[Resolved]  BMTC, Bangalore — Rash driving by local bus drivers.

sir/madam

I boarded on saturday bus route no-314 near Bangalore central stop. The driver was driving the bus very rashly and due to his mistake the bus collided with a truck just passing by and whole of the window was broken and came whole on me and one of my friend due to which we suffered minor cuts but this would have been even worse and nobody took an account of this , the driver nor the conductor apologised or so and started driving again in the same way . I think they are used to it as they didn't even talk properly to the passengers . So kindly look into it .
The bus no was --> KA-01-F-3867
TIME OF BOARDING ---->> Around 5 in the evening ,Near bangalore central to Kaggadasapura.

Hi,

We the employees o[censored]B City are suffering because of inconvinience of BMTC Buses. Near to UB City(Next to Corporation Circle), there is a school stop(Near Mallya Hospital), but busses wont stop there. Even after requesting also we get harsh response from BMTC Staff(Driver/Conductor). Because of this, even school childrens are suffring. Kindly take it up on priority and suggest your staff to give stop in school stop.

sir/madam

I travelled on Tuesday, March 04, 2008 from Dairy Devasthana to BMTC Bus stop. In the Pushpak Bus, driver cum conductor, the ticket is Rs. 7/- or 8/- but he took Rs. 14/- from Dairy Devasthana to BMTC Bus stop. Because I asked him Ticket. He took the money from me Rs. 10/- he kept with him and he did not give me ticket I asked him the ticket so he told that give more Rs 4/-. most of the Drivers & Conductors do the same So kindly look into it .

Thanks.
Timing of the bus: 8.30 am.
Route or pick up point anandapuram playa

In a crowded bus conductor keeps moving through the ladies even though he can get down and collect the ticket.
Hereby requesting BMTC to provide shelter in the wonderla gate bus stop. since more than 30 people are standing in the bus stop during evening there is no shelter during rainy season.Looking forward for the kind action for this request
Sir/Madam,

This is to bring in to your notice that the conductors and drivers in the BMTC buses are not giving the tickets even after taking money. But if we question them to give the tickets, they don’t respond and ask the passengers to get down from the bus. And the conductors and drivers do not have an amicable relationship with the passengers. We were 5 and traveling on 21st May 2008, from Benniganahalli to Tin Factory stop which is only Rs.3/ticket but the conductor said it was Rs.5/ticket and took Rs.25 for 5 tickets and did not give us the ticket saying it’s closed. Again I asked him the ticket, he said, I can’t give you the ticket, but if you need the ticket, I will return you the money and all the 5 can get down. But as it was raining, we could not get down. All most all the drivers & conductors do the same issue which is not good for the public.

Kindly look in to the matter so that the public can be free.

Dear SIr / Madam,
I am residing in Maruthi Nagar, Kogilu Main Road, Yelahanka.
I would like to bring in to your notice that, we do not have any Majestic or Market bus during 6.15am to 7.00am early morning.Due to this people residing in maruthi nagar are facing lot of problems.
I would request you to make necessary arrangements for either majestic or market bus during this time.
It is becoming very difficult especially for school and college students to travel at that time.
Kindly consider this and do the needful.

Bus no-2949-12c — Arrogant and dictatorial attitude of Bus conductor

I boarded the bus no 2949-12 C on[protected] in Padmanabhanagar 12-B bus stop at 7.27AM .I am a Pass holder bearing Pass no 050874.Finding no vacant seat Since the Bus was full with mostly school going children I chose to sit Sharing seat as a third member with two small children who on my request gladly allowed as I am 60 yrs old and had a heafty bag in my hand. The bus conductor on duty( The name of the conductor has been mentioned in the complaint lodged with the Public grivences cell at Kempegowda Bus station for onward transfer to Public relationsofficer based at central office Shantinagar with acopy to Managing Director BMTC)appeared on the scene and he without any provocation started shouting with a commanding, arrogant and dictatorial vioce that he will not allow to sit as a third member and cautioned me not to sit from tomorrow (as if he is taking me in his Private Bus witout any Money). As I was stunned with his head Master with a stick in his hand attitude towards students I reacted that I am a aged Person with a heafty bag in Hand can not stand till Magestic and witout causing any inconvenience to others and sitting within threshhold of seats edges I take journey.
He insisted in an arrogant, commanding and dictatorial voice that he will not allow in his Bus to sit as athird member.Though I Explained my difficulty he cautioned me that he will see"How You will sit from tomorrow".This naturally piched my feelings and I told him so long as no inconvenience to others is caused and BMTC rules are followed why the conductor should scratch his head and create unnecessary problems & stand arguing for no reason? and better he should look after his duty.At this juncture I would also like to mention that he after sometime was engaged in conversation with the driver and was saying to him"He will show to me who he is?"and thus has created a fear Psycho in me.He was also saying that he can departure the bus at his will at 7.45 or 8.00AM instead of 7.30 Scheduled time of departure and "who will aske me"Which implies his dictatorial attitude and discourteous behaviour with public. His attitude of arrogance.overriding Public, and his thinking that he can do as he likes and threatening the passenger reveals his "unbecoming of a Public servant"
Therefore I request The Managing Director BMTC to suitably instruct the said conductor and impress upon him that he is a public servant and Public are not his servants.Let him be adviced to behave smoothly and courtesiously with public.I would also like to bring a point at this Juncture that at the rate at which the rate of petrole is increasing, increase of traffic, accidents and pollution The general public like to travel through BMTC Buses but for the behaviour of such conductors(not all)Public prefer to use own vehicles.
A line in reply through e-mail is highly appreciated and bring credit to BMTC if suitable ation is taken in this regard

sir/madam,

I approched Malleswaram 18th Cross bustand for BMTC Monthly pass for the 1st time. They instrected to go to from Mallewaram Bangalore one for the same. I went to Bangalore one and I got the monthly pass also on[protected] for Rs.565/-.

On monday when I was returning from my office, I travelled KA-50 F-0007. The conductor asked me for the ID card. I showed my DL ID. He told that I should hold BMTC ID, which I was not aware of it. Note that, I have not told for BMTC ID card either at Mallewaram 18th Cross bustand or at Mallewaram Bangalore One.
Even after my request to the conductor that I am 1st time holder
he refused and asked me to take a ticket. I took a ticket and travelled further.

I would like to know that I you don't have a policy that monthly pass should not be issued without Valid ID card.

Whether this issue will be addressed by the BMTC top offical and take necessary action in this matter to avoid the confusion for the passengers for the monthly pass.

Thanks
S.Babu

We need the Buses 201-MBS 10 and 100 E to be reinstated immediately from Madiwala Masjid Noor to Residency Road intersection at the St.Patricks Bus Stop. These Buses were plying thorugh Madiwala-Masjid Noor previously and we were using these buses till last week.
The Plain 201 Buses travel along the said route, but between 8am & 8.30 am the buses are fully overloaded and the passengers hang on to the Footboard, which is illegal and dangerous.
If the buses 201 - MBS -10 and 100 E have been rescheduled, kindly do arrange to have more frequencies during the Peak Hours to enable the College Students to reach their Colleges, on time.
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Dear Sir,

There is Bus route between K.R.Market and Krishna Garden Route Number 220B. Frequecy of operation is once or twice in a week(not Day). Please concerned to look into the matter and make the bus to stick on the timing and regular on all days. This also make the public to adjust the timing and plan accordingly on their movement.
Bangalore is disgusting!
I boarded bus no T93 169790 from Shivajinagar at 9.40 am to want to go to Avenue Rd. I was not aware that I should have asked the conductor for Mysore Bank Stoppage- I said Avenue Rd. Cursing me in all kinds of ways in Kannada, he shouts at me to get off at the next stop. but I knew from previous experience that the Avenue Rd intersection is on the way to Majestic. A fellow passenger- a young lady told the conductor. When Mysore Bank Stop came, I did not know, and NOT A SINGLE PERSON said a word to me. The bus sped off till it reached Majestic. I could feel the petty pleasure the conductor and the driver as well as many others must have had in seeing me a fool! I come from Calcutta- a city of
extreme warmth and concern- where people go out of their way to help with directions. This city, for all the GREAT "Brand Bangalore" is simply obnoxious- when one cannot travel in a bus with dignity. All the more when I am a 54 yr old woman and these young rude xenophobic bus staff are less than half my age. In Calcutta, older people are accorded great respect in public buses. We are no where as GREAT as your city, but we have humanity which you lack. Shame on Bangalore!
Dear sir
Recently on request of janpriya Saidarshan appartment association members as well as nearby ressidential signature campaign OFFICE OF BMTC has issued granted letter and installed the bus stop opp. Janpriya sai darshan on kodgudi hoskote main road.
Unfortunatly The driver's of on this route are not stopping at this stop despite of vacant seat [no rush] in the bus. which is very much inconvienent to the senior citizon's. from this stop the Daily comuter plus senior's all to gether or almost more than 1000 one thousant in no facing this problem
I look forword to the officer's of BMTC to take needed action
thanks

Hello Team,

I stay with my family in Srirampuram (3rd cross). I was residing here since 1987.
Our only problem is our accesibility to Buses to Majestic, Shivajinagar and K.R.Market.

We have Five bus stops around Srirampuram:
1) Malleshwaram Circle (which is about 1KM away from where we stay). This bus stop hosts buses to all routes.

2) Devaiah Park (which is about 1KM away from where we stay). This bus stop hosts buses to all routes.

3) Link Road (this is about 1.5 KM to 2 KMs)
This bus stop hosts buses to all routes.

4) Bandireddy Circle (About 1 KM)
Buses only to Shivajinagar (However, it is very limited (probably 1 bus every two hours) )

5) Chowdeswari Temple bus stop (About 0.5 KM)
Buses only towards yeshwantpur and Chamarajpet.. (Very minimal)..

Our concern is that if we have to go to Majestic or some other place we either have to go to the first three bus stops or hire a auto.

We can hire a auto whenever it is very important and urgent, but not every time.

We have a bus which goes to yeswanthpur and comes back in the same route (90, 82A). This bus take s a left turn next to Sampige Theatre and comes up before turning right towards M.D.Block.(next to the railway bridge). and while coming back from Yeshwanthapuram it comes from 8th main to M.D.block and takes a left turn near the (near to the railway bridge).

My request is that, we need a stop here.. This will help a couple of hundreds at least to go to Majestic.

Please review all details and revert back for any concerns.

With Regards,
Arjun

dear sir,
It is an experience which happened 5 minutes back. I gave 50 rupees, he did nt return the money gave me the ticket for 6
rupees but he suddenly disappeared to back.the bus completely
free of passangers. when i asked him he gave me the change.
The same way another girl boarded from domlur, she
gave 10 rupees but did nt give ticket instead she got only change
when we said he gave the ticket to the girl. she got down kempfort. another girl boarded from kempfort, she has to go
to marthahalli. she gave 10 rupees but she got 9 rupees ticket
when she said it is only six rupees. he wrote 4 rupees behind
but did nt give at all. it was pathetic how she asks for that 4
rupees. another thing was the driver was driving rashly. some
how he escaped from 2 accidents. he and another bus driver
was enjoying driving simply talking and enjoying this.
bus no route is to marthahalli
my boarding bus no is ka 01-fa 915
other bus no is kao1- 1014
dear sir,

there are so many instances of cheating in bmtc buses on tickets
and there are some buses conductors exchanging tickets in the
same bus. how it happens when the passenger is about to
getdown from the bus, collect the ticket and give it to any other
person. it mostly happens in new pass not allowed buses.plz
kindly find these things.
thanks,
kiran
