[Resolved]  Birla Sun Life Insurance Co Ltd — NO TOLL FREE NUMBER- IT CHARGE FROM MY ACCOUNT

As per birla sunlife insurance company mail dated January 30, 2009 which state that "For any
further information or assistance, please feel free to contact us between 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. IST [Monday to Saturday] on our toll-free numbers
[protected] and[protected], or on[protected] [non toll-free]" . I
made a call at their customer care centre on presumtion that phone no. given
by them is a toll free no. and no charges will be levied from my mobile
balance account .


On Saturday[protected] at 7:03Pm I made a call at their (birla sunlife insurance company) toll free no.
[protected] from my mobile phone i.e. [protected] . By assuming that it is a
free call i made from my mobile but my prepaid balance get reduced. I
contact my telephone operator i.e relance communciation they told me that it
is not a free number and this number is free on MTNL/BSNL phones.And also
told me that the birla sunlife people cheated me. And told me to contact the
Birla sunlife people.

Then i again contact at the customer care of the birla sunlife regarding the
same problem. They told me that they are help less and told me to contact my
telephone operator i.e relance communciation ltd.


I feel very bad, cheated that my prepaid balance has been deducted from
account. I trust the birla sunlife but they people cheate me.

I want my money back.

If i know that the number given my you is not a toll free number, i will
call you from my MTNL number.

I want to know the procedure for taking the toll free number. Who are
eligble for the same ? And who will pay to the telpehone service provider
for their calls ?

Please help.

Please do something.

I check the balance but there are so many people who do not check the
balance. So will cheat so many people by advertising that it is a toll free
number.

I have contact to the customer care at birla sunlife, they people do not understand my problem.

i just want to know that where i can search my policy number.please give me reply soon.

I have been recently taken insurance policy in your company but so far i am not getting the login Id ie.Mid & tid No.So i kindly request you to look into this matter and send me the login Id to view the status of policy statement.

Hi Dear, Its clearly written there that its toll free for MTNL andnot for mobiles. u should have not called from ur mobile. Birla sulife agents r cheat i faced this and they take away tghe cheques and misuse in for their perosnal needs
Birla Sun Life has very smart agents who come to your door stesps when the insurance target for them is to be completed and when the surrender value is to be returned they need all the information on earth before giving you the information. After hearing the about the refund value they will not at all entertain you and not even try inform you in case if you have any problem in surrending the value. I am calling your call center since last three days as soon as your agent hears that they have to provide the information regarding the surrender of the value they try and harass the customer as much as they can one of the agent banged the phone down. Please review your sevices Birla has a great name in the market just dont wash of with such poor services shown. And if nothing can be done atleast say know to people who coming to your place to ask for new policies.
