I am sub inspector pioneer employees of government of india ministry of home affairs shastra sima bal. I want a new connection of bharat ges in bharat ges agency vamikinagar district westchamparan bihar in his regard sud deale is say to provide Rs6000 /-so that provide new connection.

Hi sir,

When I went to him buy new connection from him, he asked for Rs 5300/- for new gas connection.
This amount include charges of one cylinder, regulator, stove, a press(as scheme from him to sell with new connection for rs 675/-) and a1 kg tea.
When I told him I don't need all those extra items like stove, press etc and it is not mandatory for consumer to buy all these from distributor. He start shouting and said we don't sell the connection without this and it is mandatory with new connection. When I asked him to show me the govt policy where it is mentioned then he denied to show. Also denies to give me a receipt for 5300/- rs even if I go with the amount for which he is selling a new connection.

as per my knowledge following is the charges available online ...

The Security Deposit applicable for Cylinder and Domestic Pressure Regulator (DPR) are as under:

Type of Equipment Deposit Amount in Rupees
14.2 Kg Cylinder ( for all States except North Eastern states) 1450/-
Domestic Pressure Regulator ( for all States except North Eastern states) 150/-
14.2 Kg Cylinder ( for North Eastern States) 1150/-
Domestic Pressure Regulator ( for North Eastern States) 100/-

The applicable charges for various services are as under:
Nature of Services Service Charges w.e.f 18.7.2013( Rs. )
Inspection of hotplate at the time of release of connection if the hotplate purchased from source other than the LPG distributor 250
Mechanic Visit charges for other than leakage complaint 75
Installation / Demonstration charges of new connection 50
Administrative charge for release of additional cylinder 50
Mechanic charges for mandatory inspection of domestic installation 75
Administrative charge of issuance of DGCC including cost of DGCC 50


The Bharatgas connection will be released to you immediately on completion of required formalities. At the time of installation of the connection in your kitchen, please allow the Distributor's staff to demonstrate how to use the LPG equipment.

my question is that why distributors asking more money ...
