[Resolved]  Dtdc Courier — The content in the parcel was stolen

I had sent a gift item to my friend through DTDC courier. The parcel was sent from Bangalore to Chennai. It was delivered the very next day but the content inside the parcel was stolen. They had removed the content and dumped with papers and delivered the parcel. This is absolutely disgusting. If this is the case, how can we trust and send the parcels via couriers. I have raised a complaint in DTDC but not sure whether they will find the culprit and get my item back.

DTDC Couriers — Content stolen!!

Hello,
I had couriered a package containing the mobile phone (consignment no.B[protected]. I thought they could take care of it. The mobile phone weighed around 100grams and the box in which it was packed weighed around 100 grams as well. I was questioned what was inside the package and I told them that it was an electronic item. I was charged 80rs and they had repacked it so I was charged a total of 85 rs and was given a bill of 80rs which was totally fine as the packaging was not done by the DTDC, but the shop itself. After around 2 days, the person to whom the mobile was shipped received the package. He opened the package in front of the courier boy itself because he was feeling that the package was lite and found that there was no mobile and only the spectacle box inside which the mobile phone was shipped. I complained DTDC about this and they took some days and I even got calls saying that I had not declared that the package contained mobile phone, so they are not responsible at all. So they could not investigate it.

Now, I tried to investigate the case in my city itself. They have something called inhouse scanning in the city itself. I asked for the information over there and they gave me a print out that when the package was received at that place, it weighed only 100gms. So I asked how much would you charge for this package and they told around 30rs.

So, it was definite that the content was stolen at the place where I from the DTDC franchisee itself. So I went there and the owner of the shop told that they had not taken it. Since the package weighed 200gms, I asked how could it be 100gms. They even had the logs saying the package weighed 100gms. These DTDC people are good at saying Lies. So I asked how could you charge 80rs for 100gms package and they answered told some calculations which ended with 75rs. So I told I was charged 80rs, so they answered 75+ 5 for packaging is 80rs. I told I was charged 80+5 for the package and they told that I was the one who was telling lies. I told them that, the pack is not by DTDC, so there is no point of adding it in the invoice of DTDC itself.
Over these statements, the girl who accepted my package also claimed that I had told here that the package is containing spectacles. The question is, ifever it was some spectacles, where is the spectacles atleast? Well, since I was returning the mobile to the seller because it has got some damages, I have the invoice for that as well.

Well, going to file a complaint against the franchisee and as the law states, when an complaint is filed against franchisee of any company, the complaint also takes the company into consideration.

It's my suggestion to you people that don't send anything through DTDC couriers. If they like the contents, they will have for themselves.

2).EVERY TIME MATERIAL GETS DAMAGE WHEN WE OPEN AT OUR END.DUE TO THAT WE UNABLE TO GIIVE PROMPT SERVICE TO OUR COUSTOMER. I REQUEST YOU TO GIVE GOOD SERVICE & IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS WITH COUSTOMER.WHO WILL PAY THE LOSS OF DAMAGE WORTH OF RS[protected].NEED REPLY FOR THE SAME.
