Airtel — Poor Service

I am Neeraj.
Today i went to Airtel outlet,Rajouri garden regarding the MNP from vodafone to airtel.
I Provide them all the documents,but later they said to get the photostate of these documents
Its around 10:30 Am and no shops were open by this time and i wasted my 30 mins in searching for the shop.
This is the first outlet which i seen without the scanner.I have visited Vodafone store and Aircel outlet and they are well versed with all these basic things.
Are Airtel outlet are so poor that they wont afford a scanner/photostate machine or they have but they dont want to use for their consumers.I Am a regular airtel consumer and has around 5 airtel connections with 1 broadband connection.
My complaint is that please give them a photostate machine(comes with all hp printer) so that no other people would waste their time for such small things.

I am very sorry to say that now airtel broadband internet connection is going to be a very big problem for the customer. According to airtel executives airtel is going to be bankrupt they have no money to bear the cost of service engineers so they posted one engineer for whole district . A general complaint may take five to seven days to be attend. they have divided the customers in gold , platinum etc customers according to there bills . platinum customer's are attended on priority basis other have to wait for more than seven days some times .so much big company too much low profile in customer care shame on them.

Sub: Request for Disconnection Airtel Digital TV Connection due to poor Service.

Please let me know the procedure to disconnect the Airtel Digital TV Connection to the above Ref# (Customer ID# [protected]).

I bought a connection from Airtel on 17/05/2011 through phone while booking itself your executive said that your service engineer will install all the necessary items before 1:00 O’clock on same day (17/05/2011) but he came by 3 O’clock and installed but…

While I’m booking the connection itself all my friends and relatives said that don’t go with Airtel since they have more customers they are unable to provide good service so choose some other products who give best service but I said to them that because of their good service only they have that much of customers but you people proved it what my friends and relatives said is right

I listed 4 Problems in detail for your reference.

Problem 1
I opted for 2 Regional languages (Tamil & Telugu) but provided Telugu and Kannada after so many calls it has been resolved.

Problem 2
On my pack you need to give 12 meters of wire to me to connect Airtel dish and setup box but he used some old wires (Dish TV) which was left by some one who stayed earlier at there. If they (Dish TV) come and take their items I will be in the problem.

Problem 3
By Saturday (21/05/2011) suddenly on my TV I received an message as “No Signal” with error code “B0008” immediately I called your customer service and inform to them.

They said that they will register a complaint regarding this and service engineer will come to my home on Sunday (22/05/2011) morning 9:00 O’clock so my entire family waited for service engineer till my 11:00 O’clock by postponing all our programs which we planned already.

So I call again customer support by 11:00 O’clock on 22/05/2011 the lady said that our appointment was given for afternoon 1:30 pm I said to her that while I’m filing the complaint it was advice to me as morning 9 O’clock now you saying that 1:30 pm and request her to give correct timing so she confirmed again and said that before 4:30 pm (Sunday) our problem will get resolved.

My father dropped from our plan and left in home to get resolved this issue. By 5:00 pm I got a message stating that “Dear Customer, your Service request reference no is 8215082 for “Video Problem” has been resolved. If the issue is unresolved please call [protected]” after I reach home by 8:00 pm my father said no one came from “Airtel” to resolve the problem so immediately I switch on the TV and Setup Box to check whether it has been resolved but still we face the same problem.

I called the given Ph# [protected] but no response so again I called Customer Service and spoke to them and explain all the above scenario and request him to give procedure to cancel Airtel Digital TV but he requested to give him one final chance and he will make sure that this problem will be get resolved before 4:30 pm (23/05/2011) Monday evening.

I agree for that and waited till 6:30 pm on (23/05/2011) but no one responded so I called again the customer service and requested for the procedure to cancel the connection again they requested for one more chance to resolve this problem but I requested to them really we totally fed with their service and disconnect the connection he said he will send a request for disconnection and somebody will talk to me in next 24 hours from their office I agree for that so he put request for disconnection with reference# [protected].

Problem 4
While booking they said I will get 127 channels apart from my 2 Regional packages but I’m receiving only 90 Channels inclusive of DD and free channels I adopted.


Please consider my request and cancel the digital TV connection and refund my full amount immediately Rs. 1590/- (One thousand five hundred and ninety only).

Note: Even I planning to file a complaint on Airtel Digital TV on consumer court on above issue without attaining the problem itself it was advice as problem resolved”

I am a customer of Airtel DTH. For the past one week I have not been getting telecast. Despite
so many complaints, they attended after a week and said that my set top box is burnt and asked
me to pay Rs.400/- for providing a swap set top box. I agreed to pay but asked them to provide
me a new one. They refused. I have not been trying to contact them. I am not getting any one of
the executives on line. The language used by the Customer Care Executives is also very
overexciting. I requested them to pay back my balance in the account as it happens in a
Bank account. There is no response. Airtel DTH is the worst of its kind.

I request them to pay back my balance in the account, failing which I shall raise a dispute
in Dist. Consumer Forum.

had complaint on 28'th may to the customer care that my set of box is unable to receive signals. and they sad that they will send an technician on that day till 3.15 pm
but the technician din't come on that day and one of the technician for the airtel dth phoned me an said tht he will visit on the next day at 10 am . whn i phoned him he said hell come on pm and this how they just tried to egnore me ? whn i call him then tey said that u r not in our service area . they give me another no. to call on land line no whn i call the customer car was not talking properly an said if the technician is availabe i will send otherwise on the nxt day .and i told thm that this how u give service i will not use airtel dth ?

i got airtel lanline broadband connection 3 months back. it was goin all well till 20 th may 2011 when it suddenly stopped working. i called the customer care to look up into the matter. they responded that our engineer will come and fix it tommorow . an engineer came after 2 days , he checked that fault is in the line (DSL), so he said that DSL enginner will come and fix it. He gave me a no. of DSL enginner. i called him ,he said he will come or sen some one to fix it, but no one came till date , so i got no service. finally i decided to get my connection cancelled. i called for it on customer care. they put me on hold for several minutes , so that they can transfer call to cancellation department. but no one responded. i called again the next day , even then their response was vague.

They are charging me for the period during which i did not even have the service. so i complaint against it.
I have an Airtel mobile connection, standing in my company name. I have not been receiving a detailed bill to my email address [protected]@hotmail.com
I have spoken with their executives on innumerable occasions to send me an email as they have dropped the paper bill facilities. For the past three months I have not received any bills. I am just making the payments based on an sms sent to me. I have been receiving auto generated sms from Airtel insisting that my email address is [protected]@yahoo.com. I called them and sent them my correct email address on 121, as instructed. However, till date there has been no bill sent to my address.

How does this company expect us to make payments without a bill ?? Is'nt that illegal and bad in law ? I need to see the details of the bill to ensure that I have not been overcharged.

from past four days not a single channel is coming i had given complaint through 12150(airtel dth cutomer

care) almost 20 times ,but no result so far,nobody is taking care only talking every time they are saying

our engineer will come before 3:00pm.but no body is coming they had given some mobile no to contact

the concern person but he also not picking up the phone.

No clue what to do???????

I'm Vinodh and my mobile number is [protected]. I usually put airtel booster 225. My booster got expired last night and so i recharged it today. before recharging, i called customer care around 11:40 and asked the tariff of 225 as i doubt there might be some change. But the executive who spoke with me said that 10p/s to airtel and 50p/s to other mobiles and 90p/s to landline and 18000 sms loc/nat sms free. Having this is in mind and i went to dealer and asked him about tariff of same 225. He too said the said and he too called customer care before me to confirm. After confirming it i recharged my number with 225rs booster. Now that, call rates are ok but they are costing 10p per message for local and national. It was said 18000 sms are free and i don't know whats wrong. When i spoke to customer executive by 3:00 pm she said no sms are free and will be charged. What service is this. I confirmed the offer twice and then only i recharged it. Is there no solution to this. Now they are costing me for messages. Also one more biggest issu is i can't make calls to customer care. Very poor service from airtel. Already i complained this once and they rectified it and once again. A customer can't even speak to customer care means, see the poor service provided by airtel. Very poor that when some plan has been changed can't even convey that to customer or even dealer. Now that only my rs225 is being wasted and nothing for you people who don't care for service. Very poor. Very much regretted with the service of airtel. Please kindly resolve this issue.

Very Very poor service. Since 3 days there is no signal. Dealer is telling to talk to Customer care. Y day i complaint but till date not resolved. for imm responce they are asking rs 100.

I am very much fed up with the service provided by Airtel. I wanted to get rid of that so i opted to port my number to other service provider and infact i got the unique porting id also but i got a call from airtel executive and she insisted me to stay with airtel they will reduce my call rate with in 48 hours and she also cancelled my unique porting id however till date (48 hours expired) my call rates are as it was early.

Now i want to port my number at any cost and wont be with airtel. Herewith just seeking help from the higher authotities to get a fresh unique porting id.

I have raised a complaint ,by calling 12150, last saturday where I mentioned that dth connection is not working .It's saying 'No signal' and errorcode B001.There is no recharge issue.I was told that a technician would come and gave me following number to contact :[protected].I contacted at this number and was told that technician would come.The whole week has passed and he didn't come.He contacted me last monday & tuesday, and I told him to come before 9:00a.m or after 6:30pm.He said he will come.But He never came.Today I contacted again at the number from which technican called me before: [protected].I was told to again contact call center and then he will come.I contacted call cente and was told that the technician has reported that I was not available & that's why the issue has not been solved!This is such a big lie! He contacted me and I told him to come.I raised a second complaint and number is: 6701452.I again contacted them and they told me to contact at a diferent number: [protected].But he didn't come even today! This is so pathetic and so unprofessional.

I am being harassed by making me to call at so many numbers and technician is still not coming!Why do I need to call so many numbers so many times and still technician would not come.Could you please send a technician soon!!!! This is really bad.
yes it got solved but it was not immediate.Once a call has been made, any customer would prefer that it should be acted upon immediately, without the need to do much follow up.
Hi, the same happened to me for 119 Booster.
The call rates arent changed. However, they are charging 10ps for sms to other netwoks.
Earlier it was 10K free sms to all network,
now its 12K free sms only to Airtel Network, to rest its 10ps per sms.
When I sms "MRP 119" to 121, i dont get this 10ps sms cost in its details.

This is unfair from Airtel. I am sad that Rs 119 is in vain now.

I mailed to [protected]@in.airtel.com on Saturday and havent heard back from them.
Launched a complain against loss of connection 5 days back & no response at all infact their phone executives are so rude that they hang up on you when you call to complain.

Mobile nos [protected] & [protected]..i want to change this nos to my friend but airtel not ready to change the numbers even we ready to submit all the required documents they were not ready to even answer for us....

very very poor service i m a three years customer for airtel now i want to transfer because i want to continue with airtel,,,this very shame to stick with airtel

if airtel not ready to change the name i m sure i will change to vodofone..

i m shamed again i have to wait an hour to contact customer care..
this is shows a careless ness of airtel because airtel got more customer..

if it continues airtel will loose people hopes soon...

i never prescribe airtel for anybody hereafter
