[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — Money getting deducted periodically even without usage.

I recharged my prepaid card on 02 Oct 10 for Rs.100 for which there was a talktime of about Rs.85/- (I don't remember the figure exactly). I was taken by shock to note that my amount had reduced to Rs.20/- despite the fact that I had made hardly 4 to 5 calls for only few minutes over a period of 5 days. When I contacted the customer care center, one fellow said that some message service pertaining to actor Vijay was found activated and therefore the reduction in tariff was effected. He said that everything was sorted out at the other end and there wouldn't be any problem in the future. But I found that was getting a standard indication in my mobile 'unable to access server' and 'DNS service not available', which I'm not aware of the terminology even now. The first fellow's name was Balaji.

I was again taken aback to find that the deduction was continuing and nearing to Rs.10/-. I contacted the Customer care once more and started narrating the same problem to some other fellow, the reply which was not convincing. I asked him to connect me to his senior officer and he connected me to one Mr.Mariya Doss. He told me that an internet connection was found activated in my mobile and hence the charges were deducted at 30 paise per usage. He instructed me to make some changes in my mobile which I did at his behest. Even then the problem wouldn't solve.I thought I'll speak with somebody and exhaust the amount as anyway the money would be looted my airtel. I nullified the amount after speaking to one of my known acquaintances. I requested for the number of Mariadoss, which he gave as [protected] as I cannot be repeating the same episode to everybody. The best point is that I never browse over internet in my mobile. And in-spite-of that I double checked everything is inactive as far as internet operations are concerned. Even then I would get the same messages like ' DNS Service not available' and 'Unable to access server'. How could it be when I'm not using any internet service and everything has been supposedly deactivated at their end? Alas! Mariadoss wouldn't lift his mobile even after making scores of calls. Is it the way Airtel operates? Shame on Airtel.

I later went to Airtel customer care center near Trichy bus stand only to find that nobody knows the technicality of the subject and I had to speak over the hotline from there to the same fools, who pose themselves as customer care representatives over phone. Wah Airtel ! Now a lady by name Pushpa comes in and asks me about the problem and I go wild. How many times I have to explain the problem to several people? She was sportive enough to hear all my tempered words and finally guarantees that everything is OK now and I can rest assured go ahead with my recharge. I asked her what happens if again my amount gets deducted automatically. She said that she is pretty sure that the problem has been resolved and she would give me a credit if the problem persisted. Taking her words for granted, I purchased a Rs.10/- card and gave a try. The devil is back. Within 2 hrs of charging, I found that the amount has reduced to Rs. 4.20 out of talktime of Rs.6/-. Pl.note that I haven't made any external calls by then. Again everytime I find the message 'unable to access server', I find 30 paise being deducted from my account.

Again I give a try to the mobile number [protected] supposedly belonging to some Cynthia, who is the nodal officer in Airtel. This number was given by Pushpa after my repeated questioning. I tried to check out the status of the cast iron guarantee given my 'Pushpa the great' . And now comes another female 'Vinitha' asking me to explain the same history once more. I shout at her and say that she better rings me up at the earliest.I ask her about Pushpa and she says she sits somewhere else at some other place. Howzzatt? Vinitha apologizes and says she will get back to me immediately after settling the problem and there is no mention about 'Cynthia'. I wait for her call and as usual typical of shameless bunch of Airtel group, she never rings me up. I thought I'll try from my side. Alas! I find the same music ringing but people to no avail. Shame on you Airtel, living like a parasite on others money without providing any service. My money out of the balance Rs. 4.20 is rapidly decreasing. What do I do Mr. Sunil Mittal? Should I say shame on you too because of the inefficiency of your staff?

Is there any reprieve at all from Airtel?

These are the things they are adopting from last 3 to 4 years for making money and making fool of customers, I am also facing the same problems.
Now I am planing to switch to someother service provider,

On[protected] I recharged for Rs.100/- and my account was debited for Rs.10/- for freinds chat. On enquiry from the customer care they told that "you have given the request" but I had not given such kind of request. The manner in which they talked to me was not good. The Name of the person I talked was Mr. Manjit Singh, Senior Customer executive. He should be fired, he dont know how to talk the customer. I stongly urge u to take this matter to higher ups.

I have received a lot of message from Airtel.

1.) 6.00 pm on that time i was travelling in the bus i received a message Your Rs. 15 is deducted for AIrtel night radio.

2) Today morning at 9.25 am While I am travelling in the bus from Home to my office I got a 3 message devotional alert. and your Rs. 30 charged for it.

I haven't touch my mobile. And customer care says You alert your service your self. So I pray to to U plz. return my talk time. I dont have money to recharge my mobile.

So plz. expsdite.

i am airtel customer from 2-3 years. till date no problem but on dt. 14/04/10 my all balance washedout.
talking with airtel customer executive they tell me that i have used airtel live on 14/04/10 at 07:02 Am to 09:07 Am, so they minus the balance. but i can'ot use airtel live not even i got any message regarding this.
this seemed that airtel is very poor. and how much money airtel make like this. today i disappointed and i tell this to my all friends & other persons that airtel did like this. VERY POOR AIRTEL.

Airtel — privacy not guaranteed to customers from airtel

had asked your showroom people to cancel the line in month of January which was not done & there was some 236rs pending because of airtel's negligence
know what disgusting pathetic & cheap work today done by aitel's marketing team they had opened my bills checked my calling list & had called all of my friends & relatives whose number is been dialed from [protected] i am getting continuous calls from my friends & relatives asking why they have been called inquiring about me i am really so much upset because of this unprofessional behavior from brand like AIRTEL that i will in future suggest all of my friends & relatives not to take up a AIRTEL connection as AIRTEL IS NOT AT ALL CONCERNED ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS PRIVACY an airtel employee can access your call list check them & circulate them & can play with those numbers which you have dialled they call them & trouble all of our friends & relatives i want every one know wot sought of torture & insult i am facing after being associated with AIRTEL
when asked airtel marketing executive how did she get contact details of my friends & relatives airtel marketing executive said me that she opened my bills of last 4months checked frequently dialed number & called them
want immediate action against this & an apology from airtel to me & to my far relative who was been disturbed since morning by airtel.

Airtel Mobile Prepaid — AIRTEL charging money for unknown reasons

I'm using AIRTEL (Bangalore, Karnataka). These guys are charging things unnecessarily. I don't even know the reason why they are charging. I had recharged for a Full TT of Rs.333. After two days, I got a message from AIRTEL stating that "[B]Thanks for downloading 1170 iCoins from Airtel. You have been charged [U]Rs. 199[/U]. Enjoy Models Club http://203.115.112.5/SM/[/B]". I din't open any thing from my mobile, I got a BB connection of my own in my home. Airtel is Such a Cheat.

I called to the customer care and asked regarding this. They told that I opened up some link and thats why the money got deducted. I din't open any damn links. I even don't have got the browser settings on my mobile for browsing internet. The same problem happened a month back but the money deducted was like around 3 or 6 Rs & so i din't took it seriously. I left that problem without complaining. But this time they have gone too far.

Customer care told that they have registered the complaint and gave the ref.[protected] and told that they will call within 20th of this month & if the problem is on their side they will refund the amount. How will they accept that the problem is on their side. They keep on saying that I have clicked the link and thats why it got deducted.

My AirTel No. is [protected] I am having a prepaid connecction. I just got a message that I have been charged Rs. 10/- for using Auto subscription from Airtel whcih I did not. It seems there is something wrong in the system of AirTel and for which the customers have to pay. I afraid in future I may have to face similar problem as faced with the above customer.

Will AirTel look into the matter and credit the above amount to my account?

Airtel Prepaid — DEDUCTION OF Rs.10/-

I am an airtel prepaid customer, my no is [protected](Punjab). On dated 18/08/2010 at 15:21:12 I received a message from 54321 that "YOU HAVE BEEN RENEWED FOR ROMANCE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE FROM AIRTEL.YOU HAVE BEEN CHARGED RS.10/-." When I contacted Airtel complaint number 198 and talked with Mr.Ravi (Senior Executive - As told by him) for this unwanted forcily deduction of amount at 20:30 PM on 18/08/2010, then he showed his inabilty for the cause of deduction of amount, but agreeed to get me the amount in AIRTEL Prepiad account reversed. I insisted him and asked him to tell me the reason for harrasing me with such type o[censored]nwanted deduction otherwise I will report the matter in consumer forum. In reply to this he asked me to go ahead with your complaint to consumer forum.

Airtel Prepaid — deducting money without any usage

airtel prepaid is always having technical problems with them they deduct customer money without any usage and if the the customer tries to call them and ask abt it they give various excuses they all are highly unproffesional and the worst provider and above all the customer care executives are unethical and i they all are just 10th pass out from hindi medium schools on minimum salaries as they dont have enough money to hire qualified people thats why they are deducting money from customer acconts and earning a huge amount doing this fraud..........pooor company looser .........[protected]

there is auto deduction of 30 paise from my account daily. i have tried contacting airtel customer many times but i have received the most painful experience as followed

1) they drop your call.
2) some times they say there is no such deduction in our record.
3) they registered complain which has no meaning and it never get resolved.
4) not i am trying to call customer care to know status of my complain, from last 4 days i am getting response that "The is temporary conjunction in this route, please call after some time"


now i feel like suing airtel in consumer forum.

AirTel — Failure of charge even after deducting money from my account

Myself Madhu.G.R. have made a online recharge to my airtel number([protected]) using my icici account. The money have been deducted and even i got sms about successful recharge, but my account is not been increased.

I have Airtel connection([protected]). Paise 30 is being deducted every 10 or so minutes. Reasons unknown. My balance is declining every 10 minutes. HEY, What is happening? Same thing with my wife's number ([protected]). A message appear stealthily to announce deduction of Paise 10 every 10 minutes. This is broad day light robbery and amounts to Consumer Cheating. Tell us how to stop this. your consumer Cell HQ, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore is totally non responsive and useless.

So much rubbish happens on airtel and so often. We get so many promo messages. We do not want them. They are intruding our privacy. They disturb by giving false alarms, while driving or concentrating on some work. Our money and time is being wasted. We are fed up.

Also tell us how to migrate to some other other more efficient network provider without changing the number, and get out of Airtel Trap.

Hey, Bharathi, Mittal are you listening or just making money, by cheating gullible public.

Airtel prepaid mobile — deducting of money automatically though not downloaded

I received a message and money was deducted Rs 99/- for down load of some game which I never did. This happened second time. On receipt of 1st message I had lodged complaint but not yet been resolved. Plz help me

i find this is a common problem with Airtel and it start draining the common man's pocket by somre means.Inspite of any complaints no action is taken. and we do not know how to go one step ahead of their heiarchy to rectify this draining out.
