[Resolved]  Easy Cab — unexpected delay and false commitments

Hi,

I was to attend an important business meeting at 8:45 A.M. next day morning.So I booked Easy Cab one day before. As per the process, confirmation message was received on spot while the car details were provided 1 hour before the pick up time which was 7:15 A.M.

When no cab appeared at 7:15 A.M., I gave a call to Easy Cab.They falsely promised that the cab will reach within 5-10 minutes.I extracted the Cab's driver number.To my astonishment, when I called up Cab Driver, he was in Lajpat Nagar at delhi (35-40 KMS from point of pick up) and to add to it was unaware of my pickup.This was the cab number given to me by Easy Cab representative.

I called up again, , over and over again, they falsely promised me that cab would come within 5-10 minutes.Finally, they managed another cab and the same appeared at 8:02 A.M at my home.

When I called up, they apolozise and upon perseving, they offered me 10% discount on bill.I missed my business meeting which had damaged my professional image in front of the target audience.

There are couple of aspects which are to be highlighted:-

a) Any person who books such a highly paid cab service, the only reason is to get good service.
If there committment doesn;t stand so, they should compensate in whatever manner proactively.
b) Customer care executives should not lie saying that Cab broke down due which it was delayed, when I had called up the driver myself and he was unaware of pick up.I wonder if such a case was there, even the driver would have told me.
Even if the cab was broken down, Easy cab should inform me about the same in time so that I could arrange something else.
c) Customer care executive had value for my time and inconvinience associated with it, They sais they can offer me 10% discount on fare.Any person who is paying 15 Rs/Km for a cab service is well off and demands aplogies and proper compensatory action.The offer was as we are trading of for the inconvinience.
d) There is nothing wrong in admitting that yes, we are at fault and we shall try to come up with the best possible solution instead of putting up false excuses.


But as we have seen from childhood, injustice prevails over here at it's best.

I am not too sure if something will happen from posting this suffering on me, but probably consumer shall become aware some day and an easily accessible forum is established which punishes such misconduct and mistreatment on the spot.
