When I start my laptop it displaied : SMART Failure Predicted on Hard Disk 0: ST96812A-(PM) WARNING: Immediately backup your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent. This is not a complaint, but I want help in upgrading my Laptop, didnt find any satisfactory help anywhere, hence looking for some advice.
I am using Compaq Presario v2000 with 40 GB hard disk. My laptop is working pretty fine but want upgradation. I Understand that there is a slot for upgradation of the Hard Disk which is a feature with this laptop.
So wanted to know how can I upgrade my Hard disk to a additional 160 GB and how much would it cost, also wanted to upgrade the RAM to 1GB or 2 GB so how much would that cost. Need help in getting this fixed somewhere in Pune, Maharashtra, India where I live.
