[Resolved]  E Ticket — Booking of E Ticket in Tatkal Quota

Respected Sir/Madam,

I hav planned to travel by Howrah Yesvantpur express on 8th Oct,2009.So I logged in my IRCTC username to get an E-Ticket for 8.10.2009. Since the seats were not available in GENERAL Quota, I decided to book ticket through TATKAL Quota. Then, I came to know that seats are already reserved upto 8th Oct and more than 200 seats are available on 9th Oct,09.But according to new scheme of reserving seat through tatkal quota, one can book ticket in advance upto two days of date of journey excluding the travelling date. So, I was unable to book ticket for 9th Oct,09. So, I decided to book my ticket on next day which was 07.10.2009.

On 7th Oct,09, I logged in to book a ticket on 9th Oct,2009 in Howrah Yasvantpur Express (Train No : 2863) which runs daily.

As I knew that the booking of E-Tickets through IRCTC onlinebooking service by Tatkal Scheme can be done only after 8am. So I logged in 8.01am (time displayed on www.irctc.co.in) and clicked on "Plan My Travel" section to book my ticket. I was schoked to see that all tickets had been booked by 8.01am.

How can be possible ? In just 1 minute more than 200 tickets can be booked. Actually I have aready seen the no of available seats in the same train on the previous day and the detail shown was available 240 or something like that.

I am too woried and schoked after encountering this frustating situation. I would like to get complete explanation on this event.

I hope the problem will be resolved in the future.
