I am getting more than 100 sms from "Channel 50" in a day continuously and i have checked and unmarked the broadcast check mark too, but still issue persist.

Kindly help me to resolve this.

Note: When i tried to uncheck the check box, i got the error "Network or SIM card error".

Thanks all you great people. I was receiving loads of sms's per day from channel 50 but the sms read from canal 50, yes canal 50 and it read 01536. Well 01536 is our landline area code, confusing or what. So I did as you suggested went to message setting, broadcast settings and right there was canal 50 enabled. I unchecked the box so now canal 50 was disabled and hey presto no more sms's from this. Cheers everyone.

Messaging>Press leftmost button>More features and settings>Messaging settings>Cell Broadcast> Uncheck channel 50 broadcast>Uncheck channel 60 broadcasts

2. Now click the Menu Button of your phone


3. Select Setting

4. Select General

5. Now, Select Cell BroadCast

6. If you have a dual sim phone then you may see 2 options here, select the sim

7, Now, Uncheck Cell Broadcast Check Box.

Open the Android messaging app and tap in the overview at the top-right symbol with the three points. A menu will pop up, where now "Settings" must be selected.

You are now entering the next submenu. Scroll down a bit until you can see messages, select “CB”. Tap on this entry to make more options visible. Here you'll find at the top-right a controller. Push it from "On" to "Off" to turn off CB messages in Android. First enable cb.and disable both chennal showing in its settings. And you are done

I had the similar problem, and I was using intex aqua + lollypup mobile

i tried the following method and it worked well, the above suggestions are not applicable in intex

Go To

Messages
Settings
General
Cell broadcast settings
Disable WAP PUSH

Probably this should work well...
