Easy Entertainment Pvt. Ltd./Movie Bank — Rude service and non refund of refundable deposit and balance

About 3 years ago, i noticed an interesting DVD vending machine at a retail store in Worli, that dispensed rental DVDs to members with a card. I called up and joined. I was asked for a Rs. 3000/- refundable deposit, which i paid. After a year, we found the machine was often not functional, and on complianing, was told by Mr. Gaurav (the promoter) that there were technical issues due ito dust, and that i should opt for the free home delivery mode instead. I did -and was then asked to pay Rs. 1000/- in advance against the DVD rentals. In the initial stages, this worked fine, but over a period of time, i found their service erratic - phones not reachable/not answered, limited options to choose, not picking up DVDs for months etc. Finally on February 8th, they sent someone to pick up a DVD from home when i was out walking - without calling me in advance or when the man came. When i came back home i saw a message on my mobile from Gaurav complaining about how difficult it was to handle hoe delivery with difficult customers. I was obviously angry - because if anything i had right through supported and encouraged him/his business even when the service was sub-standard. I messaged him back saying then he should terminate my membership and return my deposit. He then turned abusive and insulted me personally. I ahve since then sent him numerous SMSs asking for termination of my membership and the return of the Rs. 3000/- refunadable deposit and the Rs. 800/- credit gaainst my current advance rentals. He now does not take calls from me, does not respond to my messages etc. I also emailed the contact email ID on the easyent.in website, called their numbers etc., but got no response. Finally, i sent a boy with a letter asking for my membership cancellation and refund o their listed office from their website to find that they ahve not been operating an office there for over a year! I am angry that such a scam service is allowed to function and cheat unsuspecting customers like me without the least concern or professional courtesy. Please help.
