[Resolved]  Bmtc — poor behaviour & wrong way of taking bus fare

Every time we cant give the exact bus fare . Sometimes we may not have change. I[censored] give a note of Rs.10 and ask for a ticket of rs.5, for that also conductors are shouting like anything. And sometimes simply they are keeping the change with them . And if you ask again shouting.Conductor scolding public like illiterates,its actual shame on BMTC Selection team..Please do hire who are well behaved one,otherwise may result in........
Like this many days i've given 10rs for a rs.5 distance.
today this thing happened in bus no.KA-01 F-4742 Kengeri to yeshvantpur..time:6:40 am-7:30 am,date:1st March 2012

This is for your kind attention, I Raghav Sharma, working at Manipal Acunova Ltd, White Field (Bangalore) recently had a very bad experience in one of the Volvo buses that runs from ITPL.

This incident took place on 27th Sep 2010 at 21:00 Hrs. I took BMTC Volvo bus (KA 01FA 2040) from Brookfield to HSR Layout. I gave him 30 Rs for the ticket as asked by the conductor, the conductor left without giving me the tickets.

Then after a while I asked the conductor to give me the ticket he asked 10 more Rs. I gave him a total of 40rs for which he gave me ticket of Rs 28. When I asked him that you took Rs 40 and given the tickets for Rs 28, He acted innocent and gave the ticket for 35 Rs and told me that for 5 Rs he doesn’t have the change.

This issue is brought into light not to get my 5 Rs back but to make you aware of such kind of incidences are happening very frequently and the conductors are making fool of the public.

I would request you to take some actions so that people like me, who are travelling by the public transport should not feel that being a stranger to the place, government employees are exploiting them.

Well I don’t know if action will be taken on this but I could not resist myself to do my moral duty.

Hope some kind of strict action will be taken.

On Sunday Evening at 5 p.m. I alighted the BMTC Bus no. 210 NA, No. KA – 01, F -4541 and I was about to sit, by that time the lady conductor on duty came to me and asked me for ticket. I asked for daily pass and showed my ID card and asked for 35 Rs pass. By that time she tore one 40 Rs. Pass and took 50 Rs. From me and gave 10 Rs, back. I requested her so many times for 35 Rs. pass. She refused to issue the pass telling that she cannot take back. I am a handicapped woman. She has to issue the ticket only after listening from me where to go or which type of pass we want. For no fault of me I paid more. She assaulted me and acted very rudely even after driver’s advice to her. She told me do whatever you want I won’t care for anybody and nobody can do her anything. What she think of public? They are the public servants and they have to keep the good relationship with public. Why I am writing this letter is that not only I lost money. But also assaulted by her that we can’t do anything. Please the concerned authorities
Should look into this matter that the monopoly of the conductors on public. Please take action against her which gives justice to me to prove that we are not helpless or neglected.

This is Hari, I am a kannadiga, I travel on volvo daily. I to faced many problems while traveling. One such incident is I was dropped out of the bus even after holding the ""oct month volvo gold oct pass in the month of oct"", out of 335E bus. All it happen was near corporation the bus came, I got in the bus, conductor asked where to go I took my volvo pass and showed him. The driver and conductor told I have to pay, in this bus pass not allowed. I thought at that instant it might be a airport bus and came out and bang... what I am seeing on the display is 335E. I am feeling so sorry about my self because I did not note the bus number. I leave it to God to decide the fate of such people.

Hope : Everybody is sure by reading my experience on BMTC volvo that it does happen regardless a person being a kannadiga or non kannadiga .
(I have maintained every discipline in the bus a passenger must do, what I think is it can happen with any innocent, let us fight against injustices and make Banglore, entire India better ).
Sub: Rowdsm practised by BMTC driver and conductor in route No.238 bus No.KA01 F 8731.I am prefering this complaint with both physical and mental agony caused by bus conductor and driver ofroute238 No.KAo1 F 8731. Iboarded route bus No.238 U or V from Kempegowda Busstation to go to Ambedkar college at about 11.45 a.m. today i.e. 27.10.10.. I was issued with ticket for Rs.12.00 (Ticket No.R[protected] and D74 480043. The said bus suffered technical snag and was terminatedat Vijayanagara. The lady bus conductor took some of the passengers bound to Chandralayot to another buss and asked me to wait since I was the one to go the last stop.After accommodating them she came back to me and walked along with to accommodate in a bus bound for Ambedkar college. At that time route No.238 was taking turn towards right to mudalpalya route. The lady conductore signalled to the conductor to take me by his bus and the conductor of route 238 bus. No.KA 01 F 8731 also exchanged the signalled and told me to come. I ran behind the bus and boarded the same. I have shown the tickets purchased earlier and was to go to Ambedkar college. The conductor told that the bus go only to Nagarbhavi circle. I requested him to help to go to Ambedkar college. Atonce he told me to get down from the bus and told the driver to stop the bus which started already. Even when I was ready to go only up to Nagharbavi circle and would take another bus from there the conductor insisted me to buy a ticket or else to get down. I told him because he had agreed to the request of the lady conductor I ran behind the bus and got in there fore there was no need to buy a ticket again.By stopping the bus deliberately the driver and conductor tried to turn the other passengers against me and they also indulged in abusing me.The driver came to me and asked me to come to the police station. I readily agreed. The driver got down with me and pushed me aside and ran towards the front door. I ran behind him meanwhile the conductor closed the main door with the help of another staff who was not on duty but in uniform. I ran towards the front door. As soon the driver got in I also followed him. Meanwhile the conductor closed the front door also resulting in my right foot and right arm got entangled in between and I was hanging with my 90 kgs body weight and suitcase in left hand and was writhing with pain. The driver tried to push my foot and right hand. I did not give up. At last after couple of minutes the conductor released the door and I got in the bus. The driver, the conductor started abusing in filthy language as if I was travelling without a ticket. The person who in uniform but was not duty threatened me that if he were on duty he would have kicked me from the running bus. Un able to bear the humility I have asked to give a ticket and the conductor issued me a ticket for Rs.6.00 No.G[protected]. Then also the driver and the conductor were abusing me and were not even apologetic about their behaviour and for the bodily injury they caused me.Only by God's grace I did not get the blows from the driver and the conductor. At last I got down at Nagarbhavi circle and took route No.401 K to Ambedkar college by paying Rs.6 Tkt. No.G[protected]. Thus I have been humiliated by the BMTC driver and conductor and even got physical injury. When BMTC top brasses are trying t make BMTC passenger friendly the attitude of the above driver and conductor is disheartening and alarming.This is only first hand information. I shall be writing to you in detail after I visit the Doctor in the evening.

I stay in whitefield. I commute to shivajinagar. I always find a problem when i get in to 331E bus in the morning around 7.10 am... the drivers friends will be standing in the footboard enterance in the front and the driver will be busy talking... when i make my way in to the bus.. men fock will be sitting in the third seat.. which is reserved for the ladies. when questioned.. they dont get up .. if they get up they start with verbal absue. the lady conducter is in good terms with them so never speaks against them. once i did complaints to the bmtc complaint board still there is no betterment...please . kindly take some action. . I cant stand the verbal absue so started commuting in different bus as of now as i can only afford a public transport and not a private one. as i dont want to travell in that bus... to get free of cost mental torture...

BMTC — Killer BMTC

It was a true incident happened in front of my eye...the bus BMTC bus drivers are very harsh while driving...The route of the bus is form Peenya 2nd Stage to Sivaji Nagar and the Bus number is 252A. They really are worst while driving...please government has to take necessary steps to solve it.

BMTC — Rude Behaviour Of conductor

hello i am josaphat ,the bmtc conductor of volvo bus no. ka 01 fa 2269 (time 2:30 pm date 2/12/2010) behaved very rudely with me and made me get off the bus for not giving 10 rs change for a ticket (i had 100 rs notes and no change at all) it was apparent that he had lots of 10rs notes and could have given the change easily but he wouldnt listen to me but just shouted and behaved in the most indecent manner. I even told him that i would be willing to wait till i get the change but he wouldnt listen. As a passenger of the most 'prestigious' service of bmtc the least we expect is some courtesy from the conductors. As a result of this i had to walk for more than 2km to my home as there was no bus stop in the vicinity.Please take adequate action against the conductor so that in the future such incidents do not take place and affect your reputation.

I am a regular traveler of BMTC buses and especially that too from HariNagar to Avalhalli, Anjanapura Post, J.P.Nagar in the course of my work. It is really sad to say that the behaviour of the conductors in these buses are so tragic and desperate. The conductors wont give the tickets for which they have taken the money and that too some people are fine with that as well. So the conductors have started taking it for granted and will do that to everyone by not giving the tickets. This happens more during the evening times. If at all some one asks the ticket these conductors the so called "Govt Employees" will answer back and will misbehave, and act so rudely as if the person who asked for the tickets did something "ILLEGAL" and "BAD". Its a real shame on the Government Transport. People like me prefer a bus than an auto or so, just to avoid the misbehaviour and attitude of the auto drivers. The misbehaviour of auto drivers are another big headache.But let us forget it for the present context. If the same odd behaviour is there in buses also then what is the way out? I am writing this because I myself am a victim of this tragedy. Hope the authorities can do and will definitely do something to stop these untoward acts of the so called "Government Employees".
on 08th of December a conductor of bus no KA01FA1959 behaved very arrogant with me he told me that i was not supposed to travel in that route so i took ticket but then too he didn't return my pass and scolded me

I am a regular person traveling daily from hebbal to Guruguntepalya, between 8.30am to 9.00am, which is actually the peak time, there are hardly 2 busses travelling via that route and that too.. they will not stop the busses at the bus stops properly, many of the people will be waiting, This is happening daily since from 2 weeks, b coz of the metro work both BELcircle and guruguntepalya will be full of traffic jam.. Apart from this we are facing the problem from this BMTC.

If a concern person can look into this matter and see to that more busses come in that area especially at the peak time, It would be very helpful to many o[censored]s.

I dont understand why this conductors do like this ... Will there get salary every month correctly or not. Then why the hell they wont issue the Ticket. 5rs is also a money right then why there wont issue 5rs Ticket. Everyday i a m travelling in volvo 362c bus from shivajinagar to st marks road ... The Ticket fare is only 5rs but the conductor wont issue the ticket if i ask the ticket they will say no ticket for st marks road. Then why there take money from us. Today i travelled in the same route no 362c goes to begur/madiwala bus no. KA -01 F-4944... i gave him 6rs but he didnt gave ticket of 5rs & 1re also back i asked him many times to give but till the stop he didnt even open his mouth . If give complaint also is waste Useless Government cowdung employees all who are working in BMTC fit for nothing only know to eat & sleep over there & take salary monthly. By seeing all these complaints surely knows that the problem are not taken in actions.
Hi, I have been keep posting complaints, but i think no one is borthered look at this site or even if thery are looking in to this BMTC does not take any action. Especially if you do not know Kannada, Conductors(ticket collector), drivers they speak all rubish, even if you ask simple things.
I was traveling from Marathalli to Bellandur (BUS no: KA-19, 449) . Bus Was totally packed, there was no space to breathe and conductor asked me money for ticket. I just told him I will pay him once I take out the money, but he did not listen. For that he shouted like anything.Which was so humilating and insulting.
I hope they under go any coustmer care trainning before they board in to any bus.

BMTC — No air conditioner in BMTC Volvo Bus

I will travel daily in the BMTC Volvo bus from Koramangala to Electronic city in Bus number{505A(FA-2378)}.The air condition will be not switched on even though it is Volvo bus.After several times registering complaint to the Bus Driver and Conductor, they are not responding well and they dont bother about the Passengers in the bus,even after that they are not switching on air conditioner in the bus.

BMTC — Drivers are bashing private cars and running away

I have serious complaint on BMTC drivers. Saturday 26th February 2011, I parked my brand new car exactly side of the road in front of Maruthi showroom(Pratham Motors) in Queens road Bangalore. One BMTC bus came from behind by overtaking another BMTC bus and smashed my front side of the car and rushed in the same speed. I could not even note down bus number also. That driver has no courtesy to look behind what happened. They are very rude. For his mistake I had to pay Rs.4500 to repaint it. I felt very bad. Even showroom people are also added similar incidents happened before. They don’t have any rights to play with some one’s life.
I request concerned person to take action on them.

PRIVATE. BUS OPERATOR — UNAUTHORISED FARE TAKEN BY THEM

MY NAME IS ASHISH OBEROI. WHILE I WAS GOING TO MANDI WITH MY FRIEND ON SHIVRATRI MELA WHEN I WAS GOING FROM SNR THE CONDUCTER HAS TAKEN A FULL FARE FROM ME AND THEN THEY LEAVE ALL PESSANGER TO NERCHOWK WITHOUT ANY REASON . THEIR SERVICES ARE POOR. AND WHEN I WAS COMING FROM CHAKKAR ON 06/03/2011 AT 2.00 PM. THE CONDUCTER HAD TAKEN 50 RS. FOR 2 PESSANGER (ME AND MY FRIEND) FOR 13 KM. AND HE EVEN DIDN'T GIVE US TICKETS. WHEN I COPMLAINT TO RTO ON [protected]. THEIR RESPONSE IA ALSO NEGATIVE. THE BUS NO. IS HP31-B 7507. AND IN ALL MANDIPVT. BUS CONDUCTER TAKES MORE FARE THEN REQUIRED. AND EVEN THEY DONT GIVE TICKETS TO PESSANGR WHEN THEY ASKED FOR..IS IT OUR HRTC. A COMMON MAN EARNED HIS MONEY VERY HARDLY. SO KINDLY DO SOMETHING FOR THIS SO THAT A COMMON MAN WILL NOT SUFFERED IN TRAVELLING.

BMTC — Misbehaviour and Rash driving of the driver

Today i happened to travel in this Marcopolo BMTC Bus(Blue)...
Route:Majestic to Electronic City
Bus Number: KA 01-F-8788
Bus started from [protected]@8:00 am on March 24th 2011
Description of the driver: Short and Dark Man....Age : around 50 years.....

The Driver of this bus was Continuously misbehaving and passing lewd comments on women.....
His driving was totally rash..causing minor injury to some in the bus as well...
He was so mad.... he even tried to scare a girl standing in a bus stop by almost hitting her from behind with the bus....

He continuously cursed people in the bus and as well as the people outside....
He was even speaking vulgarly with the Conductor as well.... he was even abusing the conductor .....

Kindly consider this complaint and please do act on this seriously... cause not only is this person going to harm the people inside the bus but is sure enough to go about harming the general public as well.
HIS BEHAVIOUR TOTALLY DEMANDS HIM TO BE STRIPPED OF HIS LICENSE TO DRIVE NOT ONLY A TRANSPORT VEHICLE BUT ANY VEHICLE IN FUTURE....
and also be seriously dealt with for his misbehaviour.....

I travel from BTM to Bellandur everyday and the behavior of conductor is very rude and unaaceptable in most of the 500-series VOLVO buses. The fare is Rs.25 and I always make sure that i have Rs.5 change even if I dont have Rs.10 or 20. For that also, they shout a lor keep grumbling and insult in fromt of all the people in the bus.

This is very very annoying. they grumble even for the use of good words like "Please" and "Thnak you" just because they are ENGLISH words.

Today in one such bus, 500C, KA 01 FA 1764, the conductor refused to give me Rs.80 fare and asked me to come to the depot later in the evening and collect the same. He even asked another girl to get down from the bus because she was giving him a currency of higher denomination.

Some strict action has to be taken against such people. I agree to the above mentioned point that this behavior is more common towards people who are not local or non-kannadigas.
