Airtel Postpaid — Airtel Post Paid : Airtel has not returned the deposit money

This is regarding a very bad experience with Airtel.

Ever since I took the airtel conection [protected], I had problems with poor connectivity, call dropping, getting the junk messages even after DND request.

The problems were never corrected and hence I decided to close the subscription. I paid all the outstanding bills on 16th April and gave the request for disconnection.

I sent the request for refund of the security deposit on 17th April to Nodal office of Airtel. I sent me mail asking me the details of my bank for refunding the money. I never received any cheque from the airtel.

To my surprise, airtel kept generating the bills even after 17th April. They conveniently used up my security deposit aganist the fictitiuos bills that they generated.

I have discared the sim card on 16th April itself and I had cleared all the bills before applying for disconnection of the bills.

Could someone help to me get back my security deposit that airtel has sallowed ?

Below is the mail I had received from airtel on 17th April.

Hello

It is been almost more than 3 months that I am facing network issues.
Whenever I contact customer care I get a service number but the problem
remains.

Problems in brief:

The network connectivity on my cell works for 1 or 2 weeks but then
suddenly the network connection drops dead and shows emergency calls only.
This issue happens irrespective of my location. All my calls are drops and
I can t make any calls. Sometimes I can t hear from the other party but
then my meter keeps running.

I am in touch with customer care from 3 months and not a single time I have
heard any resolution on this issue always I get to hear that it is been
looked into.

I stay in a prime locations of Bangalore and my network connection shows
full strength but the moment I start a call or receive a call the signal
strength drops

Thanks
Shailaja

Airtel — deposit not received after disconnection

my phone was automatically disconnected by the company in december 2007.When i realised this i contacted the customer care they had no answer as i had not submitted any application for disconnection .then about my deposit they told me it will be refunded in 45 days.In june again i contacted them then again they said we are once again sending a cheque, it will reach you in 15 days .my question is their bills can reach on time and that too without any mentioning of wrong address. It is not about money but about a trust you place in a company .
Dear sir,

I am sorry to say that I am waiting since May’2009 to get the refunds against the Security Money deposited by me for International Roaming during May’2009, with your company.

Since 15th May’2009 number of time I have contacted to your executives over phone (No. 121), but every time everybody has promised me for an early refund of my security money, but till date I could not get the refund of Rs. 6000/- against security money deposited by me in your company.

I will feel obliged if you could refund the above said money at your earliest, otherwise I will forced to go through the police in the court of Law.

Airtel — Security deposit not returned after account closed

I was holding a postpaid Airtel number in pune for around 4 years which I closed my due to various reasons (The most important one is that I moved to navi mumbai from pune and signals were very week in this region) on 23rd of Jul 2010. For this number I have submitted an amount of Rs. 249 as security deposit. I was informed that I will receive a cheque for my security deposit amount after 45 days of closing the account. Its been around 55 days I have not yet received any such cheque.
I tried to reach out to airtel customer care and the harassment begins.
At first place, Airtel IVR does not have any option for a customer to select when the account is closed. I tried to go via 'non-existing user -> to buy a new airtel connection' and got a chance to talk to there representative, even when I selected English as the communication language the customer care rep talks in Hindi (that too is hopeless :( ). During conversation I was informed that I was connect to Airtel prepaid department even though I dialed postpaid number (pune - [protected]). Prepaid team dont like to deal with postpaid customers so they simply disconnect. After trying same number for around 10-12 times finally it gets connected to postpaid department and the rep informs that the system is down, they cannot access the information and make a call after an hour. After 1 hours again I had to repeated same process and still the system is down, and this continued for the whole day. Again next day when I repeated the similar process and the system was up the reps were not having any solution to the problem and the simply disconnected the call and this happened for 4 times.
Finally, I decided to drop a mail to customer care services ( [protected]@airtelindia.com ) to look into the matter, I received a system generated acknowledgement mail with the reference number for further communication and the message that they will get back in 24 hours. Its been 4 days and I have not received any further communication from airtel.
I have send a reminder mail but still there is no answer. I tried to call them again but its going in same loop. I faced similar problem with one more number of Airtel that I was using around 6 months ago and finally I stopped sending the reminder mails for that number. It seems to be a habit of Airtel, not to return security deposit. I dont know how to escalate it and get my money back from Airtel.
Dear Sir,

This is to inform u that for my account [protected] onetime charges have been activated without any confirmation call or message to me.so i complaint many times to ur relationship centers and to ur customer care people. but there is no response from ur people.so i need a waver for that bill immediately(bill no :[protected] & bill date:[protected].other wise am going to close all my remaining four connections.so plz do needful ASAP...
