[Resolved]  BSNL Dataone — Horrible customer care

I have a dataone broadband connection. This morning I could not connect and got a message on my screen saying that I need to login again because I exceeded 1GB limit (being the first day of the cycle, there is no way it could be and anyway I have 2GB limit, but that is another compliant). I tried loging in using the login ID and PW that BSNL had given me and it was rejected. I checked BSNL website to see if there was some way of getting an answer. No luck. I had two telephone numbers to report complaints. One was ringing and no one was picking up, the other was engaged always. I tried at least 100 times. Finally I got fed up and went to the Cochin (Ernakulam) main BSNL office (45 min drive from my home). They gave me four other numbers and said that I should call and I will get connected to at least one of them. I immediately tried for 20 minutes all numbers from my mobile. One was disconnected. One there was no response. One was just ringing and no one was picking up and the last was perpetually busy. So I went back to the BSNL counter and told the lady what happened. She called a few people on the phone and apparently they didn't have a clue. She tried the busy number for 15 minutes and could not get through. She had to go for a training course and so she told me that the number would not be busy in the afternoon and that I should go home and try. So I went home and tried all the numbers again. No luck. I engaged someone to keep calling the busy number and the non-responsive number and he called for 2 hours and no luck. Tomorrow I drive again 45 minutes back to the BSNL main office and I am sure I will get no response

BSNL Cochin is one of the worst service providers. Even their own people don't know how to access their people on the phone

Dear, this problem is not unique to BSNL kochin only. This is a general problem all over india. I am in gurgaon, near delhi which comes under NCR (national capital region), and the same problem persist. They will literally drive you to the level of insanity.
I have a dataone connection .since about 2 month i can not send mail from out look express .I have registered complaints several time . But no fault have been rectified .i have been told that fault is from bangalore .hence local mainenance engineers can not do any thing .of course bill comes very promptly
and pay but we are not getting service when required as this problem is pending for the last two month.
I have tried calling customer care since the last 5 days but nobody responds and when they do and I tell my problem, they say yes and that's all.

We have paid an unpaid bill amount of 5375, such a big amount because I was out and I hadn't locked my modem with a web key or disconnected it. I paid the bill on 26.05.2009, bill number [protected], Pom Marketing Services, PONO2224478 but BSNL service is so poor that I have to say it's the worst connection one could have. They are very prompt at collecting an amount but at giving a connection they take their own time.

I am still unable to use the internet or the landline as only incomming is available.
I guess the only way one can get connection with BSNL is to pray to god and hope for the best!!!

Very poor support. Airtel or Reliance are way better!
Yeah, this is the first day of June; and bsnl says I have exceeded 1 gb limit!!!(in kolkata) and I know I downloaded not more than 100 mb.People working there in the customer care should be murdered.
Yah I am also having the same problem. I am using dataone 500 home plan.
I use schedulers and firewalls and I just killed windows updates still it is showing downloaded bandwith when i didn't to internet.
How this possible I don't know.
From whom they bought that counter software ...! those people and this bsnl should be killed.

I think I don't have option, either i have to go for unlimited or I have to use another service provider.
If there is any solution please let me know...
bsnl internet service is the worst service in the whole universe .first you think that they are giving good speed and at low cost but whenn you use the internet there is always one or other problem and than starts rounds to bsnl "jhopda" again and again to get the problem sorted . the internet cant run for even 2 days without a problem.
sir, from this coneection lot o[censored]n wantted advertaisemets are coming continuesly so please check yhis and send me the details about this problem as soon as you possible!

I am broadband data one subscriber of BSNL. My phone No. is [protected]. Despite my complaint, no action has been taken by BSNL to correct the connection. whenever, I try to connect, I receive the message error 678. I request the error be rectified immediately and service given uninterrupted.
During Jan 2010 month, the internet usage come to the extent of 2.250GB where i have not used to that extent.I have checked the user records, the time mentioned is totally not corelating to my working time in internet.
In Feb 2010 also, i find the same usage.As per record time, i ahve not used any internet, For example during 1&2 Mar2010, i have not used internet.But usage acoount telling 0.9GB is used.
Please look into the matter.other wise i will totally disconnect the phone and surrender to you.
