[Resolved]  Airtel Postpaid Sim — Charged twice for the same service

Sub:- Illegally charging money for the same service more than once.
Sir,
I, Annkur Soni, have been using airtel mobile no.[protected] for the past more than 5 years. Last year I was called by one of the customer care executive from airtel and told that a new scheme has been launched in which I would be charged Rs. 200/- only for the caller tune activated in my no. instead of Rs. 30 per month. I opted for the same and I was charged Rs. 200/- as annual payment, somewhere in the month of June-July 2010. This year in February again I was asked to pay Rs. 200/-, as I was told that my subscription has expired. I didn’t remember the last time when I made my payment so I took the statement of that executive of yours to be true and again paid Rs.200/- for my caller tune service.
Thereafter in the month of June 2011 again I started getting calls from your customer care for payment of Caller tune charges. I told them every time they called (about 9/10 times) that I have already been charged Rs.200/- in the month of Feb (5.02.2011) only than why am I asked for payment again. Worst part is that I was called during my working time and every time I had to leave the court or my office to attend this call causing me huge inconvenience. After getting frustrated from these calls I finally called the customer care department to discontinue my caller tune service although I had paid for the same. My call was attended by the girl named ‘Mala’ and she admitted the fault of the customer care executives after checking my record as the same clearly reflected that I have already made the payment. To retain me as a customer of Airtel she assured me that next time I won’t be bothered because she had written a special note in my account that I have already made the payment of caller tune services.
To my surprise this did not stop even after this note and I still received calls from your customer care and when I told them to check the note written in my account then instead of replying to me they abruptly disconnected my call. This is totally unprofessional on the part of the company officials and I feel that they are bend to defraud the customers as I have been again charged Rs.200/- on 09.08.2011.
I fail to understand that after attaining such good reputation and being no.1 service provider the company is still need of making money by playing fraud on its customers. I have been made to suffer lot of inconvenience because of your executives and I have been cheated by charging time and again for the same service for which I had already paid.
I hereby request you to pay my money back which has been charged in excess and fraudulently. You are further requested to pay a sum of Rs 50,000/- as compensation for the inconvenience caused failing which I shall be restrained to initiate legal proceedings against you at in the appropriate court of law at your own cost and risk.
