[Resolved] BSNL — Outgoing calls barred even after advance payment
I have been a bsnl landline customer for many years without defaulting ever. In the month of November, 2008 we had taken up a broadband scheme after paying a lump sum amount of 5618/- for an year. The broadband plan was 500(C) wherein it would ensure no rent for an year and 175 calls per month were to be provided free of cost under the plan. Despite of making the advance payment, we continued to receive the usual BSNL landline bills which should actually had been waived off.We communicated this error to the TRAI office in Firozepur for several months after that for them to rectify their records and so that we do not receive the bills anymore until we cross the free 175 calls. Nothing has been done so far to help this. Instead due to non payment of those bills (which should not have been generated in the first place), our landline outgoing calls have been barred completely and we have a very intermittent useless broadband service left to us. We take it as a very unexpected harassment from such a reputed depatment. Due to the negligence of the staff in updating our records with the correct plan, we are suffering badly even after having paid the full amount for an year in advance.This is really very unsatisfactory and really adding to our daily discomfort. It is really very unprofessional for us to be expected to visit the BSNL office time and again and that too to no effect. Please help us in gettin in justice in this situation and the due compensation for the harassment we have been facing.
