* We are getting water supply only for 15-20 minutes per day which is not fullfill for a family.
* We are getting water supply at 2-3am ( Night) which is very difficult for every person.
* we are not getting proper presure of water so we have to use booster pump.
* Only one pump operator available for 24hrs. and he is not available for working hrs.the other operators comes only for their attendance updation.
* Water quality is not drinkable.we are drinking this salty & muddy water which is very harmfull for human body.
* One water supply pump in vatirnety hospital is non working from last 3months.

Regarding this we have already booked a complaint no.4951 dt.21/02/10 at CCR, Jhandewalan, Delhi.

Also noticed to all related officers at local lavel at many times.
But till wrighting this mail we have not received any positive response regarding above complaints.


Delhi Jal Board is committed to supply fresh & drinkable water to every person and every where in Delhi. Then we are not in Delhi or this is not our right to get and drink clean water.

I am residing at 123, Gautam Nagar, New Delhi. There is a sewer outside our house leaking badly since yesterday and due to this water is coming at the basement of the house. I have launched a complaint at 1916 and at your R.K.Puram Centre at 26100644 as well but still nobody came to attend this complaint. I have tried so many numbers which I am listing at the end of this complaint and I didn't get any response from any of the responsible persons numbers..even they have switched off their mobiles and some are not picking their mobile phones as well as office phones..

I reside at 138B, EKTA APTS, A2B Paschim Vihar, New Delhi.Mailing you this information is a futile excersize or not, I will only know when a positive action will be taken by you.Yesterday one person from DJB came to my house to check the meter reading.I was not at home.He told my son that the meter was showing much higher reading.The last reading was 1672 and present reading showed 2559.A difference of 887.My son made the person from DJB spoke to me on my mobile.He said the current bill would be close to Rs.40, 000/-I have the latest bills in my possesion and it clearly show the maximum Kilo liter consumed by us was 126.I wonder how come it has jumped to this high.I got my water pipes checked by the plumber and it was found OK.Also can any household consume this much within a span of 2/3 months.For your information my average consumption is maximum 100 KL per bill.It seems either the meter has been tampered or it is defective.Though I am yet to recieve the bill, my purpose of sending you this mail is to request you to look into this matter before the bill is generated.I give you my billing and connection details.Name:Shri V.P.Anand, A-2B/138-B, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi.Area:20/WZ-2, Meter Reader Code:291, Water connection Number 103341.I very sincerely expect you to look into this matter and solve it.

Dear sir,
I am a resident of Mayur Vihar phase-1 pocket-2 .our colony receives impure & dirty water along with sand, which is unfit for drinking, even after repeated filterations. The water we get through our taps, completely defeats the inherent properties of water. It is usually brown, contains visible impurities & tastes horrible. At times it smells so badly, as if it's coming directly from some drains.
We don't even feel like to drink water, l
I want to bring to everyone's attention that, if DJB cannot provide safe water for drinking, what can a common man expect for other purposes.I also bring to your notice that as i was away from delhi for 4 months and recieved a bill of Rs 203 for only 3k ltrs of water consumption during my absence. Delhi Jal board charges Rs 193 /- as service charhe for only 3 kltrs consumption.

during october 2010 common wealth games in month of july 2010 since then we have verbally and telephonically complaind to the Delhi Jal Board office and MCD to get pipe lines mended up as all the precious drinking water was flowing on the road for no use causing slush on the road and distrubing all the traffic. As this is a Industrial Area and many vehicles have to come to different industries are not able to come to factories as they generally get stuck with a break down causing heavy loses to the transporter and factory owner.

We request you to kindly visit the road personally to get problem solved we hope you will consider the matter seriously and help us as early as possible.

1. JAL BOARD HAS TAKEN ONE LONG YEAR IN REPLYING TO MY COMPLAINTS.

2. I AM TOTALLY GRIEVED & DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR STEREOPHONIC REPLY WHICH IS LEAST NEAREST TO MY COMPLAINT OF HIGHER READING.

3. “UPON CHECKING OF METER READING BY DEPUTING YOUR OFFICIAL DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT METER READING RECORDED IN THE METER DIARY IS CORRECT.”

4. Jal Board has arrived to a conclusion only on the assumption of correct reading merely depending upon the record maintained by the efficient official who first time reports as:1) (NO RESPONSE FROM THE METER & ON NEXT VISIT 2)A PROVISIONAL BILL IS RAISED WITHOUT SPECIFIC REASON. ON THIRD VISIT THE SAME METER STATUS IS OK & READING IS RECORDED IN THE OFFICIAL DIARY. THREE OCCASIONS ---- THREE CONTRADICTIONS.

I would allege that the claim as above is false & incorrect.
I AM NOT ONLY CONFIDENT BUT confirm that meter has jumped suddenly during this corresponding period.
In support of my say, I am attaching statement of my average consumption for the last two years as specified in water bills.
THE CASE HAS NOT BEEN DECIDED ON MERITS.
Pl. refer to my reminder dated 5TH July, 2010, in which I requested that bill be revised on the basis of average reading of last couple of years.
I wish to refresh your memory as under:

I agree, I had mentioned the word “wrong meter reading” since the bill reading was too high compared to past water bills. But I had also requested in my REMINDER of July 05, 2010 which supersedes my earlier letter of 5th May, 2010, (last para),
“I once again pray for your reconsidering adjustment & issue a fresh bill on the basis of last 2-5 Years average of my water bills”.
THIS ASPECT HAS NOT BEEN CONSIDERED WHILE REPLYING TO MY COMPLAINT.
I would request you to please review this case and & be impartial & fair while reconsidering your decision & issue a revised bill on the basis of average consumption of water per month in order to resolve complaint.
I had categorized in my reminder that “AS A PROTEST I WOULD NOT DEPOSIT MY NEXT WATER BILL UNTILL & UNLESS I AM GIVEN JUSTIFIED & CONVENCING GROUNDS FOR SUDDENLY RECEIVING SUCH A FAT WATER BILL NEVER RECEIVED IN THIRTY YEARS”.
Your unjustified & vague reply letter has been recd. by me after almost one year i.e. ON 17th March, 2011 as against my first visit to your office on 26th March 2010 (Ref. my letter of May 05, 2010).
Still being an honest Sr. Citizen, I have deposited three installments of Rs 1000.00+Rs 1000.00+Rs 2000.00. I notice water bills recd. thereafter; penalty of late payment has been imposed. The fact is, JALBOARD has to be blamed for this unwarranted delay (ONE YEAR) in replying.
I once again reiterieate FOR SYMPATHETIC CONSIDERATION & REVISION OF WATER BILL TOGETHER WITH DELETION OF PENALTY IMPOSED.
Looking forward to receiving revised bill a fresh at the earliest to avoid further delay in deposit the balance bill after adjusting the amount deposited in advance OR SOLICITING A PERSONAL MEETING TO EXPLAIN MUCH MORE & APPRISE YOU OF TRUE EPISODE.

I am staying in Pocket-C of Sarita Vihar (C-365). In a cluster of Flats and including mine, we are compelled to consume stinking water supplied by DJB, since last 2 months. We have been complaining on phone to the officials up to EE (S) IV ( Mr. SPS Chauhan). Every time we are assured that the potable wtaer supply will be resumed shortly, but with no respite. The water is so stinking that you even can not smell, what to talk about consuming the same. After repeated complaints, some o[censored]s are provided Tanker supply for few days. We are forced to call private Supplier for daily needs also.

I hope that the problem shall be looked in to with highest priority.

We are facing same Bad water quality in Gulabi Bagh DDA flat-Delhi-7
