Dot Cabs — Delay in pickup | |||
Hi, yesterday(4/May/2013), I had to travel from Hyderabad to Bangalore with my wife, aged mother, mother-in-law, and my new born (2 months old) kid. We had around 12 baggage bags and my train was from Kacheguda RLY station at 7:05 PM. I need to travel from Dilsukhnagar. So, I booked a cab in dot cabs (Innova) (Booking ID : 2391) for 5:45 PM. I called them for the booking around 2 PM, so they had enough time (around 3 hrs) to arrange a cab for me and they confirmed the booking. But, I didnt recieved any message regarding the cab and the driver details till 5:20 PM. I called them and enquired about it and was told that they will be sending an sms within 5 mins. But they didnt sent any sms and after contineously calling them, they gave me the driver's mobile number around 5:40. I called the driver and he told that within 5 mins he will reach my place. I called him after 10 mins and still he tells the same. This drama continued till 6:20 when I went to some place to pickup the cab from some bus stop. We started around 6:30 PM with lots of hurry, tense, and we reached the station around 6:55. Now, another drama started from the driver saying that he will not accept the credit card (while booking, they had an offer of 10% discount on credit card payments and I told them that I would be paying through CC in that case). Considering the train schedule, i could not able to argue with the driver but payed through cash. It took around 20 mins for us to reach our compartment with all the luggage carried by the porters. Fortunately, The train was delayed by 15 mins and we could catch it and had the travel. I was told by the driver that he recieved the confirmation on the pickup only after I called them couple of times which was just 5 mins after the actual pickup time. And all the time, the driver was lying saying that he will be reaching us within 5 mins (the usual stuff which all the drivers tell always). I called the dot cabs office to strictly complain on it but there was no forum where we can lodge any complaints to their higher ups. Hope, this can be taken forward so that no body can keep their important travels at stake trusting these stupid travel agencies. Out of my frustration, I had very great words to define their stupidity.. but this forum is not the right place to do so... :) Was this information helpful? | |||
