I have logged a complaint regarding the installation of dish TV on sunday at 9:13 am (Complaint Number[protected]. They told me that a your problem will solve within 24 hours. But no one has actually came to install the dish tv as 35 hours has already passed, since i logged the complaint regarding the same. More over i received a call from pune regarding the installing but yesterday i have already given my new address of Noida. I made so many calls to the customer care at[protected], but they are not providing the solution. The customer care support is pathetic. They have already wasted my several hours over the phone, i made several call to them, but again they are waste.


This kind of work attitude will leads to customer dissatisfaction and you will loose potential customers. Really PATHETIC SERVICE.
I strongly recommend you, Please do not but DISH TV.

After installation and activation i am not able to see any extra channel except free to air.20 days have been passed i am keep calling local dealer regarding the issue and they r just in trend to say "pls put ur set on for 24 hrs then u will got all the chaanel " but its all in vain.same response i have got from customer care which usually keep on circulating call to one person to another .Its very harsing that more than the cost of pakage i am spending in calling these customer carelocal dealer.Th service is very pathetic if compay can not provide support to their product then they should not be lauched in market.

I called DISH tv customer care few days back(last Saturday) & got my e-mail registered so that i log in your website. It was supposed to be registered within 24 hours but it is almost 120 hours & my e-mail has not been registered.

I paid one months subscription(300) through easy bill on MONDAY & till date my dish tv connection has not been restored.
My wife in last two days has launched this complaint twice.

I am a regretfull customer & waiting for TATA SKY to offer an exchange scheeme so that i dump my dish tv services & get TATA SKY instead.

I raised one complain for Signal Problem to their customer service. They claim that within 48 hours it will be resolved. Now it's more than 60 hours and i did not get any call from them. I used to call them daily 3-4 times but no response. My complain no is :13475565, i raised it on 27th May morning at 9 AM. Today its is 29th and time is 9 pm. I just talked to customer service and i'm shocked to hear that this complain was resolved and a new one got created and that will be take another 24 hours. Their service is pathetic and they dont care about consumer. If they cant provide service then they should atleast return their money. They are causing mental agony to consumer. I dont know to whom i should contact to get my money back. I'm so annoyed that i dont want their service and dont recommend anyone to go for Dish Tv service.

Unfortunately, I am a DISH TV subscriber. I purchased dish tv in big bazar scheme of Rs. 999. I have been regularly paying the monthly subscription before due date but since installation this system never worked and I never viewed any channel for which I had subscribed.

We have lodged various complaints and after rigorous follow up dish tv mechanic had come to set things right but till date they are not successful.

Yesterday some gentleman called up and assured to visit our residence by 3.00 p.m. but he never turned up. He only kept us waiting at home.

I request DISH TV management to personally look into my problem. They can come and have on the spot check of the working of their system.

Since last three days I am not able to view any channel whereas I have already paid the subscription for 6 months.

I once again request DISH TV people to set the things right otherwise I have no other option but to approach consumer court for redressal of my problem.

I am connected with DISH TV for a long period of time.

My last payment was of Rs 400 via credit card from my BSNL no[protected] and immediately after the payment i call the customer care to activate SILVER PACK on my VC no and 2 A LA CARTE worth Rs 40 which were free with my payment.

Despite of my phone call they activated Platinum Pack without my consent.

Again i call up customer care that they activated wrong package, they replied we will correct it in few hours.
Somehow the deduct Rs 40 and changed my plan.

I want to know for what my Rs 40 payment is deducted when i requested for SILVER PACK.
Further they are saying no free A LA CARTE this time.

Is this my reward for the attachment with DISH TV for such a long time.
Kindly Deactivate my dish tv service right after my due date as there is no listening even after my so many phone calls. I do not want to continue with such pathetic service.

This is with reference to the complaint I logged on 06/06/2009 having reference number 26004046. My complaint was that my set top box is not functioning and does not turn on. This complaint was attended on 23/08/2009 that too after repeat calls to the highly inefficient customer service department.

This is just one of the problems I am highlighting and the list is endless and I believe the problems will end only when I throw the Dish TV Boxes out of my house. I wonder if there is any Dish TV subscriber who is even marginally satisfied.

This is highly unprofessional on Dish TV’s part as ever since I have bought Dish TV it is not a feeling on leisure and enjoying the product but rather it has been a torture, harassment, financial loss. I have been spending more than my Dish TV subscription fee on my phone bill just to call customer care of Dish TV and have been made to wait for more that 1-2 hours just to get in touch with your customer care which is no care at all and rather Customer SCARE Centre. I have all the records in this regard. All this unpleasant experience really urges me to say that so called India’s no.1 DTH service is really pathetic and not only service the product itself is pathetic. I have no choice but to stick with Dish TV as I have made my payments in advance which is denied as refund to me if I wish to discontinue with Dish TV. My elderly parents who are senior citizens have no source of entertainment as this so called entertainment gadget of yours has become a pain in their life and in no way has performed as a mode of entertainment for them but mental torture as all the time they are busy calling you in hope of good. Every time there is a weather change they have to pay money in order to re-align the dish. So actually it’s their fault when it’s raining, when it’s windy, when the sun comes out, when the moon shines.

I would term this unprofessional attitude of Dish TV as criminal, cheating and fraud.

All this frustration caused due to your acts has forced me & my family not to recommend your product to any one and anyone who get a chance to see this complaint (which I will be postings on various sites and other modes) it is my request that please don't even let a thought of Dish TV come to your mind if your need peace in your life.

Let me start with my pain points:

1. I am a customer of Dish TV and exploited one.
2. Till you system works, its great but any extraordinary requriement/request is a pain. e.g ordering MOD
3. You technical service is "Horrible", "Pathetic " in all sense.
4. You customer care team, has only pre-prescribed statements to answer to customer and even some time don't know how to talk.
5. When they transfer their call to their seniors, seniors behave in funny manner...they pick up phone and say that they are not able to hear properly. this happened multiple times and happened today on 24.10.2009 at 3.35 PM when i called for an outstanding complaint (due since 10.Oct 2009). He (Sriram) pretended that that they are not able to hear while the first person (Manish) who received the call had clear communication.


I have this connection since May 2008. Whenever i have to call your customer care number [protected], it has been extremely horrible experience. Whenever i ordered Movie on Demand (MOD) it gets affected after 24 Hrs.

Recently i paid subscription for one year (valid till Oct 2010- biggest mistake ) and every day-
1. I switch on my TV i have to read the message "renew your subscription to avail the service" for few minutes and then it goes off, of its own.
2. Dish TV BOX behave erratically some times, it shows messge that check your VC card.
3. Some time TV has no signal from DISH TV Box.

I have complaint for this on 10 Oct 2009, repeated on 14/15 Oct 2009 as no one could attend this complaint. Later on i again complaint on 16th/17th/18th and 19th Oct 2009 as no one turned up. I have to live with the POOR performance of DISH TV. Every time i called i was asked to do some drills like switch on /off set top box, remove cable, insert cable and remove/insert card. but problem could not be solved. Once a suggestion was given to do all these things every day (funny technical advise).

Later on 21st Oct 2009, a guy came home and he had some other drill to do i.e. check signal...and he did some thing and went off. I got sms that complaint is resolved. However to my expectation, it was no change.

I complaint again on 22nd Oct 2009, 23.oct 2009 was told that after doing all above drills that technician will visit within 6 working hours. (However defination of working hours is not known to any one). Today (24.Oct 2009), i got an SMS that mr. Mayur will visit me at 12.00 PM on 24.10.2009 and a number was given. After waiting for hours i called on the number given in SMS and was told that the complaint is there, but technician will not come for next two days and was also told that such SMS'es are usual.

It took 12 days for Dish TV to send a technician who could not solve problem...what a customer service.

when i call the Dish TV customer care , i was told that technician wll visit me within 6 hours from 9.30 AM. The person on customer care was not even aware that 6 hours have passed by (as i called at 3.33 PM).. on my query to confirm till when the working hours will last the person has no answer, he even mentioned that technical department can only confirm and he has no clue. Then he transeferred this call to his senior (Mr. Shriram), who pretended that voice is not clear and tried to handup the phone..

I am fed up of calling this customer care of DishTV as they have standard answers:

1. Aapko batana chaunga.
2. Set of drills as mentioned above.
3. No specific commitment and confidence in resolution.

To summarize, i am fed up of PATHETIC Service of DISH TV...and request you to please let me know, when this problem can be solved. I am going to again call today at 8.30 PM, if technician does not come. But i am sure that my problem will not be resolved.

I decided to take an additional connection to my existing dishtv connectio, I informed this to the person who called me after I sent "call me" message to 57575 on 15th October. Those people came and installed a new connection instead of added on connectionon 16th October 2010. When the service engineers came for installation then also I kept on telling them i don't want a new connection I just want a child connection. They said ya ya it is a child connection only and you will receive all the channels that you see on the parent connection. But on 20th October I realised I can't see all the channels in my new connection and I again called up the customer care no. and they said its a new connection not a child.whne I recharged my new connection then they charge 100 /- extr for having HD connection which they never mentioned as mandatory before taking the connection.

I rasied so manu complain and even sent mail to customercare/escalation ..but all gave me some [protected]@#$#.
till now I have 3 complain registered and still unsolved no. as 47962027, 47515962, 47445758.
and now they are telling me to take another connection as child connection..they are just here for cheating customer and making money
My name is somaiah.CM and i have taken an Dish TV connection in my fathers name, Mr. Muthanna.CM (VC code: [protected]) say about 4 to 5 years back. The service they are providing is really bad service , every time i call the customer care service they put me on hold for 15 to 20 minutes without any reason even in case of recharge too. When we opt the language as English in the IVR, the executive who attends the call is unable to speak nor understand English. Every time i recharge my account with ITZ cash card through the customer care service i need to inform them about the extra channels which is already there in my package to be activated. The remote controller which has been given is no more working nor the set top box is functioning properly.
I had similar problems with exactly the same dealer. I took a new connection and this guy did not activate it even after 5 days. Then I couldn't track him down coz he wouldn't return my calls. These guys ask for the Pin Code as if there is one set dealer per area but actually they just send it out to everyone and and anyone can come and make a fool out of you. Finally one other dealer was kind enough to track down my dealer code (something that customer care couldn't do) and through that I was able to lodge a complaint against the dealer for no activation.
Must say, Dish TV setup really sucks!! Highly unproffessional organization and clueless customer care!! They never have any idea what to do, just keep on repeating the problem rather than offering a solution.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Got a DISH HD connection on August 8. On returning home on Aug 22 found no signal. Registered a complaint on same day with promise of restoration within 24 hrs (seeing TATA Sky service believed it). The next day tech calls up fix up time for 6:30 pm and does not turn up and keeps mobile switched off. Aug 23 day 3 another tech calls up, fixes up time for 6:30 pm does not turn up and on calling responds that he has other calls and does not know.

Day 3 call up call center and they say we will fix it in 24 hrs again.

Day 4, they say ticket is closed since problem is resolved as they cannot send tech @ 8 pm. Well for installation and taking money they could send the person 9 pm also.

Day 4 and 5 ask for the nodal officer number, they can't give it since it is very confidential (who says only govt agencies are bad, here is perfect example of how the priavte companies work).

I would like to discontinue with the servcie and get my money back.

NEVER EVER TAKE DISH TV SERVICE. shoudl sue SRK for his lousy ADS.
