[Resolved]  ALTO — Noise while turning

I am having a Maruti Alto 2006 model did 57435 Kms. Recently I noticed a sound while taking turns. I showed the car to service person at Indus motors, Calicut. They after checking informed that the axle is making sound. I am having EXTENDED WARRANTY also for this car. But they refused to replace the axle under warranty. When I checked the manuals it is clearly written also that axle bearing are covered. Kindly advise.

ALTO — Breakage of STEERING

the stearing of Alto car (HP 03B 0381) MODEL NO. MRF 308 CHASSIS NO.0323611 , ENGINE NO. 4099998, DATE OF DELIVERY 26/12/2005 FROM GOYAL MOTORS , SHIMLA has broken irregularly.

ALTO — Misbehavior from the executive

Dear sir,

I am here for my brother Mr Roy C Thomas[KL45B8193] who has been cheated by the sales executive Mr Lijo of Popular Motors, Cochin.To say about the full things happened, my brother thought of buying a brand new vehicle for his personal use and me being a user of more than 2 Maruthi vehicles recommended the Alto for him and contacted M/s Popular motors, Mamangalam for it.To say frankly let me say the first approach before delivery was ok and later on the problem started up with the delivery time. We have booked the vehicle on15/09/2008 and invoice was printed on 17/09/2008 and was committed the delivery date as 20/09/2008.We got a call on the day that the vehicle cannot be delivered on that day due to some unavailability of parts and assured us to deliver it on 22/09/2008.As my brother is staying in Chalakkudy, Thrissur dist, he started from there in the morning for taking the delivery from popular and when he reached almost Edappally, he got a call from the executive Mr Lijo that it cannot be delivered on the day also and my brother without saying any thing went back to his house. On that day you people can just imagine about his feelings that his family and neighbors all were waiting for the car. After that on 24th we got the vehicle by 10.30am, while the committed time was before 10am.As we are taking the new vehicle we didn’t say anything and took the vehicle.

Also at the time of enquiry Lijo committed to send an executive with us for registration purposes and the same was not done on the day of delivery and told us to go and do the registration and gave back the cash RS 7000, which they have bought for the same.But we could not accept the same and we rejected and at that time Lijo after discussions gave us Rs14000 and told us that if any thing more comes they will refund us the amount. Even though we had a bad experience with them we believed and took the vehicle. After registration, insurance & tax the total amount was RS15000/- and the same was informed to Lijo and he committed us to give back the 1000rs on the next week.
But am very sorry to say that his attitude against this is the worst and he is now saying that after delivery the team leader and executive has no responsibility for the same. In his conversation he is using most abuse words a gentleman can’t able to hear and I thought of taking this to police as I recorded his conversation with me. If the company not takes this in at most serious I will take this to consumer court. But as a maruti vehicle holder I feel this esteemed company will look into this matter with out any delay.

I FEEL VERY SORRY TO WRITE TO YOU REGARDING THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE GIVEN BY POPULAR MOTORS.


Expecting top officials immediate attention to this case awaiting a reply for this at the earliest.

ALTO — bad free service camp

hi sir.. today v came for free service camp at maruthi ambal show room at tiruchi road, coimbatore.
very poor body wash, no complete check up, no oil top up, A/C checking there was no response from the staff members. please take necessary actions for their poor checking of the vechiles...

ALTO — Negligence in discharging service responsibilities.

I own an Alto and have never missed a service date.

One fine morning I find that the car is dead for want of electrolyte in the battery. So I checked the service manual and found that the service station had placed a tick mark on 'battery check' & 'electrolyte check' every time I had sent the vehicle for service.

I ended up purchasing a new Exide battery for 3050/-

All the four services were done at the same point (service dealer code # 4701) INDUS MOTORS.

I have written repeatedly to the management at the service station but to no avail. The point is I have had to spend money out of my pocket because of their negligence and so I will need to be compensated.
