[Resolved] Chevrolet Beat — Regent Automobiles

I have booked new Chevrolet Beat with Regent Automobiles (Mathura Road) on 19th Jan 2010. they have committed a delivery time of 7 days or even earlier. They have not delivered it on the committed date (26 Jan 2010) and when we ask they say that because of holidays and other reason it get delays and will be able to deliver it on 4th Feb 2010. When we called them on 4th Feb they come up with a new story that the truck stuck at Haryana and will be able to deliver in another 1-2 days time today is 6th Feb and still truck does not moves from Haryana. I think delivery DNA is not there in chevrolet dealers across read same complaints about other chevy dealers. It really worries me, if such will be the case then what happens to the services. Same problem here.
Dealer - Regent Chevrolet, Mathura Road
Booking Date - 20/01/2010
Initially promised - one week
Promise after down payment - 15 days
Latest Status - Clueless.
I am seriously mulling cancelling the booking. Any body has any idea about charges deductible? I dont wanna pay anything extra since i am anywyz going to book some other car.
Update: the dealer himself wants to cancel the booking. Its probably a supply side problem. If this is how it is beginning, I shudder to think about the future service capabilities.

yeah, it's happen to me as well.. i also booked beat LT optional pack black color on 16th jan, they promised me to deliver me by 28th, then after taking amount it became 29th then the executive called and said on the same day that there is full demand so it will be delivered me by 3rd of Feb... and on 2nd Feb the manager from the showroom called saying due to production constraint they are not able to give any fix date. On asking for cancelling the booking, they promised again to deliver by 10th and then next made it 12th Feb. But when i asked again the confirmation they were not sure again... morning shows the day... if this is the service before sale, how will be after sale service...

Same problem I am facing with Regent Auto. Mathura Road, Delhi.
Booking date - 10th jan 10
Committed delivery period - 7 to 10 days.
Latest Status - New story every time I approach them, most of the time vehicle is ready for delivery at Pune but not loaded. Please help Regent. GM & me to get my car Beat LT model Lienen Beige loaded in container.

i bookeked BEAT LT at baroda on 14/01/10 they tell me to deliver in 15 days, 15days already passed. But yet i not delivered BEAT !!! I call them they can not able to say when they give me dilivery.

K.c motors jammu (j&k) selling beat cars without registering vechile with RTO jammu. There is poor management and worst service of dealer.The claints who have purchased vechile facing problem to get there vechile registered in j&k state.The service of K.c motors and attitude with customer is also negative by the management.kindly look into the matter personally and stop sale till the vechile is aproved by the regional transport office jammu.The undersign have purchased beat chevorlet from the K.c motors and facing registration problem kindly intervain and direct the dealer to set right the management.

Delivered 21st Feb

Current waiting time is two months. I think its important to set expectations realistically, & make the payments/loan disbursements accordingly. In the end, its a fantastic car worth the wait.

I booked Chevrolet Beat at Anamallies Agencies, CBE they tell from GM they did not get the allotment its hardly 1 month of booking... they.. in this case they can book the car after they get the allotment from GM...In today's fast moving world booking a car and waiting for 2 Months time is to hard... If they are not able to manufacture according to sale demand then how will they give the service properly.If this is the case after get the car and any problem occurs then we wwant to wait 6 months time i think so... bad service from the both the ends

yaa they are dodging the customer and misled the customers, it is better to lodge the cheating and doding case in the consumer court please get together and file case against GM.

I am planning to buy a new Chevrolet Beat LT after reading all its reviews and complaints on different websites...m simply loving the product, but the only problem I found in Chevrolet is its dealers, which converting its happy customers to unhappy customers.
So my current concern is to find the best dealer to purchase my first car(Chevrolet Beat), so tht I will nt face any kind of pathetic experience and become happy to unhappy customer of Chevrolet.
