Airtel Prepaid — False activation and charged for it | |||
I am apalled at the kind of trickery Airtel seems to be playing. I was charged Rs 10 for some kind of subscription that I did not authorize. On calling customer care they blame me for it. On asking them how was the subscription made they just say it’s showing on their system that the service has been activated and that I activated it. And the funniest thing is they charge us, customers, for calling their customer care numbers at 50 paise per 3 mins earning money in every which way they can. I spent Rs 2 while on hold listening to that stupid music and when the customer rep gets to me he says he can't do anything about the matter. Whatever be the case one thing is certain - I am not going to stay with Aitel anymore. Oh by the way the sms I received was from their very (ill)famous number 54321 - complaints of which are in abundance on https://www.consumercomplaints.in. If any government authority can do something about it and are willing to look into this matter, I implore you to please look into this matter. Since this site is available to anyone and everyone I don’t feel like leaving my mobile number here. I just want to bring this issue to the attention of everyone.
