Hi techsavy friends if you are looking for a new laptop purchase my sincere advice is dont go for dell. I had a studio 14 laptop purchased direct from dell. I paid money through my credit card some where around first week or so in march 2009. After instant payment through mobile phone on the day of finalising quotation i was told i would receive laptop in 7 to 10 working days. But it was not the case. I had to talk to that sales rep Mr.Awanesh singh several times over phone. At some point of time i had to end up registering my voice in voice mail box. After 20 to 23 days on 1st of april2009 i received the laptop through courier. But i had ordered a midnight blue color laptop and received a black one. I again called that sales person and he promised to replace the cover in few days but nothing happened like that. In the mean while i could not get him over phone during office time. Then i called customer care department and scolded then they gave his superviser Mr.Clint carvallo no. again i called that guy and told every thing and as usual he promised to solve. But even after few weeks it was not done. Every time i make a call from my mobile or land line it would end up in voice mail box. I got irritated and again i called customer care and they gave his higher officer Mr.NikunjMurukutla no. That person tried to solve my problem and again few weeks lapsed and finally he came up with a solution of replacing the laptop. Again for few weeks only calls and mails sent with poor progress. Again the 2nd level higher officer arranged for return documents from customer care department in the 3rd week of june. I am still waiting to return this piece and i dont know how long this would take to complete. In between i fed up and asked these people to give 9 cell battery or a graphics card for the excess money i paid for color panel but except dell warranty they refused to give anything. Now i regret buying a laptop from dell that too dell direct purchase. Worse is if something serious happens in the laptop how could these people respond fast. We have to wait for weeks together for rectification. What i suggest is don't buy anything direct from dell. once you finalize your payment and you wont be given proper reply and don't even bother these people to inform the customer about delay. In india these multinational companies like dell mint money(costly price in india if you compare with US ) and give poor service. If my grievance delays further i have decided to go to consumer court to sue these people not for extra money but to give lesson not to repeat the same to another customer. I request others who have after sales issues with dell, please share your experience here so that retail customers like us are the most exploited by these multinational companies and let others to know about this. E commerce in india wont pickup because of issues like this. This is my first online purchase which is a blunder mistake. Visiting a show room and talking face to face to a person who sold you some thing is better to solve any after sale issue. The same Dell in US or western countries would have promptly returned or solved the issue in time. Here our indian employees of dell are loyal to their multinational employer forgetting business ethics and consumer rights and they treat retail customers as a lesser citizens and care only corporate customers.

Dell Laptop — After sales issues

HI.
after try to solve my problems and ennumbers of request to solve my problems my issue is not solved with Dell co .
i purchased a dell lap top in Jan . which thy delivered late i agreed .and thy gave me complsations for the same.
after some time my laptop started giving problems . i reported the same to dell customers care they asked to contact dell tech team i did the same they promised me a cal back which i never recevied . i have problems with my laptop
1: speakres give cracking sound
2: CDs dont work in my laptop .
3: they gave me bluetooth headset which is not working
4: laptop body is loosen which m trying to fix .for a long time .
5: on my laptop right hand top there are craches forming
6: laptop dose not close tightly

i paid them full amount at once ..it not even in inltallements then why should get such a terible service .
not even responce to issues . they trying to ignore .. i watned my laptop to be replaced ...

i bought a dell laptop inprision 1545 in july . now it is not working my lot of work is pending . i many time call in custmer care but they are not sovled my problem. please imegatly repair my laptop. i have all document related to laptop

I am having a harrowing time myself.

CASE HISTORY:

• I chose to Buy a Laptop Dell XPS 1645 from Dell in the 11th of Nov with the delivery date as 1st Dec.

• On the 28th of Nov this was arbitrarily cancelled and on the 1st of Dec the delivery date was updated to 9th of Dec.

• Today on the 8th of Dec they arbitrarily chose to extend this to the 21st of Dec.

Going by the above stated facts it is clear that I have made a grave mistake trying to associate myself with Dell. Also it seems the customer doesn’t exist for them because nobody has contacted me and told me the reasons to the delay or even asked for my consent if I am fine with this delay in the first place.

This is the second revision in delivery date being made for the Laptop, ie, they are unable to honour their own ‘revised completion’ date that they themselves chose in the first place. I’m thought this is an aberration as such slackness does not augur well for a company of this stature and will definitely do them no good but this clearly shows their slack work ethics.

I am scared to buy this product because of the fact that they are unable to deliver it in the first place therefore, lord forbid, but if the laptop develops problems then, they would take years to get it rectified.

I placed the order on the 11th of Nov and they are now suggesting to deliver it on the 21st of Dec. It is preposterous to deliver a gadget/product in 40 days from the date of booking, this clearly shows that they do not know what they offer in the first place.

I have not asked for anything fancy, as i simply chose the default configuration they had on offer, still they are finding it difficult to honour their commitment, this is extremely sad state of affairs.

I want the delivery of the laptop asap or they should return my money along with interest as they have unnecessarily charged me without themselves knowing when they can honour their commitment of delivering a laptop.

Dell executives are also exceptionally unfriendly and unhelpful. When i brought this to their notice they simply said parts are not available
It is shameful for a company to give such a reply, and my misfortune that i am buying a laptop from them. My neighbourhood electrician/mechanic or computer guy would never dare to say that ‘the parts are not available’ after taking the order and money, because of fear of losing business, somehow they seem to be confident of their company’s conning tactics.

If they didnt have the requisite inventory then why did they accept my order in the first place?
I am buying a Dell Laptop for the sheer joy of getting good service and here they are unable to even deliver the laptop besides, taking no interest whatsoever in my case.

40 days( with a 20 day delay) for a laptop to be delivered is completely unacceptable, i am sorry that i dared to buy a device from dell, and will make sure nobody in my neighbourhood goes through this ordeal again

Dell XPS 1645 — Poor Customer Service

I have purchased a Dell XPS 1645 laptop but after 1 year, I am facing problem with my optical DVD drive. Now after I requested the customer care regarding the same, it was replaced within 48 hours. But after replacement, another problem arose and it was that my optical buttons(touch) were not working after the DELL engineer replaced the optical drive. I have sent innumerable mails to Dell regarding the same but to no good. I tried calling them up, but still there would be no response from their side.

DELL — not solving problem

My laptop is is not working.I complain to dell customer care, but they are not listening as warranty has expired.
I am ready to pay the money for the repairment they are not ready.

dell vostro laptop — problem will not resolving properly

sir i am basavaraju.m,g,i taken one lap top dell vastro 1540 laptop,the problem will is that automatically shut down and this is 2nd time will occurring this problem.i gave servicing from last 40days.and the problem will again same.and the laptop is not an indian model,this is an import product.

Dell — pc not working since bought

after running for a few minutes the sound gets muffled and the system hangs up tried registring through toll free no a couple of times but always failed to connect v disappointed
