I have used the courier service to coureir a packet with Delhi on Monday (2nd March 2009). The consigment no was Z86100879. However there is no details about the whereabouts on the websites. I tried their Delhi no[protected]nobody picks it up, the let the bell ring forever). other no[protected]picked by someone). First he transfered the call and I waited for 5 min in vain. Again I dialed somebody picked, transfered, but he was clueless. Told me that he requires the address so that they can go at the address and check. They gave some mobile no [protected], but this is also switched off.
The packet was the subscription amount for the magazine and the amount was to be reached before 4th March. However today is 6th March and nobody knows where is it. It has caused me mental agony and above all despite DTDC being such a MNC had a extremely bad customer service where
a) There telephone numbers doesn't work
b) They are themselves clueless about the work they do.

I had tried to check the status online and saw for the past eight days; in the morning, the status will be shown as "Out for Delivery". However, the next day status of the previous day would have changed to "Not Delivered Via Manifest No: XXXX and new manifest number will be assigned. I tracked with different offices starting from the main Branch in Bangalore, but nobody was able to give me the contact No for the local delivery centre. The contact numbers given in the website are all wrong numbers or nobody picks up those numbers. I somehow got the numbers of some people at the Marathahalli office. The names given were Mr. Karna and Mr. Gopal. They assured me each day that the consignment will be delivered. However, it was not been delivered even after eight days. The problem was that the Marathahalli branch will send it to the Devasandra agent and the agent will send it back to the Marathahalli branch as they thought it was not in their territory. After repeated calls they said it is not their problem. The Customer Service also did not help even after repeated mails. Till this day, I have not received the shipment.
