BMTC (Bangalore Met Trans Co) — Improper behaviour of Conductor and Driver

Shocked to see a peculiar behavior of Bus staff when i was travelling in BMTC Bus No KA-01 F 8689 on 7th April 2010 between Kadugodi to Kengeri. Bus was slowed down at RV College stop at 9:15 PM where I require to getting down. There is hump prior to bus stop. Sudden hump made me loss my control inside the bus. I approached towards the door to get down. Suddenly I saw bus taken up on heavy speed to overtake another BMTC Bus. I asked for help and requested the conductor to stop the bus. Immediately conductor started scolding me using some un- parliamentary word. I was surprised to see behavior of conductor. I approached driver for help. He acted like deaf and instead of dropping in next stop dropped in second stop.

Request concerned to take necessary steps to avoid such un human behavior of the staff.

I request concerned to inform on next action.

Regards

V.Suresh
Dear Complaint cell members,

I have a question to you. Are you taking any action against the rude conductors or just taking the complaints for the name sake.

Explain me the procedure you normally follow on this.

If i dont get a reply in a couple le of days, im sure i"ll write a letter or personally go and meet the transport minister and i"ll take you BMTC MD also along with me.

Since im an employee working in Vidhanasoudha, i have no problem in meeting the minister.

Awiating for your reply.
Hi,
I have faced very rash and impolite behaviour from the conductor of Bus No KA-01, F2235 from Vignannagar to Majestic. While issuing tickets, he did not ask for change and wrote the balance amount on the back of the ticket. When I saw that the balance was Rs.6, I said I would tender him Rs.4 change and give me back my Rs.10 note. ( I did this as I would forget to collect it hwne I get down). As soon as I approached him for the change he in[censored]ed saying that this is not the time for tendering change and jsut go backside of bus and stand, in foul language. Irked by this I again insisted, he again behaved the same way finally accpeting my change. After a while I noticed that he even scoulded badly a very senior citizen for acquiring his seat saying it was ladies seat. Also he was found seated in ladies seat and leaning towards them while issuing tickets.
I request the concerned authority to take severe action against him for this.

Thanks and Regards,
Vinay
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Sucheta Ray. I work in Symphony Marketing Solutions( now Genpact). My office is at Bellandur, Outer Ring Road, just beside the ICICI Bank. The stoppage name is Bellandur Petrol Pump. Everyday I take the Volvo 333W from Domlur Bus Stop. Generally I take the bus at 11:30 a.m. or 12 noon. Its been almost 3 months that I am taking this bus. Infact there are two conductors, one lady and one gentleman, who just know me by my face. If I don't take the bus for few days then they ask me "Madam, why didn't we see you? ". Today I take the bus at around 1 p.m. There was some other conductor. Anyway I gave him Rs 30 as this is my fare everyday and told him "Bellandur Petrol Pump" and bought the ticket. Generally I don't check the ticket these days. Today also I just took the ticket and kept it in my purse. But I should have checked that then only, as the destination enetered was City Light. Then when the Bellandur stoppage came the conductor told me that get down as your stoppage has come, Then I said "No, I will get down at Bellandur Petrol Pump" as I thought he may have just got confused. Then he started shouting that I have to get down as while buying the ticket I have told him "Bellandur" or else I have to give him Rs 10 extra. I was just shocked that why would I say Bellandur if my office is at Bellandur Petrol Pump stoppage. Also there was no chance for me to pay less by saying Bemmandur, as the tickets fare were just same Rs 30. So why that conductor was 100% sure that it was not his mistake. As there was a 50-50 chance for both o[censored]s to make a mistake, rather for him the chance was higher. But no, he was very rude and started abusing me in his own loacl language. Sir, my question is, just because he is the conductor of that bus, does it mean that he is the owner of the bus? I think both the conductor and the passenger have the same right on a bus. Both pay tax to get a smooth service from the Authority. Monday only we have got a mail from our office to go to the site http://www.rcntech.in/bmtc/ and send feedback. I am sorry to say if these type of rude primitive conductors are there then people like us will not be encouraged to take Volvo bus. People will then prefer auto or their personal vehicle which will never help Bangalore to reduce traffic and pollution. This conductor was very very rude. I noticed that one boy was supposed to get down at Domlur. He supposedly asked him to tell him when Domlur come as he was new in this route. At Marathalli that boy asked that conductor then when Domlur will come. The conductor behaved very badly and told him that Domlur passed long back and said "Utro utro". So my suggestion is please train these conductors to behave properly like a civilized person and also let them know this fact that every citizen of India has the same right to stay in any city he/she may choose. They can not do anything whatever they want just because I am not from Karnataka. They must change their attitude toward the non Kannadigas.

Here are the details of that bus ticket/timing:

Bus No. KA 01 FA586
Ticket No.[protected]Time : 12:34:02, Date: 14/04/10)

I hope there will be strict action against that ill behaved conductor.
Thanks,
Ms Sucheta Ray

BMTC — Misbehavior of driver and conductor

I was going in bus 500 from banashankri to HSR layout. Though i stood up before the stop came and the conductor dint see me standing. The conductor was not willing to stop the bus though i am requesting the driver to stop the bus. The driver stopped the bus few meters after the stop and started shouting at me. why cant they stop the bus when there is a stop? these incidents usually happen and should be taken strict actions. BMTC drivers dont stop even if there r passengers wanting to climb the bus and the buses will be empty.

P.S BMTC drivers do not stop the buses though there is a stop and when the passenger is requesting

BMTC — rough behaviour

.hi ,
i am a frequent user of BMTC buses .this is one of the common problem which is faced day to day by most of the public.

Rough Behaviour.
All most all the bus conductors are behaving in so rough way as if we are travelling free of cost. When we behave in a proper way, in return we'll expect the same response. For small small things they 'll ask us to get down.

The bus in which i had to face the same problem was KA 01 F3196.
Hello, my name is Prema I am working in Kalyan Nagar, I am staying in Jalahalli West, today I came BEL circle at 8.15 till 9.00. Around 200 people were waiting for the Hebbal route bus and almost 10 buses passed by but not even one bus stopped, this is really annoying. I would kindly request BMTC to take up measure to solve this problem.

Thank you

BMTC — Regular Disturbance with some boys

Dear Sir,

This is regarding BMTC bus 291 which travels from Shampura to K R Market, the bus no. KA01 F-3591 every day it starts from 9.15 am at Shampura.

Ladies cannot travel in this bus, because of some regular disturbance from some local guys, nearly a gang of 5 to 6 people travel everyday, and tease ladies, dont even allow ladies to stand or sit in their respected places.

The conductors are also not taking any measures, if we inform them, they are saying its your duty, if you need anything give the complaint to BMTC and they are saying, our duty is only to issue ticket,

I request either the BMTC department or Police should take action.

Hope you will do the needful,

Rukmani Shanmugam.

Hi,

It is quite frustrating and disgusting to travel by BMTC buses these days and your journey becomes worst experience of life. Thanks to the customer phobia (specially towards non-kannadigas) bus conductor that are employed by the BMTC. BMTC may boast of providing best services in the country, but inside those buses it employs the most ruddest, arrogant, ill-mannered bus conductors in the world. I suggest the managing director of BMTC Mr. Syed Zameer Pasha to arrange immediate soft skill training to its employees.

I just want to narrate an incident, among many, that happened as recently as on 18/07/2010 which changed my attitude towards BMTC and its employees completely. I purchased a daily pass on my way to Majestic from CV Raman Nagar on bus no. 314B (I did not note down the registration number for this bus thinking it would be trouble free trip). My journey went fine on that bus. But while returning, when I boarded another bus with same bus number of 314B bearing registration no. KA 01F 2450, I had to face the most harrowed experience of my life.
Immediately on boarding, when I showed the daily pass to the conductor my trouble begun. The conductor told me that this is not a valid pass. I was told that the pass is for Monday i.e. 19/07/2010 (18/07/2010 was Sunday). I was puzzled as on the pass I could see the date 18/07/2010 stroked off confirming me that this pass is for that date. On further insisting him, he showed me something written in Kannada on the pass which he claims that it was for Monday. He was demanding for ticket, at which I was reluctant since I already gave money to purchase the pass. He started saying that it was my fault. Why I did not check the pass when the other bus conductor was issuing it? I reasoned him that how could I understand the writing in Kannada as I came from outside of Karnataka and illiterate in Kannada. I could only understand the numbers on the pass which are written in English. Except those all the writing on it are in Kannada script and are Latin and Greek to me. Still he was adamant and arrogantly shouting at me. He told me either to purchase fresh tickets or get out of the bus. In the meantime other kannadigas on the bus started supporting the conductor without judging whose fault it is. They were (including the conductor) quite arrogant, ill mannered and senseless in their talking, and started bullying me to purchase tickets. Few of them were even drunks and about to beat me up.
This has alarmed my senses and thought I could not put through my valid points to these guys. They are hell bent to make me suffer especially since I am non kannadiga. I had to purchase another ticket thinking it to be the last bus on that route on that night (Sunday night generally has low frequency of buses plying on that route).

On reaching, I tried calling BMTC toll free number to lodge complaint, but to no avail. I tried searching BMTC websites, it is defunct. This is what the great BMTC provides for its customer and pleads commuters to use buses to reduce traffic.

From this experience I sincerely suggest Mr. Syed Zameer Pasha, to wear his thinking cap and understand that Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city. Many peoples from different part of the country come to this city. Bangalore is not prospering not only because of the Kannadigas; the people from outside Karnataka are part to it too.
I would like Mr. Pasha to come up with idea of printing instruction on daily passes in English too for the betterment of all the people.

Regards,
Banjam

BMTC — Conductor not giving tickets

Hi Sir,
My name is Irfan, i am working in Software company, I want to lodge a complaint against a bus conductor of BMTC bus route big10 (Bus Details: KA01 FA 2082) running between MG Road & Kadugudi. I boarded this bus at this point and asked for the ticket from Domlur to Muregesh palya , i given Rs.10 to him for 2 tickets. He was taken money and not given ticket and i was keep on asking him he was telling i ll give wait till the stop comes.

So, I would like to lodge a complaint against the conductor. I seriously believe in BMTC which will be the sole responsible for taking against the bus conductor.

I would request the concerned officer to give the maximum punishment to the conductor., So that it make sure the same wouldn't happen to any Bangaloreans again.

Yes. I agree to the above point. And I would also like to mention a point saying not all the conductors are like this. Some of them are doing thier work sincerely.
But Some people are behaving really rude with the passengers.I am Savitha, working as a software engineer in the company located in outer ring road.
Today morning I took BMTC bus root number 500D i.e.Hebbal to Silkboard.
I took the bus near tin factory.. While getting in the bus itself, the conductor was scolding unnecessarily. Later when I gave two 10 rupee notes for a 12rs ticket as I didn't have a 2 rupees change with me. He started shouting at me and asked me to get down there itself which was half the way where in next stop was quite far. I couldn't go back also. I had no other way, and had to walk from that road to next stop eventhough it was quite late for my office.

I really request BMTC head people to give conductors and drivers a special training for good manners with the public. we understand that, they would be irritated with lot of people travel in the buses daily. At the same time they must understand that, even many working people travels in those buses with lot of tensions.

Please do take action towards them.

Regards,
Savitha

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) — Rude Behaviour of BMTC Conductor

Sir,

I would like to lodge a complaint against the bus conductor of BMTC bus route number 330 (Bus Details: KA 01 FA 357) . This incident occured on 12th August 2010 around 9.30a.m. I boarded this bus from Murugeshpalaya bus stop( the one near total mall). When I gave the conductor my ticket fare which is Rs 10 (Murugeshpalaya to Trinity Circle) he gave me a ticket of 8 Rs. He did not give back any change either. When I asked him why he gave me a ticket for 8 Rs, he started shouting at me like anything. I was totally embarassed since he literally abused me amidst all the people in the bus. Also I am not a Kannadiga, so I couldnt understand for what he was shouting. Can't non-kannadigas travel in bmtc buses? Had i been a kannadiga, would he abuse me like that? Sir, there is a minimum courtesy expected when you are talking to a woman. He was too rude.

So, I would like to lodge a complaint against the conductor for his misbehavior. I would request the concerned officer to give the maximum punishment to the conductor, so as to make sure that the same wouldn't happen to any other girl.

Also I would like to know the status of this issue via mail.

Thanks
Aleena
