[Resolved]  Airtel Postpaid Bill — Wrong information from Customer Care Executive.Without informing changed bill plan & wrongly charged.

Hi All,
My mobile number is - [protected].
I had called Customer Care on 6th March, 2008 to change my bill plan.But my request was not heeded & the Customer Care Executive informed me that the bill plan cannot be changed until next billing cycle.Then I had requested Airtel for the 'Hotline Plan' in which I had free service from my Cell Number to the new Sim card number I received in the plan.Without my prior notice the bill plan was changed on 11th March, 2008 & I have been wrongly charged for the calls I made to the new Sim card number.The amount which was charged for the calls made on this number is about Rs.1937.00 which should have been ideally free according to the "Hotline Plan".
I had been using Airtel Services since 2 years and had been paying the charges on time.Being an old customer, my request for compensation on the charges is not being granted.Inspite of calling the Customer Care Unit everyday regarding this matter, the Unit is not responding properly.Is this the kind of service Airtel gives to its Customer who has been paying bills regularly since 2 long years ?
I am ready to pay the bill for the other calls I made but I am just requesting compensation for the call charges to my new Sim Card number( got through new Hotline Plan).I dont want to change my number but I also wont pay the charges which are wrongly charged to me.
I hope my request will be considered and please reply me as soon as possible.Hope that you will take right steps within a small span of time and oblige me.

Dear sir,

My post paid no of[protected] was kept under safe custody at Bangalore and it was not renewed for the past 2years. Now i wish to renew the same and pls let me know how to do the same as my deposit amount yet not collected. Pls kindly help me to retain this no.

Airtel — Not informing customer of the new plans/charges

I have received a very bad service from Airtel so, wanted to let TRAI know abt the service that I received.. Here is a complaint I sent to Airtel..

HI! This is Mithun Shankar.. I am a customer of Airtel from almost 5 years now.. I have another no. with Vodafone and I get a very good service from them, but I am not sure why Airtel has got such a bad customer service..
My first concern is that I was not informed regarding the 100 message only limits, anytime during the past week as all your representatives say that I have been informed regarding the same.. If you have the records pls check and If you say that you have sent the message, I would like to see a copy of the delivery report.. Kindly send the screenshot to my e-mail address [protected]@gmail.com..
Secondly, I called Airtel on 1st of March on the no 121, when I first experienced this problem, I spoke to

who was very rude on the call and said that nothing can be done.. I was sure that something can be done and requested him to put me on to his manager.. But Mr. Karthik, instead of connecting me to his manager asap put me on hold for more than 11 mins and then connected the call to

Mr. Manoj was good and helped solve my problem, but by the time that problem was solved, the third problem had arised.. Mr. Manoj too put me on hold twice on the call and finally said that he will be crediting the Rs 3 that was charged on the Messages that was sent.. That was kind of Mr. Manoj but by the time all this was resolved, it took me almost 27 to 28 mins on the call.. I was charged Rs. 4.50 for the call.. I had to spend Rs. 4.50 for no mistake of mine to get a credit of Rs. 3.. when I brought this to the notice of Mr. Manoj, he informed me to call 198 which is a toll free no. I asked him why couldn't he inform the no previously for which he did not have an answer. I had to go through all this hassle just because Airtel does not have a proper mechanism of informing their customers, regarding the changes.. This is not the first time that I am facing such a problem, Previously too, when Airtel started charging for the Messages on Festival days, I was not informed and later that was resolved with the credit.. I do not wish to be penalized for no mistake of mine.. I wish that Airtel compensate for the Rs. 4.50 that I was charged for a call to enquire.. I usually get the message confirming of the service provided on the call but this time I wanted to Leave a feedback but I never got a survey. I am sure that one of the 2 representatives whom i spoke to have not triggered the feedback.. I wish that Airtel improves on the servc that they provide to its customers, I would never wish to have a service where customers are treated as scum.. If there is nothing that can be done, do inform me and I will be more than happy to port my no to other providers who can give me better services.. I was with Postpaid with this no. but when Airtel did not provide me with the best of the services, I was forced to get it on the prepaid as I did not want to Lose this no. as I've given this no. for all my references.. Now With no portability, I do have an option. Pls Let me know if you would like to have me as a customer or not..
I wish I get a quick response to my mail and I am not treated the same as I was by the representatives in the so called customer service team..

Sir why your customer care execuitives have blocked my mobile number to complain services, since last month u deducting balance wrongfully and when i strarted complaints your execuitve block my number kindly look into matter and reply me and ask to execuitve why the any services from you side start and u deduct all time wrongful balance from my mobile. Kindly let me now about all this and refund the balance which dedcuted on 18.05.2011 and 20.05.2001 immidately.

This is to bring to your kind attn. that my fixed line No[protected] A/C no. 11630797 & Bill No. 19422457 where in Rs. 300 has been charged for Shifting the Line from 1st Floor to the Ground Floor, on request the concernedCustomer Care Madam has tlod that Rs 300 will not be charged, We tried to solve the matter by getting through 121where we were asked to go through 198 where in the concerned person could not help us. We had visited your outlet at Chandni but we did not get any positive result. Kindly look into the matter & let us know the outcome.

Airtel — Continuous Wrong call And SmS

Airtel — I recharged and suddenly the package is changed without prior information

I just recharged a sms pack of rs32 which I do regularly and it was used to be for 400 national and local sms's, but when I recharged it today on 15th Sept 2011, the package is changed and now the package is only for local region, I am really fed up with your service, please please provide some better service, I always think that you can do in better way, but every time you guys disprove my belief on you. So kindly provide me the MNP guidance.

i am vikas using [protected] Airtel no from last 14 months on 25 April 2012 airtel stop my daily local and national hundred messages without any intimation of this. i was using as i am use my message pack. i got my bill on 28 may 2012 i was charged 1900 approximately only for messages. this was too much for me. i called many time to customer care executive but the said they can't do any thing for this...
Hi All,

i bought a sim from air tel sales person in the month of October 2011, the tariff plan was 199 and i had activated 98rs of GPRS the offer was like i had minutes of free talk time every month and 300 sms free for a month, for first 2 months i got a proper bill for which the payment was done on time and from January 2012 i din get any bills, i calles the customer care they said the bill amouth was 490 i said that i wanted a clear explanation but they didn't do it. I even gave to many requests to get the number deactivated but they didn't respond, so i switched off the number by the end of Feb now the bill is gone upto 2000+ again i called the customer care but they didn't have answer to my query.

the service is going worst day by day. you people simply charge for what we are not worth for.
