2.Rough Behaviour.
All most all the bus drivers & conductors are behaving in so rough way as if we are travelling free of cost. When we behave in a proper way, in return we'll expect the same response. For small small things they 'll ask us to get down.

SPECIALLY BEHAVIOUR IS SO RUDE FOR NON-KARNADIGAS.

So i expect some action regarding this.

Thanking You
Babita Giri

I have been using BMTC buses for the last 15 years. The mental trauma I have undergone for the last two-three years have been agonizing and irritating. There have been many reasons why this happened to me.
1. Since from the time the BMTC introduced automatic doors, it has been more of inconvienence than safety. Because they have to keep opening and closing the doors, they do not stop in certain Bus Stops though there are bus stops boards indicated by BMTC. In places where bus stop is near a traffic signal, the driver considers that signal as a bus stop and stops near the signal. If a passenger wants to get out of the bus and even if the bus is waiting 2-3 minutes in the signal, the drivers do not open the door. But for women, girls and people who look like Ango Indians they readily open the doors. In these days when the bomb scares are getting more and if at all unfortunately some terrorist blasts in a bus with closed doors, just imagine the sufferings that may take place.
2. Some buses especially 107, 107C, 107D, 107d-27E does not have stops near Indian Express, does not stop in Cunningham, Jaymahal, Munireddy palya and T.V. Tower bus stops at 8 a.m. trip in the mornings from Shivajinagar.
3. Most conductors take money, but do not give ticket for two to three stops.
4. The buses (205A, 197) coming from Indiranagar, etc do not stop near Lake Side Hospital and Thomas Cafe. The driver of route #197 stops only if girls or women want to get in or out of the bus, otherwise he just keeps moving nonstop. If he stops, he goes far away from where people are standing (after the traffic signal) and stops. Fat women, elderly person and I have to run behind it making it a matter of laughter for people watching us. Even after waiting for 30 to 45 minutes when 205A comes at 8.30 a.m. does not stop near Thomas Cafe of saying there is no stop there. Hence keeps moving at green signal.
5. Never put into their ears any requests made by boys or men. Never open the doors when wanting to come in or go out. Never gives stop if requested on emergency (when it is 10 p.m. or raining heavily, etc).
There were 8 people waiting with me starting from Thomas Cafe to Mekri Circle. But now I am the only one to wait. Six of them bought two wheelers.

I have become very upset and angry in the recent days. I face the above problems almost daily. BMTC encourages people to use BMTC for transition and refrain from using personal vehicles, but has not checked into the attitudes of drivers and conductors who do not stop at bus stops. Raises travel fares and monthly buspass fares, but never looked into insincereity of the conductors who do not give tickets even after taking the exact money from commuters. Even inspectors when they catch the conductors for not issuing tickets take bribes from the conductors and go without filing a complaint. No doubt why Bangalore has been facing the traffic problems, jams, accidents, etc. Will anyone give answer to this.
Raghavendran Ramanujam's reply, Mar 5, 2019
Disciplined public transport system with excellent behaviour or staff members can almost vanish personal vehicles of citizens and roads will be free even in office timings.
Hi Babita,
I've been facing this problem since I came to Bangalore in 2004. A very recent incident goes like this...
I boarded the VOLVO bus from Silk Board and gave the conductor Rs100. He should have deducted Rs15 till Kadirenahalli Cross. Instead he gave me Rs35 saying that I never gave him Rs 100. On insisting he actually manhandled me and started saying abusive words against Non-Kannadigas. Don't expect any action against anyone. I would suggest, you carry some change with you and don't give them the chance to take extra money from you.

Regards,
Deepak

BMTC — Inconvenience to passengers.

Bus No. 215c ( a bus from majestic to Jambu Savari Dinne) has been taking all the way round to reach the destination because of road construction going on in 15th cross and it was taking long time. Now the buses goes straight from konanakunte cross and does not go through Brigade Millenium has created lot of convience and on September 11th, 2008, i got through a 215c bus at 6.30 and conductor told it does not go to Navodaya Nagar and goes straight to Jambu Savari Dinne via konanakunte cross. I do not know whether all these comes to BMTC's notice. Because of road construction, i request u to create an alternative instead of causing so much of inconvienience to people and please avoid single driver and conductor during peak hours in crowded buses after 5.
Hello Sir/Madm,

I was traveling from Kodgenhalli gate to Kodgenhalli railway gate. I boarded the bus at Kodgenhalli gate and took the ticket as soon as I got in to the bus. Bus # was KA01 F 2500.Other two people also got along with me and they were traveling the same path. Bus conductor behaving in such rough way, dint even gave back change of Rs 3 to all 3 o[censored]s. And when we asked he asked us to get down from bus and started scolding in slang language. Please take proper action.
Jai Karnataka!!!

BMTC Pushpak Bus — Mis behavior with Passanger

On 05/01/2009 at 20:50 the Pushpak bus No. KA-01 FA-153 coming from HAL with root No. 333H was standing on the Mysore Bank Bus stop and the door was closed. I went to the driver and requested him to open the door. then he told that he will not open. For clarification I told him that the I am having Pushpak Pass. He replied very rudely that if you are having pass then board the next bus and didn't opened the door.
I boarded the next bus and went to KBS station. I spoken to the station incharge in his cabin and tried to complain against him but he told me to give in writing tomorrow. Then I went to proceed for my next journey and I found that the same bus with the same driver was their to go for Basaweshwar Nagar and the driver was Quarreling with one of the aged passenger. The passenger told him to open the door and he replide that If you are so much hurried then go in Auto. If all the passengers go by auto then why is required.
First of all the Pushpak bus service is very less because off private company pickup/drop service and if the drivers behave like this then what is the use of taking Pushpak pass.

Hi,
Last friday I faced a similar situation. The conductor didn't give us any tickets, was just collecting the money. On few o[censored]s demanding to have the ticket said it was not necessary & checking wont be done. We insisted to have ticket irrespective of the checking, for which he gruntingly gave it to few.
Infront o[censored]s all, Rs 200/- from the conductors bag went into the Driver's pocket.

On top of all this, the driver was drunk, no one were able to stand near the first row, both of them were smoking.

when few o[censored]s, tried to warn them, they hardly paid any attention.
So the first thing I did after getting down the bus was, went into a cyber cafe, searched the telephone numbers to lodge a complaint, so that they could be caught red handedly before the bus reaches majestic, which may take around 1 hour due to friday traffic.
But all my efforts went in vain. The phone wasn't picked at all for 15 minutes I had been trying to reach them.

The bus no. was 335A KA01 FA2002

Then whats the whole point of having a complaint phone number!

BMTC — Arrogant conductors

I use to take BMTC buses from KR Puram station to Kundalahalli gate bus stop, since there is no direct bus connecting KR Puram and Brookfield. I use to board another bus from Kundalahalli gate bus stop to Brookfield, once the BMTC conductor said the fare was Rs.10/- for both my wife and me. On receipt of Rs.10/- from me he did not give the ticket, when asked he got so angry he started swearing in Kannada in front of all passengers. Due to this he said the fare is 8+8 Rs.16/- and not Rs.10/- for 2 kms, it should have been the minimum. In the end I paid Rs.16/- and i got tickets. BMTC has to take strict actions, since the money earned by these buses are not going to BMTC, hence the consumer will not be benefited on longer runs because BMTC will not have the money to introduce new buses.

BMTC — Improper bus fare collection

I am staying in BSK 3rd stage. I travel in BMTC Bus i start from kattariguppe and get down in banashankari some 501 bus take 5 Rs and Some take 7 Rs. Why such a difference in the fare from same stop?

BMTC - Route180, 65b — not stopping bust @busstops

at the newly constructed busstop opp. ubi, basaveshwarnagar- the above mention route driver think they need not have stop the bus in the said stop inspite of seeing people waiting there

it is surprising to see the weird happyness the faces of these drivers for not stopping the bus and driving past, letting people to wait for ever. I feel there is no authority to instruct them . What the bmtc authority is doing and why wasting money to construct new busstops if the employees are not trained to stop the bus at these stops

BMTC BUS Conductors — Conductors Not Giving Ticket

Hello Sir,
Its very disappointing every day to see instances like this early in the morning.
Even after repeated request also Conductors are not giving tickets for passengers.
It has become a habit for them to eat away Government's money. How can India progress it is the case with the Govenment employees?I see this kind of behaviour only in Bangalore BMTC till now.
Almost 80% of the conductors are behavibg the same way.
I humbly request the concerned authority to take severe necessary actions to avoid this.
I have one instance occured today and I have noted the Bus details. Please see if this helps and take the necessary action on the conductor.

Route 201 - From Indira Nagar to Banshankari
KA 01 F3240
Time of journey - Morning around 9:00 AM

Please help India grow and this see an end to this corruptions in daily life.

BMTC — Rash driving and not stoping at the stop

Bus no KA-01 FA-1691

I have complaint with the driver and the conductor.
The drive and the conductor of the bus no KA-01 FA-1691 on 1-may-2009
at 6 pm bus route from shivaji nagar to J P Nagar 6th Phase . The Driver was driving very rashly and he skipped many of the stop (noticing from past one month). tommorow i.e on 1-may-2009
at 6 pm a aged man one to come into to the bus the driver as usal dit stop at the stop and when the passenger shouted at the driver both conducter and driver misbehaved with the elderly person and they where trying to prove as if it was his mistake please take strict action on both as it has become their routine of both (Driver and conductor)
I was waiting for this bus 402D in the Guttahalli stop (Near to cauvery theatre). I saw the bus taking the bypass road instead of coming to the bus stop. I boarded another bus and luckily could catch the same bus in yelahanka new town. When i got into the bus the condutor was making few passengers get down from the bus saying that he dint have change with him. He said the same thing to me and asked me to get down as i dint have a change of 3 Rs. I said him if he had come to the bus stop in guttahalli i would have given him the exact change. He said there was another bus so he dint come to the bus stop. I said him that there was no bus and that is why i was in his bus.
He anyways made me get down from the bus. While getting down i said him i would complain about this. He said me go ahead and do it.
The bus number was 1937 and i couldnt see the conductor's name over his badge. Not sure he was wearing a badge also.
