[Resolved]  Autorickshaw — - excess demand, faulty meter of the auto and indecent behaviour of the auto driver

Today I had taken an auto (Reg KA 02 A 288) from Kaikondrahalli (off Sarjapur road, near Wipro Corporate Office) to Cambridge Road. The distance from Kaikondrahalli to Cambridge Road is hardly 13 kms. However, meter fare was close to Rs 150 ( which makes Rs 12-13 per km). I had explained the difference to the autodriver and agreed to pay Rs 100. The auto driver was not allowing me to get into the office and went on arguiing wth me for close to 30 minutes. Finally i agreed to pay him Rs 120. He also behaved indecently and tried to snap away my mobile phone when i tried to take down his registration number. The security and housekeeping guys at the buildings opposite to Frank Anthony Public School are witnesses to this. The auto driver further threatened me to deal later when he finds me at the same junction. It is pretty sad to note that there is no stringent rules against such meter tampering and indecent behaviour. I want strict actions to be taken against this case. The distance between the boarding point and destination point (FAPS) can be verified and the case described above can also be confirmed with witness to the above (being the security in charge and housekeeping guys of Mindteck/Meru office).
