!dea is rejecting my MNP request for fake and wrong reason:
I am Bhaskar Pal of 164, M. N. K. Road (South) Baranagar Kolkata – 700036, I had subscribed one prepaid !dea connection of number [protected] (Kolkata Circle) which was activated on 1-Jan-2011.
Now a day I am taking decision to port out this connection to Tata Docomo, as this reason I had requested for UPC code for this no on 21-Jan-2011 & that UPC code was IK275QRB and this code was valid up to 5-Feb-2011.
On 22-Jan-2011 I was submitted MNP registration request to one Tata Docomo store. On 27-Jan-2011 I was received one SMS from TA-1901 the text was “Your Port In request for Mobile Number [protected] has been rejected by your service provider as you have been on their network for less that 90 days”. This reason for rejection was totally wrong and base less because of my connection was at that point 391 days (1-Jan-2010 to 27-Jan-2011) old. Then I was contacted with !dea customer care help line also I docketed a complain for this wrong issue with complain number[protected], still complain was not solved and showing processing.
On 6-Feb-2011 I was collected one more UPC code for this number because my previous UPC code was expired, the UPC code was IK297324 and will valid up to 21-Feb-2011. On 12-Feb-2011, I was again submitted one fresh MNP form along with my new UPC code at Tata Docomo store.
Finally I am very depressed to informing you that my existing provider this is !dea was rejected this Port In request on 14-Feb-2011 with another new issue, I was really surprised to sowing that SMS coming from TA-1901 and the text was “Your Port In request for Mobile Number [protected] has been rejected by your service provider due to legal reason”
After two unsuccessful MNP request, on 23-Feb-2011 I had submitted another MNP request in Tata Tele service for port-out my number from !dea to port-in Tata Docomo, my UPC code of this MNP request is IK228621. From one SMS come from TA-1901 I have known that my MNP request for my number is forwarded to !dea for approval.

Airtel Rejecting MNP

I had opted to port my Airtel no.[protected] to vodaphone but i received message from vodaphone that my service request is rejected dut to subscribers contractual obligations. I had contacted nodal officer,
customer care, visited airtels office, sent mail but no feedback on my request. Will i be able to port my number ??????

I had given an application for mobile number portability on 4th febuary 2011 to port my Idea no. [protected] to Airtel prepaid

But no action was taken by Airtel for 15 days and my UPC expired. So again on 2nd march I submitted my new UPC to the Airtel dealer who sits in a Airtel counter in my company. But still I have not got any response from Airtel. Company in which Airtel counter is located- Accenture, Whitefield, Varanasi) to whom I submitted my records is also not responding to me properly.

I had a very bad experience trying to port my number from Idea to Airtel. Kindly address the issue and port my number to Airtel at the earliest.

I have spent 2 hours yesterday and 2 hours today in the Airtel Outlet
(Electronic City) with relevant information and you people did not Activate my
account yet. My verification was done on Thursday (10th March 2011) and the
verification person (Manju) told me my account will be activated by 13.00 hrs
next day (Friday - 11th March 2011). It was NOT done and I called him and he
said he too do not know the problem and confirmed that he had submitted my
verification documents to Airtel. I talked with his manager and he too

service represntative and she said that she cannot help because my activation
authorization is not released.

documents in the Airtel outlet and they will provide me another SIM with the
same number. I visited the outlet and the person behind the desk said he
cannot help out and redirected me to the hotline number. I called the hotline
number and she understood my problem and told me to handover the phone to the
person behind the desk. I handed over the call and they spoke something and
disconnected. He told me that he need to send an email to get an approval and
then only he can help me.

I am not understanding what is going on. Was I spotted like a terrorist in the
verifiation? Why are you guys acting so weird. I cried yesterday for this and
I am Helpless. It is very easy to get another SIM but you do not understand
how many relations I loose if I discard this number.

I remember one thing though. I saw your MNP ad on yahoo website and I
submitted my request TRUSTING Airtel. Within hours a guy came from Airtel and
done all formallaties and vanished. Airtel was careful until ny number was
totally ported and once it is done, it discarded me like a garbage and
treating me as a most undervalue person in this world.

I have couple of thousands invested in your company and I am loosing trust on
you day by day.

I have network issue in airtel for 8 months and I wish to change to vodafone thro mobile no.portability.But evrytime my request is rejected by airtel .I have cleared all outstandings and cleared all the request given by airtel.I did everything and I got a confirmation mail from airtel also.But again my mnp is rejected.When i called airtel no response.This is going for more than 6 months .They wont solve problems neither they leave also.This is an harassing thing and due to this my Blood pressure gone up.Pls take action against those cheaters and help the citizens.I have all the proofs in writing.

Many people were excited when MNP or Mobile number portability was launched in India. But the truth is that most of the MNP requests don't go through and people lose the money they spent for purchasing new SIM card, security deposit amd MNP charges. While most of the subscribers complaint about hurdles that original service provider creates in MNP process, The situation is reverse in Airtel.

Airtel staff is incompetent to make extra effort in following up your case with your current service provider. They don't seem to be sending 2nd request to MCH (Mobile clearing house) to get the number ported in...

The case in question is the MNP request for porting out my number [protected] from Vodafone to Airtel. It was requested on January 22, 2011 at Jammu (India) and the UPC number provided to me was:

Now, its been almost 2 months now and I am still stuck with Vodafone. And Airtel is not doing anything.
When I reported, all I received was an assurance from airtel presence but nothing thereafter.

When I reported this issue initially on http://consumercomplaintsforum.org/ , I received several emails from Vodafone staff and even their Nodal officer assuring me that they are not stopping the MNP. On the other hand i have not heard anything from airtel who have my money to process the MNP.!

I want to change MNP from Airtel to TATA DOCCOMO, But airtel is not allowing What I have to do?
I am a customer of Airtel since long . Regular habit, Faulty deduction of amount from web browsing, unnecessary services and not providing details about usage . Because, they don't debit the actual usage.
Airtel is doing unethical practice to customer for not providing fair practice in working.

Apart from this, I have been asked to submit address proof and ID proof which would cause unnecessary workload and taking leave though i had given twice earlier in the financial year .

Among the service provider except net work connectivity rest of service provided are not as per the ethical practice.

Due to my bad experience since long With Airtel, I never recommend to any one.

I had opted for an operator change to Airtel(Prepaid) from Aircel(Prepaid). I had given the form and submitted the documents on 20th May, 2010 to my nearest airtel dealer.



My mobile number is [protected]. I got a message yesterday from 1901 that my number would be ported on 31st May from 12am to 5.30am. But I am still unable to use Airtel Service.





When I called up Airtel Customer Care today morning they said that my number has been ported to Airtel but some documents were pending. I then called up my nearest dealer and they said that they had given all documents and still I am unable to use the Airtel Network.





Now its been more than 10 days since I have submitted the form.

I requested MNP from my vodafone Prepaid to Airtel Prepaid on 27-06-11.
Sir,On 16 july,my number come in Airtel & its outgoing started.
But,On 18 july my AIRTEL service stoped & MNP is rejected due to new sim Card (buy less than 90 day)

BUT,Sir,My simcard is two years old (buy in 2009)

When i go to Airtel office ,they said that contact to Vodafone office.

When i go to Vodafone office,they said that your MNP request accepted or your Number went to Airtel & you contact to Airtel

what can i do?
