[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — recycle of number

dear sir,
I HAD AN AIREL POST PAID CONNECTION WITH NO. [protected] AND HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS OR SO RECENTLY ON 24 TH OF NOV 2009. I GAVE A REQUEST TO AIRTEL, AT THEIR CUSTOMER CARE CENTER TO CONVERT THE SAME NUMBER TO PRE PAID. AT THE CENTER I WAS REQUESTED TO FILL IN THE NECESSARY FORMS TO COMPLY WITH THEIR RULES.HENCE I HAVE SUBMITTED ALL THE FORMS DULY FILLED WITH THE RELATION SHIP OFFICERS AND PROVIDED MY ELECTION CARD AS PHOTO IDENTY AND ADDRESS PROOF AS IS REQUIRED BY AIRTEL.

AFTER TWO DAYS I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE AIRTEL RELATION SHIP OFFICER MR . ROHIL WHOSE TELEPHONE N0. IS [protected] ON MOSQUE ROAD FRASER TOWN BANGALORE WHERE I SUBMIITED THE FORMS, STATING THIAT I HAVE TO PAY THE ENTIRE OUTSTANDING ON MY POST PAID NUMBER [protected] TO WHICH I WENT BACK TO THE OFFICE AN PAID THE ENTIRE DUE OF RS. 1200/-

TWO DAYS AFTER THIS MY PHONE WENT DEAD WITH OUT ANY INFORMATION FROM AIRTEL
FROM WHICH I REALISED I MAY HAVE BEEN MIGRATED HENCE I MIGRATED TO A PRE PAID CHARGED MY PHONE AND STARTED USING THE PHONE AS A PRE PAID CUSTOMER WITH THE SAME NO. [protected]
AFTER ABOUT 4 TO 5 DAYS SUDDENLY MY OUT GOING WAS BARRED. I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE OF AIRTEL AND WAS INFORMED THAT I HAD NOT SUBMITTED THE DOCUMENTS.
IWENT BACK TO THE RELATION SHIP OFFICE, QUESTIONED THEM REGARDING THIS AND RE SUBMITTED THE FORMS THIS TIME MR. SAJID TOOK THE FORMS AND SAID THAT HE WOULD DO THE NEED FUL
AFTER THIS MY INCOMING WAS RELEASED
AGAIN ON THE 12 OF DECEMBER BOTH MY IN COMING AND OUT GOING WERE BARRED WITHOUT INFORMATION FROM AIRTEL. ON CALLING CUSTOMER CARE TYEY TOLD ME THAT THE DOCUMENTS WERE NOT RECEIVED.
I WENT BACK TO THE RELATION SHIP OFFICER MR. WAJID RE SUBMITTED THE DOCUMENTS. WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE FORMS WERE SUBMITTED AND AGAIN RE SUBMITTED THE FORMS WITH THE ELECTION CARD XEROX COPY .HE GAVE ME A STAMPED COUNTER FOIL ON WHICH HE HAS WRITTEN THAT (THIS CUSTOMER HAS SUBMITTED THE DOCUMENTS THREE TIMES).
ON THE 12 TH OF DEC I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE AND SPOKE TO MR. SHIVAKUMAR SUPERVISOR WHO TOLD ME THAT THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED THE DOCUMENTS AND SENT FOR VERIFICATION. SINCE THE VERICIFICATION DEP'T COULD NOT FIND THE PLACE HENCE IT WAS BARRED. (I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER AIRTEL NO. OF THE SAME ADRESS IN MY WIFES NAME WHICH IS WORKING FINE YOU CAN DRAW YOUR CONCLUSIONS REGARDING VERIFICATION) THIS CONVERSATION WITH MR. SHIVAKUMAR IS RECORDED BY ME AS PROOF TO SHOW THAT AIRTEL HAS RECEIVED THE DOCUMENTS.

A LITTELE WHILE LATER I CALLED AIRTEL AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO SOME ONE SENIOR WHEN MRS> PRATIMA FLOOR SUPERVISOR COME ONLIN AND SAID THAT i HAD NOT SUBMITTED THE DOCUMENTS
(I HAVE ALSO RECORDED THIS CONVERSATION)

BY EVENING MY NUMBER [protected] WAS FINE BOTH IN COMMING AND OUT GOING WERE RELEASED
SICE THIS WAS STRANGE I CALLED AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO SOME ONE SENIOR THIS IS WHEN MR. DINESH FLOOR MANAGER CAME ON LINE MY SPECEFIC QUESTION TO HIM WAS HOW MY MOBILE NO. [protected] IS FINE NOW AND THAT I WANT A PERMENANT RESOLUTION
TO THIS. MR. DINESH TOOK SOME TIME VERIFIED EVERY THING AND TOLD ME THAD THAT THERE HAD BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE VERIFICATION DEPATMENT AND EVERYTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED AND I WILL HAVE NO BREAK IN SERVICE FROM AIRTEL IN FUTURE. HE FURTHER TOLD ME THAT AIRTEL APOLIGISES TO ME FOR THE IN CONVENIENCE CAUSED AND WOULD ALSO GO AHEAD AND INVESTIGATE THIS BLUNDER AND TAKE SEVERE ACTION AGAIN THOSE INVOLVED IN INCONVENIENCING ME EVEN TO THE LEVEL OF SUSPENSION IN THE VERIFICATION DEPT.
HE ALSO SAID THAD HE WOULD CALL ME THE NEXT DAY TO CONFIRM THAT ALL IS WELL(THIS CONVERSITATION IS ALSO RECOREDE BY ME)

SURELY ON THE 14 HE CALLED ME TO CONFIRM TO ME THAT ALL IS WELL AND I WILL HAVE NO BREAK IN SERVICE IN FUTURE.


ON THE 5TH OF JAN 2010 WHEN I WENT TO GOA MY MOBILE PHONE STARTED SHOWING SIM NOT REGISTERED

ON CALLING AIRTEL I GOT THE MESSAGE THAT MY NUMBER IS IN RECYCLE FOR NON SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS.

1. I HAVE SUBMITTED THE DOCUMENTS 3 TIMES RELATION SHIP OFFICE OF AIRTEL IS WITH ME IN THIS THEY HAVE SHOWN ME PROOF THAT THEY HAVE SUBMITTED THE DOCUMENTS. MR. ROHIT AND MR SAJID RELATIONSHIP OFFICERS WILL CONFIRM THIS I HAVE ALSO MADE SAJID SPEAK TO AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE FROM AIRTEL RELATION SHIP OFFICE IN MY PRESENCE

2. DISCREPENCIES IN CUSTOMER CARE MR SHIVAKUMER CONFIRMING RECEIPT OF DOCUMENTS AND SENDING SOME ONE FOR VERIFECATION AND MINUTES LATER MSS. PRATIMA SAYING THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE DOCUMENTS

3. MR. DINESH FLOOR MANAGER OF AIRTEL COUSTOMER CARE CONFIRM THAT ALL ISSUES HAVE BEEN RESOLVED AND THAT I WILL HAVE NO BREAK IN SERVICE AND APOLOGISING ON BEHALF OF AIRTEL.

4. ON THE 4TH NIGHT MY NO. GOING INTO RECYCLE

PLEASE GET MY NUMBER BACK.THIS BEING MY BUSINESS NO. AND ALL MY CLIENTS HAVING THIS NO. IT IS OF GREAT INCONVENIENCE TO THEM.

You are not going to get your number back. They did the same thing to me and disabled my two pre-paid numbers one after another within 3 months. These are the biggest crooks with highly inefficient service. I even wrote to Sunil Mittal'e id but that also was responded by one of the call center guys, as usual, without any meaningful response but a mere copy paste. This company is going to be see bad times very soon.
