I have been informed that I won 1, 000, 000.00 American Dollars in the Canadian Lottery Mobile Draw. To receive the so-called winnings I have to pay them $900 for courrier costs. Can anyone tell me how legit this company is or is just another scam to get money form unsuspecting people???

Hi julle ek het dieselfde sms van 'n Dr Muller ontvang en glo my vry hulle dink ons Suid Afrikaners is 'n klomp plat koppe wat alles glo. Vat hulle vas.
I am in the States right now and my parents in South Africa sent me this text that they got to look into. This is rediculus and they should be stopped... I just hope that other people have the same sense to investigate this further before paying them money.
Thank you for this address. If it wasn't for this I would have lost a few thousand rands. How can we stop these people?
Hi everyone i also got a sms saying that i must email a Dr Phillip Johnson to do a cash email transfer. So i emaild the address given and about 5 min later i got a email saying that i won 1 million dollars and all i needed to do is fill in the claim form and the prize would be mine no mention of going to London so i dont know. Regards Leslie
Hi all:

Im a South African and was almost scamed myself. I did research myself and found what u did. They are stupid and not us.
here's the latest as of Sept 15, 2009
I received an email from the Canadian Lottery Award Draws Ontario 49
email: [protected]@canada.com
address:1550 Princess street Kingston, ON, Canada, k7m 9e3

The only difference with this one is that it came from my email. My email has won me the sum o[censored]S $1, 000.000.00(one million, United States Dollars Only) on the draw (#1659) Ball Set Used: 5 of the online data International program held on Canada and it gives a date, 2009 and was officially Announced your e-mail address attached to ticket number ####### with serial # drew the lucky numbers and it gave all the numbers in the drawing which subsequently won me the lottery in the 2nd category i.e. web, This is from a total cash prize o[censored]S $7, 000, 000.00 shared amongst the (7) jackpot lucky winners. Doesn't this sound soooo good and convincing. I said to myself surely this is a scam but I must check it out. The contact person in this case was a Mr. Paul Hamilton who is a Fiduciary agent that I was supposed to contact with any further clarification/verification of my claims. His telephone # is +[protected] and the email:info.[protected]@gala.net So I called and I did reach him it cost me an international charge of 1.29 per minute but I wanted to know if it was legit. So when I called he himself answered "Hello" nothing professional at all which was my first clue and He asked who I was and I told him my email address and he knew right away why I was calling. So now my doubts are now fading because it seems clear that this could really be for real. So he says fill out the information that I emailed to you and we can proceed. So the information asked was full name, age, sex, country, phone/fax, occupation and email address. Didn't ask for my ss# or bank acct# or my address. So right about now I'm feeling pretty good. So I emailed the information to him and then I got a phone call about 20 minutes later from Mr Paul Hamilton saying that he had emailed me another document the fill out and to call him back. I said no you hold on and I will check my email because I cannot afford to keep calling you back. Now in the meantime I had come to this website and read all the stories of fraud and how people had to go to London to claim the money and I said if he says that to me I know it is a scam. So in this email he did mention this right then and there I told him to send me a legal document stating that I have won this money so my lawyer can look it over and he said he could not. I told him to go on to the next sucker because this one is done!!!
We all are looking for that easy money but I'm going to tell you, that brief moment of " This is it", could have cost me a lot more suffering than I am currently experiencing. Thanks to all of you for leaving your comments it really did help me deal with that scum bag the right way.
thank you for the letters, i also received the sms but i decided to check if this is true or not - these letters helped us a lot, please good people let us make others aware of this before they fall into the same trap.

Stay blessed,
Muntu
i received sms on my mobile phone to say that : Congratulations u have won $1, 000, 000, 00 in Canada lottery mobile draw to claim contact DR Muller on email [protected]@gmail.com Tell; [protected].

Is this true?? If not how did they get my mobile number and can we stop this scam going around as this is playing with my happiness!!
i received the same mesaje but from Dr. Kelvin Morgan and says couse i won 750000$ :) how i get them :).
Hi,

I have also received this emial as well as an sms. I decided to email this Paul Muller guy who sent me the email confirmation.

I was extremely sceptical about this being a hoax. All email addresses are gmail. and not professional addresses. As well as I looked into the Jordan International Bank and this site seems very dodgy.

Unfortunately all these addresses actually take you to a valid site. It is shocking the lenths that some people go to with these scams.
I received the same sms on my mobile. I knew from the beggining that this is a big scam, but i wanted to see how far they can go. I'm from Romania, so i couldn't be a winner on Canadian Lotterry. Therefore, i've sended the e-mails that they requested and i've waited. After 3 replies, they asked me to send them through Western Union the amount of 400 pounds. This is the last e-mail:

"We wish to acknowledge the receipt of your personal winning information and after due verifications and security protocol carried out, we discovered that the information your submitted to us tallies with bank information and have confirmed that you are the true beneficiary of the Canadian mobile lottery prize award.

Therefore, you are required to pay the total sum of £400 pounds as an approved charge for the certificate of international fund release order, to enable us release the certificate immediately to your paying bank for onward transfer of your fund to your country.

In line with the operational and security regulations of the FINANCIAL SERVICE AUTHORITY,

your required to make the payment of the approved certificate, through westernunion with the following information below.

Names : williams Johnson

Address: NO: 82 KINGS ROAD, LONDON

WCDI, ENGLAND, UNITED KINDOM "

I hope nobody else will fall for this scam again. Have a nice day everybody
I recieved the same text message. It arrived at a freakishly late hour (1:00am). I just looked at the message and went back to sleep. I figured there is no way i could randomly win a lottery that I never entered. I mean honestly... Every competition or lottery requires you to enter in some or other form to even be considered. But I'm glad I came across this website and read these posts. It totally put my mind at ease. Silly Dr Muller.
M. Hooks.

Groete.

Received a similar sms from a 'Dr. Philip Monde'. I phoned the no. on my cell. He answered in a typical African accent. Any bets where he is from? I believe it to be a scam.
You know I think it would be better if we deduct the money for the legal fees to Adv. Demetris Michael from my winning because curerntly I struggling with raising the needed amount as some of my family members and relatives are suspecting of this to being a scam to getting cash out of our pockets.

I will also send Adv. Demetris Michael my suggestion.

I think if done in this manner as I suggest it would be most appropriate and understandable to everyone.
