[Resolved] Autorickshaw — Excess Fare Demand,Threatening and Tampered Meter | |||
I have had two bitter experiences recently with two auto drivers.As I am a usual auto traveller from Indiranagar to Bannerghatta road ,I know that the rate in meter comes around 80-85.One day,the meter was showing 120 Rs.I argued with the driver and I said I will complain this to police.He said you can go and complain and go to the court daily because there is no proper law for this.Also he threatened me like If you complain you will end up in trouble.Also this driver didnt have Khakhi uniform and his auto was not displaying the License display board. Auto Number - KA 03 7585 Similar incident happened when the meter showed 110 and driver demanded 170 from Bannerghatta road to Indiranagar and he started abusing me when i argued and even was ready to hit me. I had a bitter experience recently with auto driver.As I am a usual auto traveller from Shettihalli Cross to AGB layout(Hesaraghatta Main road).Most of the auto guys, they dont come on meter. They ask fixed amount that is 60INR. every time you meet the different auto driver, they charge differently.
When I informed him about complaining, He said you can complain and he tol dme to get out of the auto. I want the necessary action to be taken against :Auto Registration Number - KA 02 AC 1641 .
Looking at the response of the driver, i felt ashamed that he knows how our government works.
I hope necessary action would be taken against these person.

Auto Rickshaw — Meter Tampered & Driver abused
This regarding the tampering of meter of autoricksaw no. KA01 A 9205. We girls had to travel from Jayanagar 9th Block to ISRO Layout. The charge is usually 50 Rs. We had to tell the auto driver to stop at a dry cleaner shop near our destination for just 3-4 mins. We we got down from the auto, the charge was already 51 at that time. After 3-4 mins when we boarded the auto again the meter was 53. This shows that the meter was tampered. When we try to confront him he started abusing us saying we have not right to say that his meter is not working. The total meter came to 58 and he was not ready to give back 42 Rs. Instead he fought with us and abused us and wanted to charge 60Rs. We had to force him to give the money back for which he wanted to beat us up.
