[Resolved]  Country Vacation — Cancellation Issue

I Kanti L Hirani, a case in this context is my personal experience with the country vacations.
On July 13, 2012, at 14:29hrs I have received a call from the mobile number [protected], a Roopa, she was from country vacations informing me that I have received gift from the CV:
1. 6 day and 7 nights stay in their resorts holiday accommodation voucher worth of RS. 25000.
2. One day privilege pass for 3 resort
3. Kitchen set
For that I need to come along with my wife, listen to their demo about the club and go home with the free vacation voucher. I was asked to come to the country club, No.201, Near La classic hotel, YADAVANAHALLI STOP, NEAR ATTIBELE, HOUSUR MAIN ROAD, Bangalore by 17.30. Unaware of their real intentions, my wife and I have decided to visit them. As everyone, who have visited them, is aware, they told us to collect the gifts but have to sit through a small presentation. This has turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life.
Mr. Pappi Reddy and Sales man Mr. Keshav Kumar (Mobile Contact: [protected]) informed us about various club plans and requested us to join the club. First of all they give us misleading information, they said us, we are one of the 500 selected couple in Bangalore city and they are giving special offer for first 15 registered member, and if will join the membership then I will be the 13th luckiest member. Firstly they (Keshav Kumar) offer us a plan of RS. 93000 for 6 days and 7 nights, I ignored the offer, I wanted leave from there. They forced me to be seated there and offer me new scheme of membership of RS. 75000, if my wife will submit the letter of dependency on me. I ignored it and they offer new plan of RS. 43000 for 2 days and 3 nights and force me anything to take membership on the condition. The condition has promised by the Keshav Kumar for cancellation of membership if I will not satisfy with service from the Country Vacation. Keshav Kumar and Pappi Reddy said I need to take membership at this time only say yes and signed on the agreement paper (but after I come to know according to Indian government law organization or any owner of the lessor has to give minimum of 10days to lessee/tenant for read the agreements) The details of this membership are as follows:
1. We need to pay a membership fee of RS. 43000 (Forty thousand rupees only) life time membership plan.
2. We can avail a 2 days and 3 night holiday for five years free of cost at any of the club hotels or the affiliated hotels.
3. I need to pay RS. 1800 for an every holiday as maintenance charge.
4. Every five year I need to pay RS. 10000 to renew my membership.
5. Free car pickup from airport/Train station to the hotel and free car drop from the hotel to the airport and railway station.
6. Free usage of gym facility in their club for one year.
7. Five years free massages and Jacuzzis along with the free usage of sports room.
8. Free couple passes to the events such as New Year eve, Valentine’s Day, Diwali, Dasera etc.
9. Free hosting of personal events such as birthday, marriage days and other such occasions in their club.
10. 20% discount on each booking of air ticket.
11. 20% discount on food.
12. One free holiday, as I am registering the membership on same day.
Trusting that the club will not do any fraud, using my union bank of India debit card, I have paid RS. 25000 (Twenty five thousand only) to the club. By the time he has explain me if I will paid my full amount by credit card then at time Keshav will me cash amount of whatever I have been paid already through other option of payment mode.
And will receive welcome kit which will contain all the details about the club membership along with the receipt for the amount paid as well as the details of offers which we were promised. We have not received anything; I thought some misunderstanding may happen with employee of the club. I leave it; I did not call any one.
On 20th July, 2012, we planned to use their properties at Mangalore. I have checked on their website for Mangalore CV properties. I tried to book room; website said CV properties at Mangalore are not available. Immediately I went to the a sales man Keshav Kumar (Mobile Contact: [protected]) I asked him that on the date of registration you people were showed me a photos of the Mangalore properties but your website is showing something wrong, they did not reply anything and changes the topic and said I can use properties at some else.
On the same date I have been decided to cancel my membership card, Keshav Kumar ignored me, said he cannot cancel the membership.
I did many calls to him about cancellation of membership and return the money, some them they ignored our call or some the call answer but answer were like, he will call after 3 hours.
One day (around 18 Aug, 2012) again I have been reach to club for cancellation of membership; I gave my written letter for cancellation. Keshav Kumar told me that he will forward this letter at high level, and I will get my money back within the month. After that I did not receive any call from Keshav or any person of the club on the issue of return my money. By the time I received many calls from the account persons, asking to pay remained balance amount of RS. 18000.
On 15th Sep, 2012, I went to meet the Manager of Bangalore Country Vacation branch at Shivaji nagar. I met with Mrs. Tilakavathi, she said they cannot cancel my membership and return the money but they can transfer to other new member. She said; she will try getting the couple who willing to take your membership, I said I did not want to transfer, I want cancel that’s all. She gave me period of a 15days. I agreed with her.
Again on the date of 29th Sep, I and my wife went to meet Mrs. Tilkavathi. I have been discussed many issue with her. I asked many question to her about the CV. I have told her about the Mangalore incident and one more Tirupathi incident happened with me; on that issue denied me to give any reply; she was acting like she is very busiest person the in office by ignoring me.
Some of the point I have written below as part of my arguments with her:
1. I: tell the governmental agency in which your organization has been registered.
She: we cannot share this kind of information.
2. I: I can go to governmental agency (like Grahak Seva) against you
She: You can go, but I won’t find any reply from there, and you will loss more and more money if I will step on the government agency.
3. I: why your organization is not giving enough time to read the agreement, even there is law of Indian government that, every lessor should give a time of minimum 10 days to read an agreement, and you are lessor here.
She: it is not policy of over organization.
I: your organization is under the government of India, right. Then why should this law is not for you, this law cover all the citizen and lessor of india.
She: (no reply, act like busy with her work on computer)
4. (I asked to her about return of money, as previously (during a time when I was paying fees of RS. 25000) Keshav Kumar told me to return the cash amount of RS. 25000 if I will pay the full amount by credit card)
I: (I explain whatever Keshav told me), if your sales man (Keshav Kumar) can return the cash amount, then why you cannot; you are the Bangalore branch manager of CV??
She: (Called Keshav, (communication was in Telagu, I am Gujarati but little bit of Telugu I can understand) and asked him about this thing. He said yes to Tilakavathi)
“after call get finished, the lire lady manager told me that Keshav is ignoring this kind thing that he has told to me”
I: said, I want to have conference call with Keshav
She: (Ignore me like anything)
5. At last
I: I will not move from this room until and unless you will return the money back to me
She: you cab seat here, I want mind
I: ok, thanks
Again, I asked same thing about registration of CV (mention in first point )
She gets angry on me and shouted on me like anything and said “Get lost”, “Get lost”, “Get lost”
Still date I am calling to Tilakavathi and Keshav Kumar, they are not receiving a call or otherwise they are just giving time to give next call, every time. I have recorded call since 11th Oct, 2012,
Please help me to cancel the membership and to get the return back my money
Action needs to be taken as soon as possible against this company before they fool many other innocent people.

Did you get your money back ?

We (All the victims of Country Club Mis-selling/Scam) should come on same platform like whats app to discuss how to get our money back. We should also raise the issue in media by some demonstration or other means. Country vacation would never entertain any individual. If it goes to media, another thousand victims will join us.
