[Resolved]  Cleartrip — cheating customers by not providing refund of cancelled ticket due to cancellation of flight

It is highly unfortunate that the customers of cleartrip are made to do numerous follow – ups for their refund, let me tell you that the loss of goodwill to cleartrip is going to be very high because of this and people will definetly not avail your services if this the the way things are dealt at your end.

My flightfrom Delhi to Amritsar Air IndiA AI-188 was cancelled on 27th december 2010, after a mail to cleartrip i was promised a refund within 7 days and maximum 15days.. it is the 28th of january 2011 and there has been no refund or any intimation from your end.

i was provivded bus transport from delhi to amritsar which costed 1200rs. my arilines icket costed rs. 3448 and was told by the airlines to approach the travel agent (cleartrip) for the refund. now on contacting them clartrip is asking me to contact air india and visit air inida office etc.. why should a customer be hassled this way, in that case i could have directly booked through the airlines and not them.

The customer care executives are not responding and are very callous in thier natur.
i wish to file a case against them for refund of my ticket (bal amt) rs. 2248 and also a further compensation for mental harassement.

please do not force your customer to take up legal recourse

Dear Madam,

As per the Airline, the ticket status is "Used" which is also considered as traveled, hence no refund is due from the Airline.

If you still wish to claim any refund against the same ticket, as requested to you earlier on 25th January'2011 over the phone, you will have to visit the local city office of the Airline and get the status changed to "Open" with necessary remarks stating "Full Refund as flight cancelled".

We can only process the refund if the Status is open with all the relevant remarks entered by the Airline with respect to Full refund.

For any status change of the ticket, the passenger needs to visit the city office personally along with a photo ID card.

i was trying to book my flight ticket for chennai - ahmedabad on 17.08.2011 and meanwhile net disconnected but i got debit in my icici account with payment id [protected]. I posted my details in cleartrip forum for refund, they said it's temporary block it'll be cleared in 4 or 5 days they give me trip id-[protected]. After one month they are saying there is no booking made even i sent my bank statement to cleartrip.
Nowadays this type of cheatings are increased in cleartrip

clear trip — Flight Cancellation - Full Refund

Cleartrip sent me an email saying my booked flight has been cancelled. When asked for a full refund for cancellation, they refused to do a full refund and deducted cancellation fee as if it was a customer instigated cancellation. Very one sided where a consumer is being penalized for no reason.
