[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — poor service/ cheeting

i got the message from airtel, that RC222 and get A2A STD worth 333.
i opted for that on 23rd july, after recharge i made STD call to Airtel no.for the first two days amount deducted from A2A voice balance whenever i makes STD call to Airtel no. My current balance to A2A voice STD is 216.12 rupees.from 26th onwards if i make STD call to AIRTEL no, amount is getting deducting from basic balance instead of A2A STD voice balance.
One occassion, having balance in A2A std voice balance of 212.60 rupeed, l am unable to make a call and the answer is insufficient balance. regarding this i made so many complaints to Airtel through SMS to 121, but not rectified. Still my problem is not solved

This is very bad and i missed so many important calls.
Iam planning to go to consumer forum regarding this irresponsible behaviour of Airtel.

Dear Mr. sunil Mittal,

I am neha saxena this side, i am using your airtel connection from more than four years.Trust me when i have started using this airtel prepaid i was a very happy customer..but i am so sorry to say that now your company's services are going worst..your competitors are rising up and Bharti is going down.

I am taking thsi pain to writing thsi letter to you becos no body at airtel is able to solve my problem,n i find you to be the most skilled person in Bharti.

Now my main peoblem which i am facing from last four month with your airtel is missed call alert services.Every month Rs.15 is deducting from my account..but still giving you my full support, i am not getting a single services of this missed call alert.than my question is for what i am paying ..I have registerd my compalaint 15 or more times..but you team is not able to solve my problem.Its more than 03 months, i am compalining about my missed call alert services, but nthing is happening.Every time i heard only one thing..sorry for the inconvienace you problem will be solved within 48 Hrs..i dont know when this 48 hrs. will b completed..is it take 3 months to complete 48 Hrs...One of Floor senior had told me this time i will forward your complain to the technicial head, bt i am still sorry even he is not able to solve the problem,what kind of people you hired, i am really suprised..

My only concern is somehow a bad image of airtel prepaid is creating in my mind...this is not the matter of One customer which you will lost very soon..Bt as you know..One unsatisfied customer may spoil your other or prospective customers.

Please give special comsideration to this....

i regret to say that my connection [protected] has been disconnected and the surprising factor is that this is being done for the second time without any prior information or reason. as for 121 is concerned it much of making a fool of the subscriber rather than rendering proper service. could you pls let me know how would a customer lodge complaint if the service no: does not respond, on to that your local spots are unable to answer the quiries, it seems that airtel is now more concerned in selling and not providing after sale service. this mail is being when your services have really taken me for a ride. do take the matter seriously

i got message from airtel (6787)at 10:15 am on 19/aug/08 that thanks for downloading laal dupatta as ur hello tune and deducted my balance.but my this tune is already existing since 2nd week of july and i haven't downloaded it again i don't know why airtel has done this to me. such things happens with me earlier in past.airtel changed my hellotune in the past, subscribes mobile radio for me, for these two things i haven't requested to them but than also tey gave me these two services unnessecarily and deducted my balance. this shows greedy behavior of airtel and their poor response. well i m not navneet who will plan, rather i go straight to consumer forum and complaint about ur careless and greedy behaviour. and let me mind u my real uncle is head manager of dainik bhaskar media and firstly i will expose u through daily newspaper.so please its an humble request from me that solve my problem as quickly as possible.

I got an airtel prepaid connection this month. Its number is [protected] and sim number is[protected]-1133. The moment I purchased the sim, they started my connection and I was enjoying the facility. But 4 days before they stopped my incoming call and after very next day they stopped my outgoing facility too. I was asked to submit my documents again, as I was told that due to negative verification they have stopped my services. I submitted my documents again at their Sahara Mall Office in Gurgaon on 20th August 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with ticket number [protected]. But, still my calling is barred.
i stay in banglore and while i was coming 2 m home town inorder 2 reduce the std rates i got a recharge done on my ASA STD VOICE BAL RS 222 and i got the talktime 4r RS 333 but since then whenever i made an std call the voice bal reduced only once with RS 332 and after that my std balance was reducing 4rm my current balance which was RS 165. I have been unable 2 make or recieve any calls or send messages .AND when i got a recharge done again the amount of recharge increased the voice bal to RS665. i have been making complains regularly and have not got any reply . this is a horrible situation as i have not attended 2 a lot of imp phone calls. i think i should take this complain to the consumer forum if no action is taken.this was not expected from airtel.

I Myself Mr. Amol Dharma Kshirsagar, Airtel`s prepaid customer I have been availing Airtels valued service since Aug 2008 on mobile no +91-[protected] which comes under scheme named “Mobile compus pack”, I am from pune (Maharashtra)

Actually, I never wished to write a complaint letter to well reputed & established entity who really gives a wonderful service with great effort in every respect along with all possible facilities.

But, this is how may complaint incident started, from last few days I was suspicious about call charges so i thought to check out whether I have been charged correctly or not ? on12th Dec 2008 as per my mobile clock timing I called on an Airtel mobile no +91-[protected] at exact 3.54 pm means At beginning of 55th minutes and completed conversation at exact 3.57 pm means at starting of 58th minutes therefore sum comes like this (58-55=3) total three minutes were utilized by me but got charged by Rs 4/- for which i must have been charged only Rs 3/- in respect of scheme selected .it was really very embarrassing situation when someone make fool where you trust most for money and service.

Therefore, I immediately called Airtel customer care service no.121, where I spoke to a male CCE on my first call who treated me very rudely, arrogantly on the queries related charges, after deep explanation on issue I convinced him and then he replied that it usually happens by mistook and we would soon credit my Airtel account by Rs 1/- now you tell me, how it can be a satisfactory response, still he kept arguing on issue without being positive to fact & cut the line using vague language.

Afterwards I had to call again, to know real matter, this time a female CCE was on line, I gave her my mobile number and explained what happened, on reply she said that you called earlier and Rs 1/- had been refunded to your account and rest Rs 2.50/- would be credited soon for last extra cut charges and this is what update I could see in your Account on screen at the moment then I thanked her for action taken and heartily requested to convey this call charges query to senior authority so that they could take necessary steps and she agreed and we closed conversation by greeting each other, this time all went fine.

But nothing stopped at this point, again I started to receive SMS on my mobile on same day(12th Dec2008) around 6.08 pm to till 8.14 pm by Airtel, in that particular time altogether I received 5 (five) SMS which shows that I have activated following services


SMS 1(Airtel) –missed call alert plus is now active on your mobile received alerts when ur mobile is switched off, not reachable, to deactivate sms MCANO 501

SMS 2- ([protected])- congratulation on subscribing to the on demand service you have been charged Rs 30/- for 30mins of your favorite music for 30 days, to unsubscribe call 54321300

SMS[protected] –congratulation your MCA plus service has been successfully charged Rs 15/-on 12-12 Enjoy the Airtel service, to deactivate sms MCANO to 501.

SMS[protected]congratulation for starting Hello tunes (HT), subscription charges are Rs 30/- month stop HT by calling[protected], toll free,

SMS[protected]thank you for downloading “bhains ki pappi” as your hello tune, dail 543211 for the latest hello tunes (call charges Rs 3/-mins)

Now I don’t understand what kind of reply Airtel expect from me to say for service which I didn’t ask to active or asked any one to get activated and for which Airtel has already charged me Rs 75/- now there is negative balance Rs (-) 15.17 INR, I don’t want to be a victim for all charges .

I am terrifically suffering for all unwanted service provided by Airtel and charging me a lot, I request “Airtel Higher Authority” to look into matter and solve my extra calling charges, and balance related queries at earliest

I have been calling Airtel for the last 15 days for one small query, i.e. my mobile no.[protected] is not been able to send a sms to 5667711(special short code number). Everyday, i am calling customer care & getting a same reply i.e. your query will be solved within 24 hrs. I have spoken to 3 different incharge of your customer care department. The reply is that the issue would be sorted out within 9 working hrs. I have been made to wait for 30 odd mins several times keeping me on hold. I just can not understand this. Please refer the below communications received from customer care number 121.

Airtel Prepaid — Bad Customer Service

The AIRTEL prepaid customer service is the worst customer service i have come across. They do not reply proerly to our queries and their solutions are not satisfactory. Moreover they disconnect the call half way when we are complaining. We request you to take stern action against them.
