[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid Mobile Service — Automatic Deduction of Balance - VAS Easy search

Am using AirTel Prepaid mobile service for past 6 years. For My mobile No.[protected], for last couple of month account balance have being deduced automatically stating VAS - Easy search has been used. I was not using any of the VAS services. Amount has being deduced without any my knowledge and not got any intimation(Not got any prompt messages or SMS regarding this) about amount deduction. I was unaware about this services and amount has been debiting constantly from my account.

When i accidentally checked on (17/11/2012) about last 5 value added service details, I was shocked to see 1.5 Rs has being deduced constantly for past few days. I am unaware totally how much amount has been debited from my account till now.

I contacted AirTel customer care on 18/11/2012 and notified about my problems.Ref.no.CBDWP[protected]. But again on 19/11/2012 an amount of 1.50Rs has been debited for using VAS Easy search. Again i Lodged a complaint with them Ref.no.CBDWP[protected] on 20/11/2012. again on 20/11/2012 and 22/11/2012 amount of 1.50Rs has deducted from my account.

when i tried contacting AirTel Customer support on 22/11/2012, I could able to Connect them. Again i lodged a complaint using another mobile (could able to contact now. How weird!) Ref.no.CU[protected].

Really Fed up calling them and they could not able to resolve my complaint. even i contacted their Zonal officers and yet my issue is not been resolved.

Am using Nokia 6030 which do not have any advanced Internet options but GPRS settings. I have change all my setting such that none of my configuration pointing AirTel mobile office settings. Also have Made service messages option OFF. There is no possibility of connecting to GPRS.

Please help me in resolving this issue and credit all my debited amount from my account. I don't know how much amount they will be debiting in future until issue resolved completely.

Airtel Prepaid Mobile Service — Barred Outgoing Calls to my mobile no.9789741148 even having provided all proof and everything.

Dear Sir,

I Got a prepaid mobile Connection and was using almost upto 15 days, during the address verification my labour attended and gave the wrong details. so my outgoing calls are barred by service proveder, So I went to the nearest service proveder (turaiyur) and gave the proof 3 times subsiquently. They Promised to me to activate my outgoing call. But till now my mobile number is not activated since last 45 days.So kindly i ask you to take the necessosary action to the people who are not taken the correct actions.The mobile no i recieved from the nearest dealer at turaiuyur is [protected].
my cell phone was lost past few days ago and i have also a fir report of that and i want aduplicate simcard of my number which is [protected]

my airtel prepaid number which is [protected] was lost past few days ago i have a FIR report of that also and i want u to disconnect that chip because it may be miss used and i also want a duplicate simcard of same number so please reply me as-soon-as posible this number was issued on my mothers id proof (Mrs.ASHA RANI).

Airtel Prepaid Mobile Service — Unauthorized Deductions for Christian/Prayer Alerts

I am constantly getting SMS from 543212 and 64611007 from Airtel Live regarding charges of Rs 7 for some Services which I have not subscribed to . They are regularly deducting the amount for the same. I've also complained to 198 and they are still doing the same for more than 3 weeks .Customer care representatives are hanging the Phone now instead of taking any action .
I need to know how to get them stop these deductions every Sunday.

this to inform you that i am using airtel prepaid connection([protected]) from last 2/1/2 yrs, i never used or asked for any kind of service comes under airltel live...not even i respond to any SMS or promotional calls from airtel even then i'm receiving msgs from these # 564605/53030 and i am keep on unsubscribing again and again and they subscribed me twice a day .they are deducting rupees 5/ per subscription and Rs.3 to unsubscribe...plz stop this procedure n be sure tat it wont happen in future...otherwise i'll change my connection.

I am Pankaj Joshi, I stay in Dombivli in Kalyan Taluka of Thane District in Maharshtra. Currrently I am using Airtel telecom service. I am using this service from last 2 years, whenever I try to use my service..it has very poor coverage..i am airtel prepaid customer..so customers like us keep faith by paying for the calls which we are going to use in future..we always hope that whenever we pay to airtel it will give us good service..but it doesnt happen..we dont even know the exact location of the headoffice..if at all we call the customer service they just give us the complaint numbers and nothing happens..and frustated customers like us just loose our patience and cannot stop ourself by giving bad words to those customer service agents..we dont know where to speak about this..because there is no one to hear us..customers like us dont even know where to complain..and who is the only trusted authority to fight against such crimes..if at all we file a case against it it will not affect these companies because they are too much richer than any airtel customer..so they can easily fight or defend themselves in court..sorry I dont know where to write a complaint on TRAI site..so please dont delete this mail...please please take some action..every common man is frustrated by such false services..

Airtel Prepaid Mobile Service — VRS download messages charging

Hi,

Airtel is continously sending me messages "VRS download" even though I don't need. Even if I donot read the messages they are charging 3 Rs per SMS.

I even went to the Airtel shop and fought with the call center guys and got 30Rs reversed but they still keep sending those messages and charging 3Rs. Sometimes 10 messages per day. This has to stop.

Airtel Prepaid Mobile Service — Shirking responsibility.

I purchased an Airtel SIM at Chennai two years back and have been regularly using it, activating and recharging at chennai only at local call rates. The mobile No. being [protected] in my name. Now after losing my mobile, I called Airtel to inform this loss of SIM card and also, to block it. But to my surprise, the Chennai Airtel customer care washed off their hands saying that this number belongs to Assam region and I have to call them to block it. I unsuccessfully tried to obtain the Assam Airtel customer care, but the Airtel Chennai gave me, instead, Punjab and Reliace customer care phone nos. but not Assam Customer care of Airtel.

Now, I wonder how safe mobile operator is, when I am able to purchase their Assam SIM at Chennai with ID and address proof of chennai and also, how I have been using it without roaming?? God only can give answers to these, and I wonder now that our country is reeling under terrorist attacks with SIMs bought under pseudo names in one state and is able to activate in another state!! God save India!!!

Airtel Prepaid Services — VAS

To whomsoever it may concern,
I regret to bring to your notice that i have trying to deactivate the VAS services but all gone in veins.. also tried calling customer care still not getting throuh... i have being debited for things which i have not activated also,
I get messages you have being activated for some service for few days and then after few days i get another message, stating the service is activated as you didnt reply to the message and then 10 rs is debited...
Thus i request you to stop all the VAS services like : spicy jokes, Matrimony and what not as soon as possible.
Also request you department not to disturb with this service offers.

I am also facing the same problem. Airtel is constantly deducting money from my prepaid against the services which i never subscribed for.

Airtel — unfai trade pratices

I bought digital TV on 5 Oct. 2009 from local retailer at panipat under scheme 1790/-. what Airtel employee did that he activated another package without my consent of Rs 600/- (approx.) which in-turn deactivated my services because of -ve balance. I think it was a trick to make money. After a lot of complaints and emails to CCE
they are just escalating the problem and raising fingers at each other internally.
my complaints no. are - 1230059,1224540,1215104, on the same issue.
Currently my services are deactivated bcz of -ve Rs. 600 balance.

Airtel — Deducting amount regularly from cellphone without any reason

Sir,

I am a customer of Airtel Mobile phone service and my number is [protected]. But since few months often (daily two/three times) I am receiving messages from Airtel that a sum of 30 paise is being deducted for last call / SMS, although I do not know about this call/SMS.

Please note that I do not have any other facility for which they can deduct amount and also I never use internet etc. Except me nobody uses my phone.

I talked over phone with the Airtel Customer Care regarding this, but their reply is not satisfactory. Sometimes they tranfer the line to the higher authority, where always music goes on for a long time and ultimately cuts the line.

I request you to kindly do the needful and take necessary action against AIRTEL so that this type of incident will not happen in future.

Airtel Prepaid Mobile Service — Services withdrawn unnecessarily

I bought the Airtel Prepaid Connection on Jan1-2009 and submitted the documents required for address and identity proof. Now after 11 months have passed Airtel has withdrawn the services on my number and has pushed me unnecessaily into problem. Due to this i m unable to receive my important calls. On registering the complaint on phone (8th Dec-09) and at customer care centre (9th Dec-09) and depositing once again the documents, i was surprised when they conveyed that services will resume only after 5 days/15th Dec. This was very strange, even being the genuine consumer completing all the formalities required, the consumer is at the mercy of service provider. Will Airtel take the responsibility of losses i would incur due to their negligence of duty ("As they said documents were not found o.k during audit- so we withdrew services"-that too without even talking to me once).They misplaced my identity proofs/address proofs (as i have deposited the same docs which i deposited in Jan) and i am suffering due to them.
