the address of Sh Sunil Bharti Mittal and send him my complaint and those quilty should be sacked. Disgusting.Cdr RS Patial (Retd) Advocate.

bharti tele services — regarding bill plan

i have submitted request for change of bill plan from 999 yr plan to 399 just 30 plan on 10.11.2009 to rajahmundry franchies m/s v.v infotech, rajahmundry which was not forwarded the same till date.

And the bill was generated as per old bill plan. and this is for your kind information that the delay made by your franchies office.

pls look into the matter and take necessary action.

I am holding Airtel Mobile prepaid connection No. [protected] since last 7yrs or so. On 3 2 2010 I visited M s Super Technosys at Laxmi Nagar Vikas Marg Delhi being your authorized Airtel relationship center for seeking additional Airtel prepaid connection for my wife. I had purchased the new connection of Airtel bearing No. [protected] on 03 02 2010 but till date the number is not activated. I have already contacted the above said agency for activation of the said connection and they have assured to activate the same within 2 days after verification but no one came from the authorized Center to my residence till date. Ironically on 5 2 10 evening I personally visited the center and was informed that some executive might have visited my residence on 3 02 2010 at 4:00 PM at Sita Ram Apartment Patparganj and apparently found the house locked. When I asked my wife about the situations she told me that nobody had visited us. Infact that day my wife was very much at our residence and he might have visited the adjoining flat No. 433 which is locked for quite some time. Accordingly I had requested M s Airtel on email and telephonically to instruct the concerned official from your organization to visit us on our address as above with prior intimation to the undersigned on my mobile No. [protected].



Today also I enquired from Ms Geeta sales Executive M s Super Technosys Telephonically and was told that even today some executive visited my residence with a negative report . Incidently upon enquiry from My Wife I was told that only for 15 mins she had gone downstaires to pick up my kids from the school bus .Even the security guards of the society deny any such visit by the airtel executive.


May I request you to take stern action against the irresponsive and apathetic attitute shown by the staff of M s Super Technosys and other field staff due to which my new Airtel prepaid connection could not be activated despite my best intentions and as a credit worthy Airtel prepaid customer for last 7 yrs .

It is however unfortunate that instead of readressing my genuine grievance of activating the applied number, he has just offered me to apply for a fresh number which will again be subject to such unreliable verifications. I do not accept such offers. Rather I request to you to kindly get my verification done at your end by way of suitable means such as, enquiry through my neighbours or office bearers of Sita Ram Society and activate the already applied connection and also take stern action against the erring Airtel Official for his irresponsible attitude. Else, I may be constrained to avail myself of available legal remedies.
